SHA-256 doesn't solve the "ASIC issue". I can't say it's really an issue. We will see how things turn out.

Personally I am waiting for something new, which at least has something against SHA256 ASICs (scrypt maybe, but not necessarily) and 51% attack (PoS looks good for now).

Looks like all SHA256 coins (except Bitcoin) pretty much have come to a deadend. Buying ASICs just to mine is just unacceptable.

why not TRC, NVC, BTE, FC, or IXC for that matter. They are in the same league with PPC, clone coins with no use.

Nope PPC is entirely different tech

actually NVC is PoS too. basically PPC on scrypt
