I believe that the GTX 1080 Ti can bring in $5/day mining MonaCoin right now. That's a $700 GPU though, so the initial cost alone is offputting to many.

In regards to my comment earlier about 33% being fair that was referring to 33% of profits (just to be clear).  Cheers
I am working with 470s sure that card can't make $5/day , and yes i am charging 33% of profits , the 1080ti isn't that avarege card that we can calculate upon it's profits , to be more accurate each card is making $2/day and i am charging 1/3rd of that and yes ppl are good with that , something like10% or so will not turn me any profits and will be working for them for free.

ok but it's still like paying very high electricity, beacuse if my gpu make $2 and you get 33% this is $120 a month on a single rig, which is like paying 0.16 cent electricity for 6 gpu rig that consume 1000 watt, do the math yourself, if i have 0.1 cent electricity it's better to remain at my home mining, your proposal it's only good for those with very high electricity, because if i want hosting i would only pay 5 cent(10% to you not 30%), which is the point for hosting for me, having very cheap electricity, but your rate kill this and make it useless to host in your facility

My situation here is much like the OP situation , which is no one is helping he will be running those rigs 24/7 , it's diffrenet than yours , let's say i have a local client like you i   will charge him 10% only and you can take care of your own rig i am just renting you POWER, what i found myself dealing with differ than that , my client are much like making a deposit in a bank for interest , i have some clients didn't even see thier hardware

i kinda presented this idea to one of my buddies but he's getting pissy

he said the forum is bullshit lol and that if we combine our rigs wed get a higher hash rate and our investment would come back sooner....mind you this is coming from someone who has never built a rig...

im just not sure if id make my money back sooner if i went into and investment farm with him because of a higher hash rate

No, combining all your rigs would have no change on your ROI. If you build 1 rig the full RIO might be 3 months. If you build 10 rigs the RIO is still going to be 3 months if everything stays the same. Sure, you have higher hashrate overall, but total investment $$ is higher as well. 1 + 1 does not equal 3 (at least in mining terms).

At this point I would already say forget it to your friend.. This early on in the game and he's already saying he knows it all. That's bad news. Do your own thing, maybe offer advice or a flat fee to build/setup.

yeah im taking your advice.... im just going to do my own thing.... i found a cheap warehouse space near my house with high voltage and my old man is giving me a loan for 20k....gonna just put my rigs in that warehouse and pray to baby jesus

The OP's friends don't know anything about mining and he would be doing all the work, not just providing a spot with electric for them. If someone is doing 100% of the work they certainly deserve 33% of the profit.
