It's much, much harder than people think...
For example, it takes about 20,000 poker hands to determine a player's level of skill.

In the last 3 months any random Alt Portfolio should have doubled in terms of BTC...
And any random Alt Portfolio should have had 2-3 rockets 10x to 50x.

A ton of alts are up crazy amounts.  I hold a bunch of byteball and recommended it to people and then it's pretty ice has been going up in a vertical line for several days but that's because people are just throwing money at alts right now.
