I don't think Blockpool can surpass Ark with marketcap. There are just too many things going on with Ark right now with bigger team, abundant development funds and huge community.

You can't expect that to happen very soon. The project targets businesses with their own platform to communicate with Blockpool project, these includes the proprietary ones. I don't think that would be easy for them to do particularly to the proprietary software but if they can deliver, its worth the wait.
