Could LTC conceivably go to $1000.00 if segwit were to activate in 2 weeks, and I mean in a fairly short period of time.
If not $1000.00, what could LTC go to???
Would love to hear from you guys/gals

Lol never in 30 years. Currently price of litecoin is just 1% of the amount you predicting. Maybe 100$ would be a better target but 1000$ is too much. Currently 50 million ltc is circulating and max supply is 84 million so even if there is any chance for it to reach 1k sufficient supply wouldn't be left.

$100 is difficult value for litecoin, but ltc is no need segwit in my opinion, the hype of segwit just give a short fomo for ltc itself. I think your speculation looks non sense. |

I also can't see LTC going to 1k but I can see it at least going to $100 in the near future but for a low end estimate if segwit were to activate in 2 weeks I think we could see $50 at least. I have been holding what I have left waiting for the price to rise and I am hoping to see at least $50 and if it gets to $100 it would be even better for us holding LTC.

Lol I think $50 would be possible but $1,000 is a stretch. Even if something is that good it won't bring a coin's value to 100x of its current value overnight. I wish though, I wish. |

SegWit adoption on LTC is not for block size increase. It will allow coders to add many other features to LTC. Maybe $100.00 in the short term, may not happen, but it's not inconceivable for LTC to get there. |

"Never" is a long time. Could litecoin go to $1000 within a year? Probably not, but crazier, stupider, more unpredictable things have happened in the world of crypto. So yeah, never say never. Imagine asking people in 2009 if bitcoin would ever be at $1300. They might have laughed you out of the nerd fraternity, but here we are in 2017 and we hit that mark. Litecoin definitely has some advantages over bitcoin, so you just never know.

Agreed, I think that segwit can add value proposition to ltc because of the feature sets that coders can implement if segwit were to be implemented. |

Well it seems most of on here can agree that LTC is likely to reach $50 to $100 in the near future but is a long way off the 1k price range. Even at $50 I think it's a great price for a coin that looked dead for a while but has now been brought back to life thanks to the segwit news.

Litecoin is better than bitcoin. Low fees, fast transaction. Why mess with clunky old bitcoin? To send bitcoin I change it into litecoin first and send that.

No, of course Litecoin could not go to 1000$, especially one LTC is only worth 10$ now. You are playing with the news, and will most of the time get fooled by the whales. Huh, why SegWit would make Litecoin suddenly worth one hundred times its current value ? There is no reason, and even if a whale and an association of fools could create a sympathic pump, it will simply never but never go to 1000$.

LTC highest value was 50 dollars during the pump in 2013. There are many altcoins now compared to 4 years ago. It would be a miracle if LTC can go above 20 dollars as the supply of coin is increasing and demand is lower than the supply. LTC is rising now because of SegWit. After that, its price will drop below 10 dollars again.

I think that talking about the supply is no longer very revelant nowadays, at least for big established crypto-currencies. Take Ethereum for exemple : its supply is infinite, growing nicely each day, but yet it is the most valuable crypto-currency out there. And I definitely think Litecoin has a great potential, not to reach 1000$ of course, but maybe to reach 15$ in a long-term point of view. |
