I don't think 1k is the maximun because there are more than 1k addresses now!

I also think there is no limit for maximum amount how many addresses are will be collected. It seems it's open for 24 hours and all addresses will be added into this contract.

Maybe DEV choose the first 1000 "VALID" Addresses (Ethereum local wallets and not from exchanges).

1st there is no limit for the ethereum address, read from the whitepaper point 2.a
The first phase will be to collect as many ethereum addresses as possible.

unfortunately after things have happened you cannot be 100% assured that they are or are not cheaters! if and i do say IF they would have used a very simple exit node check they would have made sure the IP were real and not duped. it is too late now as exit nodes change every 12/24 hours and what was then a exit node is now someones true ip so it too late to accuse!

Yes, As the form itself filter IP addresses - I hope at least 90% of the addresses are genuine.

That should not really happen if you address gets included in the contract.
You will have to trust the Ethereum blockchain and smart contract technology though.
If the smart contract is good and without security problem it will work like that:

1. Your Ethereum address will get all tokens assigned.
2. The tokens will all be "locked" and can't be transferred.
3. The tokens will become "active" and free for transfer over time through "Automatic Mining" (see the contract for details)
4. Ethereum and the contract should ensure that it is only you who can send the tokens to someone else.

That is how I understand it ... just stumbled on it today.

Side note: You will have to pay ethereum fees to transfer the tokens and "use" the ethereum contract.

If every single address is counted valid then the total number of supply will be huge which is not good for the token bu itself. I hope the supply will be within reasonable amount.

Initially we were planning to restrict to 1000 addresses.

This is because the more the hardcoded addresses in the code the more the cost to deploy the contract on the ethereum blockchain.

However since the response was higher than expected and we want to give a chance to everyone, we will try to include all of them. All the addresses submitted until 5 PM UTC today will be counted as valid Genesis Addresses.

The effective total supply will be relative as people will only have few coins available over time, to reach the total supply may take hundreds of years. For example ethereum actually doesn't have a fixed total supply, the supply is infinite, that doesn't mean that ethereum is hyper inflated.

We are waiting for the Genesis Addresses collection to be over to determine the actual values for the formula.
