Port Change and Pool Reward Fix Was Successful
Hello everybody,
Today at 2017/10/16 08:40:15 Block 17000390181415725079 the port change trigger was successfully put into place. If you are running a delegate that did not update or somehow got stuck during the change we ask you either pull in the new code or rebuild your DB and resync as you are now losing out on forging rewards.
If you check your logs and notice you are stuck on a block, you will need to resync your chain by running dropdb "DB Name" createdb "DB Name" and restarting your node. Wait until the chain syncs and you should be good to go from there.
If you didn't update your node in time you will need to make a copy of your current config and pull in the new code. You must then update the config file with your DB info and secret. Restart the BPL-Node and wait for the chain to sync.
Those running the Blockpool wallet will need to update the mainnet information by clicking the gear at the top right of the screen and choosing manage network. Mainnet should be your only option. Replace 4001 with 9030 and 4002 with 9031. Restart your wallet and you will be good to go.
We are putting out updated wallets with the new port information shortly.
Regards, locohammerhead

Hi, someone can explain me how can I join a pool please ? ^^ I just voted a delegate via Blockpool client, what next ? Thanks !
I am running a pool bplpool.cryptooz.com you can vote for delegate cryptooz_pool and earn 90% return on your stake balance. This is kinda interesting I have visited your pool but there's no tutorial on how to vote, can you lead me to a video or a tutorial on how to stake blockpool by voting delegate, this is something interesting I just bought blockpool from a friend so looking forward to know more about blockpool Hello all, here is a quick link on how to vote for my pool or any other delegate (the following link is for Ark but it still applies for Blockpool) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NetVbCbFJcQIf you want to vote for my pool the process is the same except add "cryptooz_pool" as the delegate. If required I will make a video specifically for my pool. There is a brief description here on how to vote for my pool. http://bplpool.cryptooz.com/about.phpYou don't need to do anything special, once voted your address will show in my pool and you will start receiving rewards based on your balance. Payments are every 24 hours if your pool balance is over 2 BPL. Thanks for posting this I'm interested to participated and I have BPL here for voting I will watch the video and all the tutorials this is indeed unique I really want to see this on exchange but I'm comfortable to test everything

One thing that really helps our shared cause if community engaging with the exchanges. Pushing them to list us before others and showing support for the project over social media etc. If someone knows of an exchange that allows coin voting, go right ahead and have us listed on there. No need to ask us first before doing it and if the exchange needs someone official from the team to make a request, I would be more than happy to do that.

I don't understand why Blockpool would need to be DPOS and wasting nodes resources when it have 201 delegate spots and barely anyone want to run it. Blockpool could of been simple POS seen it don't reward people running node. My suggestion is Blockpool to have reward 1 or .5 BPL per transaction to delegate plus the 5% to the token holder, then the reduce of token holder reward as planned. I just don't see the point of people running node right now because of not much reward or benefit given.

How much do you need to run a node? How many coins a node produces per day on average? Just trying to see if its profitable to run one.

You need 10 BPL to register as a delegate, then 1 BPL to vote yourself in. Then what you earn is based on your total BPL voting balance (your BPL balance and the balance of other votes you may receive) apx 5% per annum.

I think it depends on your/your voters amount of coins? Earnings are 5% p.a. Because of no listing yet you cant know if it is profitable

It is like when bittrex took this opportunity when polo started it and now they have the same problems.

If I understand correctly you are asking how much (in terms of rewards) that you could expect from a stake of 800 bpl. 800 bpl would generate a little less than 1bpl per week at the current market cap. The delegates could reward their voters with anywhere from 10% to 90% of the rewards generated from their voters, so the amount you would receive from voting could vary from .1 to .9 bpl. I hope this helps!
