remember that sia is dumped each day buy miners, because claymore released a dual mining, and they get free sia by mining ETH, so i doubt this coin will increase much, there are also other coins that do what sia can do i see nothing special in siacoin to be fair

It all depends on what someone is willing to buy siacoin at and what someone is willing to sell siacoin at. It will be a game of supply and demand for siacoin, as the "cloud" will be a $390B industry by 2020. As a solid value coin, if other alts will fall for some reason, siacoin could also be in demand as investment. If siacoin was $5/coin, people would simply buy a percentage of the coin if storage cost was less, so the claim that the developers wanting it to stay low is not true.

Siacoin has a working service, and there is a demand for this service. There's an article on Storj with their $30M ICO and what they have/have not accomplished that their investors should look into.

Their creators probably always knew that their coin was going to be at this low, low price for a very long time. Whatever we witnessed on Sia's rise previously were all the actions of whales and profit takers. I do not usually like how projects launch ICOs for products that do not exist, but I guess it is not Sia's fault in this case that millions were invested in this project and that has partially piled on the pressure.

In fact I am amazed that the price has held so well with all the ETH miners dumping it daily. 2 cents in 2018 = modest estimate!

I think this coin will pump up in the future, not immediately though but slowly it will increase its price. Time will only tell and hoping good news or new updates from this coin too. I'll probably give this coin around 5 years to see if it will increase or not.

It looks dead, price-wise. I can't see a massive pump happening. I think it will just fall gradually but continually. You can take it that I'm not a big fan.

SIAcoin team need to show us now that they can actually compete in the space, some new competing project have enter the space this year and it is telling on the project. It is a nice idea and have a good team to deliver on their promise

Not possible. There are many competing coins which have better marketing

The use case for Siacoin is great, but the issue I see is that storing data isn't exactly intuitive or easy to navigate.

If they develop the interface to be more similar to existing cloud storage setups I think that'd go a long way to improving it's outlook.

Also, developers should think about increasing the difficulty of coin mining or establishing an upper limit of supply.

Its an undervalued coin, I believe it will go up, I have saved quite a bunch of them, By the way this is great times to buy siacoins, It somehow relates to digibyte whenever dgb go rise, it also starts flying and when dgb go downfall it goes down too. dont know the reason may be it just follows dgb.

Ethereum will turn to POS. Those claymore miners will move to another big and expensive coin instead of sticking with $0,10 SIA.
And the peak has been $0,19 just a month after those lost hope on profit, so much about giving up to early.

At this stage this coin needs some BIG news to propel it forward, I know there is an anticipated update in November to all p3p file sharing which might help things along.

I suppose another way of looking at it is that we could be in one of those temporarily 'dead' projects which do nothing for a long time then all of a sudden skyrocket

I gave up on this coin. I do not see some big gains from it. There are other coins like siacoin and I will just monitor what coin will prevail.
