Just curious.

Without dummy plug we can still run stuff. But BIOS must be changed so that default graphic is the motherboard graphic. Also watttool and msi afterburner won't be able to interact with the card.

That being said, is it true? Why? And anyone can solve that?

I think using dummy plug is fine. But in case things go wrong with the card due to mod bios or stuff, it's easier to deal with the rig if main display is motherboard.

You can move it yourself, look underneath the bottom post (presumably this one).

It doesn't have anything to do with the motherboard, it has to do with the cards.

If you're running RX 480s, you'll need a dummy plug or monitor plugged in for them to be fully recognized. If you're running older cards, a dummy plug or monitor is not required.

What's magical is I need only one dummy plug on one of the card and all the cards are fully recoqnized. Can anyone explains why?

The workaround to not using dummy plugs is to run linux. Its only a windows thing.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.
