I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
It's hard to guess which is altcoins havea high chance against bitcoin today. but for now? I think no one can bitcoin for now. If the devs didn't resolve the issues in bitcoin like slow confirmation and high miners fee, litecoin and ethereum or a new altcoin can surpass bitcoin someday.

Bitcoin is the strongest and most reliable crypto currency. I think some altcoins do have chances to reach the level bitcoin currently has, but not a lot. There are some that could be a pretty interesting alternative out there. Altcoins will never reach the same popularity of bitcoin.

There are a lot of powerful altcoins, and it can compete with bitcoin, however, bitcoin is the leading currency, so it is always preferred by the people

I would not fight her if there were no errors in her bitcoin. Is it true bitcoin there is a mistake ? There are some things that needs to be fixed with bitcoin regarding with the blocks but as of now, the confirmation works well for me. And what do you mean there's a mistake in bitcoin? How long have you been using bitcoin? There's no mistake in bitcoin, maybe that news that you have read or heard are just made by those people that are spreading FUDS. Don't believe on them because it's proven that bitcoin will be the best and no alt coin can have against it.

Altcoins can only theoretically compete with Bitcoin. If you look at the top 5 altcoins, then it's clear that beside them functioning as speculative investment option, they don't serve a real purpose. No matter how many featues they have (which I consider to be gimmicks since they don't enjoy any real world usage), the far majority of the people just want a tool that allows them to transact with others, and allows them to use it as an investment option. Bitcoin does exactly that. Perhaps not in the best possible way, but it gets the job done.

Frankly, yes and no. There is several field of things, and not all can be considered as a sole one.
-Micropayments : to me, this is where the altcoins have the most chance. I perfectly see possible that some day in some games, even mainstream ones, people can earn game-created crypto-currency. However I do not see why the game would use a crypto-currency and not a regular screen token, but this is another story.
-Store of value : there I see no chance for the other crypto-currencies. Bitcoin is way more stable than any other altcoin, and which their weak distribution, I see to this day no altcoin able to be a threat to this Bitcoin function.
-Internationial wires : there is a chance here for altcoins. If I were a shop, or something needing to be paid, personally I would see no problem being paid in Ether or in Litecoins. But this is probably because I am rather altcoin-friendly. I am not sure this is the case for most people.
So altcoins have a chance, but we need many if. There is also some interesting cases like Ethereum which is the only one to offer some innovative service. I do not mention this field of things because to me this is the only one, and we are talking about the altoins in general.

Just my honest opinion, instead of competing with each other, these altcoins should make the crypto world more interesting that could attract people's attention.

There are two scenarios where the alts can over take Bitcoin.
1. As the number of users increase, and as the number of transactions rise, the time required conformation gets greater and greater (provided that the 1MB blocksize remains unchanged). So the users will be forced to depend upon some other crypto-currency.
2. A well known investor throwing his weight behind some of the alts, such as Litecoin and Ethereum. Imagine what will happen if Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, or Mark Zuckerberg decides to support an alt. Or imagine a scenario in which sites such as Ebay, Amazon and Facebook accepts any of the alts.

I think 50/50 because bitcoin today is the number 1 digital currency or money in our world. Many peopla are using and and it is very helpful to them. Many businesses are accepting bitcoin today because they see bitcoin has a lot of advantages in our world today. Although bitcoin's price isn't stable yet you only need some chances or wait for the right time. Other Alts are getting stronger too but we all know that bitcoin is the best.

bitcoin is now a big load, and comparing to altcoins they are very violent and anyone can be rick or probably can loose all of his balance while trading these altcoins. altcoins offers a possibility to double our money in a very short time due to its high risk but bitcoin neither can double or half the price in just one day but alts can. so bitcoin is always at the safest and traders always go for violent markets

Ethereum is the only real altcoin with any potential to compete with Bitcoin, and even then it's starting to drag behind Bitcoin as BTC starts to take off. The only time anyone was really worried or considering Bitcoin being beaten by ETH was back when BTC was under $1k, now it's almost entirely out of reach. Alts are great for pumps n dumps, but not a whole lot else. They're a very selective bunch, and can make money, but likely won't all that often.
Ethereum or ETH was really the only competitor for bitcoin but I don't want to include any name because all Altcoins was unique in their own way and we might never know the true potential of each Alts, but right now they are far behind the value of Bitcoin so we might never know.
Me either, I don't want to try other alt coins for being my main carriage of my fund. I'm going to use alt coins for trading but bitcoin will always be my main crypto currency. Those alt coins that are following bitcoin's path are good but still they will don't have any chance against bitcoin, we know about it bitcoin is the number 1.
There is no wrong thing about Alts unless they are scam, because there are these coins that when you provide investment to them they would pull back the coins then say goodbye to your investments, and yes that is why it is a pretty good thing that your main would be bitcoin instead of other crypto.

Let's concentrate on the major alts, such as Ether, Litecoin, Ripple, and Dash. For all these currencies, the major trading pair is against the BTC. For example, the volume of LTC/BTC trade is much more than that of the LTC/USD trade. This itself proves that these alts are surviving just because of Bitcoin. If Bitcoin doesn't exist, then these alts will also die.

The reason these bitcoin users were trading altcoins is not for the reason of promoting the altcoins but rather they are thinking that if they trade their bitcoins to altcoins they can multiply their bitcoins when the price of altcoin rises. The loyalty of traders still lies on bitcoin and not on the altcoin itself.

The only one that I see who has a chance against bitcoin is litecoin it was the first and only true alt coin since they virtually started at the exact same time together. And with segwit making it transfer faster and cheaper that is what is holding back bitcoins growth now.

Bitcoin will always be the number 1 cryptocurrency. It plays a big role in our society. So I think bitcoin and altcoins have a better future if they work together. I think that's not gonna work if the owner of that Altcoin want to just use bitcoin to increase the value of his alt but if working together thing might work if they coexist with the movement of Bitcoin, but I don't really think any alt would do just that, well it is sometimes better if you will have a competition with other coins that to yourself alone!
