2016 x4 = 8064 blocks. 75% of that is 6048 of the 8064.

Tl;DR: we need 6048 in the next activation period

Think of it like a game we need to score 6048 points.

If the other side scores more then 2016 points then we lose this round.

The game starts in about a day.  Annnd Go!

Litecoin embraces the future technology Segwit, I confidently believe that LTC will finally activate Segwit because LTC is one future coin. We will have a better future if we use SW.

Too much weightage is given to the proportion of hashing power, number of nodes signalling support, etc.
The developers should just go ahead and activate it.

Too many people using unnecessarily uncommon words like neophytes (just a cool looking way of saying newbie) to make it harder to understand for some people as well.

We need to average over 75% for segwit to be activated in order for the coin to adapt it over a period of I assume 2 weeks ( depending on how quickly we can mine that many blocks) developers can’t just activate it unless miners accept it. See, there is always a simpler way to describe things.

Warning... anonymint will be very convincing with technical babble (probably accurate) but only based on what he wants to pump.  He is trying to move markets and has a good way of doing so by being very convincing in his words.  But please understand.. It is mostly smoke and mirrors to benefit himself.

More people purchasing Litecoin will support the SegWit situation. With more people trying to use Litecoin the price of it will increase while more promotion for SegWit will be built.

.

Not if the speculators don't trust the market. This one is def manipulated.

The only option might be to buy more hash

If you have a GPU miner, start mining it.

The Litecoin subreddit reports that there are some attempts to derail segwit. see

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/65hvvu/retired_gpu_mining_brothers_a_call_to_arms/

So they need all the help they can get.

UASH will never on the litecoin. Become a full node to give a support for the segwit litecoin. UASF just make segwit being a responsibility to resolve the scalability problem of bitcoin. LTC is not need it.
anti segwit will strongly keep his hashpower to prvent segwit.

Pro segwit has 2316 of the 6048 or roughly a third of the way their.

I guess that's one way to support it, but I'm not too sure if that really has a big effect on the Segwit support.
Better to rent some mining power and support segwit by mining.
