Seems the retards at McAfee have something against bitcoin mining.  Last few weeks McAfee has been deleting minerd.exe and cgminer.exe, saying they're "Artemis Trojan".  Useless b***ards.  Roll Eyes

Had to put the various exes in the whitelists in ePO.  Waste of my time.  Roll Eyes

Rant over. Smiley

You should send a bug report to the author of cgminer, then they can contact McAfee and tell them to stop fracking around! Smiley

The real answer is to get rid of mcafee. It is one of the most intrusive, and least effective, antiviruses available on the market.

i beg to differ, i think norton home edition is the worst. it was normal for the computer to error and bluescreen after it being uninstalled.

but yeah it probably thinks your computer is a victim of a bot net and i know there are some that use computers to mine so it would make sense even-though it has an benevolent use on your machine.

I've noticed Malwarebytes has started flaggin CGMiner as well. Which is a shame, as I actually liked that program too.

I can't help myself...

Did you hear the creator of McAfee is wanted for murder? I heard the trial will last around 30 days.
