A couple of years would be considered long, considering how BTC fluctuates, how high do you expect it will go, (not hope, lol, expect) ?

Forever, this is basically digital gold, it is something that is passed down not something you trade. I guess you could, but it is mainly a preserver of value.

I used to treat bitcoin trading just like gambling in pennystocks, however it turned out that simple buy and hold strategy presented far better returns.

bit of both, worried about attempts to make it illegal in future, UK banks already seem to be shutting down anyone who thinks about bitcoins.
