We just have to be patient. We got this update 10 days ago: We are ramping up and the shipping of batch two has indeed begun, albeit not up to speed, we expect this situation to improve in a week or so once the equipment finish installing and the new, additional crew get use to the process. They also stated this previously: A week before batch #2 is ready to ship, we will make an announcement to those who wish to trade-in their last generation units to sent in their units, once we receive the units a custom order will be made for you to pay the difference depending on what you have trade-in, remember 1 trade-in discount/coupon is allowed per 1 Avalon unit. For clarification the shipping priority is as such:
Sorted from Highest to Lowest.
Developers - e.g. bitcoin core dev and other bitcoin contributor we feel deserve this treatment.
Trade-Ins/Old Customers - your unit will ship soon as we receive the FPGA and you've paid the difference.
Regular Batch #2 Customers - Unfortunately you are not special. We haven't seen any reports of tracking numbers so I suspect only a few units have been shipped to developers and predict shipments to trade-in customers will begin any moment. Hopefully we'll see a tracking number in the wild before the end of this week so we know their April 15th announcement was legit. The rest will hopefully see their units start to ship early next month IMO. While they are currently 7 weeks late, I say better late than never! |

It's a reference to an email sent out by Avalon on March 1st 2013, regarding the shipping status of Batch 1 The latest email (in case you missed it) was sent out by Avalon on April 15th 2013 and can be seen below.  In case the imgur link does not work you can find it here http://imgur.com/p2e0IqTWhat's unfortunate is that if trade-ins are being given priority, and they JUST got the notification to ship on April 15th, it means we are nowhere close to the actual shipping date since trade ins have to arrive in China first. |

I agree, I'd like an update. We know they are not shipping because they haven't notified any of us who did trade-ins of how much we owe them in difference for our Avalons. Additionally, some of us, like myself have threads where we are keeping people notified of any changes in status.
My Icaruses made it there a week ago on Friday and were signed for. I have a feeling they are close and look forward to hearing from them.

I had a similar concern, and apparently misunderstood it, they mentioned in a post that the shipment will go in parallel, when trade-ins arrive they'll just have higher priority next to the others... My opinion is there are only less than 4 days left in April. If Avalon team cannot ship the batch #2 within April, they should update the status to all the investors. It is basic rule of business.
Let's see whether there will be an update within April.

If you have not noticed, avalon, once they have your money... They do what they want. You are not a customer. You are a greedy whining miner. When they get around to it... You will get your stuff. Someday. In the future. When they feel like it.
Last i checked some batch 1 customers are still waiting. Go figure.

Yes I believe reading somewhere us miners are like dogs to them. IE they will give us their scraps when they are done with their share. This happens a lot though when there is a high demmand for something and little to no competition.

Although we agreed the "The no bullshit, no fine print terms of sale" before we ordered, we did not agree to delay the shipment again and again. Now we just want a simple official reply on whether you can ship within April or not.

what they will do if they wish to "ship in april" is to send out a tiny handful of units to a couple of people. that counts for shipping in april. this gets everyone excited but in reality the majority will be shipped weeks later if things go well. |

The roi of a batch 2/3 Avalon will be 75btc. If they make us earn less than that, they have a problem with tons of angry customers.
If they make us earn more than that, that will be less revenue for them - unacceptable.
As simple as that.
We don't need math and organofcorti for this.
