Bitfinex is stating that taiwanese banks are blocking all incoming fiat deposits to bitfinex and are advising people not to deposit fiat for the time being.
Any thoughts on that?

This is not a good news to the bitcoin community because bitfinex is one of the most reputable bitcoin exchange, bank problem with this type of company can ruin the business entirely because it might affect the withdrawal process also, just as they suggested it is better to stay away until they resolved with them or they change their financial institutions.

This is April 17th announcement

April 17, 2017
This announcement is further to our announcement about withdrawal delays on April 13, 2017.

Beginning April 18, 2017, all incoming wires to Bitfinex will be blocked and refused by our Taiwan banks. This applies to all fiat currencies at the present time. Accordingly, we ask customers to avoid sending incoming wires to us until further notice, effective immediately.

We continue to work on alternative solutions for customers that wish to either deposit or withdraw in fiat, and are making progress in this regard. We will continue to update our customers as and when we have more information to share.

We're dedicated to bringing you the best platform possible. If we made any mistakes or if you have any suggestions please get in touch. support@bitfinex.com / @bitfinex

I have read that this all might be set up by an american bank in order to make bitfinex comply to some money laundering rules.
That would mean bitfinex has no money problem, at least non that they created themselves.
Let's see how long this will take, because at some point they will need fresh money.

  It's me!!!
