Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Is Nick unhappy about that?

Szabo mentioned a hack on US financial institution JP Morgan which is currently in the news, and which allegedly earned the perpetrators more than $US100 million (£66 million), as a modern example of the dangers centralisation poses. Cryptography — “and in particular Ethereum” — helps solve that.

i'm surprised majority of these hardcore crypto enthusiastic don't know who Nick Szabo is. also majority of these people think this scam alien looking little kid butterin is some kind of math wiz, but the true is he stole someone idea and paid people to code for it.

eth end up a messed and now they're coming up with path1, path2, path3... many paths to fix and make it work, and they don't even know if any path is work at all. unbelievable amateur kid stuff.

What a dumb question... Ideas are not protected by copyrights and what not, so you can't steal it, also if you have an idea and don't have the skills to implement it, why would you be unhappy if someone comes up with a way of implementing it? Imo Szabo is pretty happy that his idea came to life and that he gets all the credit for being the first to think about it and to write on the matter. Don't be jealous instead of others and your life will be easier mamenito
