I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
Yes, I see plenty of alts that have a chance to survive along side of Bitcoin due to their unique features. However, I don’t see any of them ever overtaking Bitcoin or even becoming large enough to become major competition to Bitcoin.

yes no doubt that they have chance to overcome bitcoin. but i think in present time i cannot see a single coin which can compete with bitcoin, as bitcoin is still the number one crypto currency and hope that it will remain as number one in future also. as the popularity of bitcoin is still increasing continuously and hope that this trend will even continue in future also.

Usage wise, other coins has a lot more potential due to their unique features and ease of use for most people however, being unique doesn't mean that it would sell out all of the time. Bitcoin still has an edge when it comes to investor markets simply because more people are utilizing and throwing money at it each and every day.

Bitcoin has name recognition and use in media today which helps it a lot to the general public to know about it when they may not know about the alts which have different features.  Bitcoin is probably the easiest to just jump into so it will stay strong for a while.

We will see a clear winner. It won't be for several years though. I'm still putting all my chips on litecoin.

Cryptocurrency has a lot of options. You can choose where to invest but it depends on what platforn you want. Bitcoint cant be replaced as it is the father of all cryptos. And also alternate coins have good platforms like bitcoin when it is still on its early stage, so lets give a try to alternate coins like we have do to bitcoin.

I think that bitcoin can be harm only by coin who offer more than it. In other words are better than him. The specialist talk that ethereum is one of those. And the fact is that ethereum is gaining more and more visibility and usage. I think that only such kind of coins can put in risk the credibility and usage of bitcoin. Not the other cases.

The numbers don't lie. You only have to look in terms of market cap and transaction volumes. Alts are definitely catching up to Bitcoin, and in many cases are far nicer to use.

Yes ETH can give tough competition to bitcoins in future as the future of ETH seems to be very promising and apart from ETH I believe that even XMR is a coin which can replace bitcoins in future or take over the position of bitcoins.

Bitcoin fees will adjust in the future, as it has been done in the past. I do not think transaction fees are a big problem nowadays, considering people refuse to add SegWit to enable Bitcoin to process more transactions...

There is absolutely no chance any altcoin takes Bitcoin's throne.

I don't really think any altcoin will take over from bitcoin but it will have brothers and sister coins. Altcoin is to bitcoin as bitcoin is to the USD. So altcoin doesn't really need to have a chance with bitcoin. Unless a newer better version of bitcoin with better technology comes out. Its mostly up to the technology behind the coin and not the coin itself.

I don't see any of them replacing bitcoin anytime soon but if bitcoin don't scale up then one of these could develop into a viable alternative. Right now many people see alts more as a way to earn profits or something to dump their money into when bitcoin prices are low. Granted many of those alts out there are just made for pumping - purely for making a profit. Still there are a few that do have good features and considering how fast this field could change there could be more better alts coming.

I believe that all altcoins have chances against Bitcoin but the question here is, are they taking these chances seriously?  Bitcoin might be the first mover but there are lots of altcoin that have advance feature than it is.  So definitely if they just play their cards right, they can have a chance to compete against Bitcoin and probably can even surpass Bitcoin.

The increased transaction fees are a real problem if you are sending coins quite often and if you are trading and gambling you will be sending coins throughout the day and the fees you are shelling out now are really huge if you are combining everything,so it needs to be rectified as soon as possible .It is not the common people who are refusing to enable segwit it is the multi million mining companies that are against it. I am using alt coins for gambling because of the increased transaction fees and the price of bitcoin.

Yeah in the next few years we can know who will survive. Of course I will obviously more enduring choosing bitcoin. Periodically altcoin will die and be replaced with new altcoin, that's the cycle

I think litecoin loses prestige with ETH and other new coins. But litecoin still lives and competes. But I'm a bit hesitant with litecoin.

Bitcoin will always Number 1 unless bitcoin disappears from the crypto currency world some alts might replace bitcoin or if the stagnant bitcoin scaling problem has still not been resolve then maybe altcoins has a chance.
But bitcoin recently has been making good progress in some countries pike japan and soon india might accept it.

Yes, And base on my observation the other alt coins are depending in the bitcoin price when they are pumping and dumping for example, If the bitcoin is pumped the alts are going to dump and if the bitcoin is dumped the alts will pump so I think no one can surpass the price of the bitcoin because the bitcoin is to no. 1 cryptocurrency.

I don't think that those two will have chance against bitcoin. It's clear that bitcoin has a bigger value with it's market cap and ETH and LTC is very far from it so I don't think that it is going to be a good chance for those alt coins because bitcoin will always be on the top. I will remain with bitcoin as the price keeps on climbing.

I will certainly stay with bitcoin for sure, and just like you said the price is getting a little bit what some is expecting and that is going up, but some Altcoins was fighting decently but they are more far back behind bitcoin, but still there are many investors keeps on investing to these Alts because of a certain changes in some things they are doing. well we just need to take a look out on some things other that bitcoin once in a while!
