I can only tell which I am supporting or investing in,
Ripple
Stratis
ZCash
Decred

Apart from these, Eth and LTC may also prove to be good for long term.

as mention Eth already showing big potential to have good value in the long run if you can wait for every development that they are doing possibility to increase the value is not too long, i also looking for ltc and xrp as they are also in some deal with integration with businesses but like everyone said we should review every aspect of which coin we do desire to keep.

i can't believe this thread is posted by a senior member. as for myself, I have held blackcoin for years because I see its long-term value, though I just registered here recently.

The number of altcoins increasing. There are tens of altcoins. All offer their specs. However, The altcoin users will think what the best altcoin to invest or to buy. In trading they can exchange anytime but my question is. What the best altcoin to be kept hoping that the price will sky rocket like bitcoin. When we keep the coin we will gain a lot of profit due to the rising or the price. What do you think and why ?

For you're looking for an altcoin that is profitable in the future you need to check each altcoins available and what they offer, its hard to predict which altcoins are good and bad. Fluctuation is always a part on the cryptocurrency but if you want to invest on something thats worth something. Try Eth if you want a long term investment and if you want to earn short term and bit by bits you can try XRB. Still you need to check every altcoin and keep updated if you want to invest.  Smiley I hope it helps,  Wink

Even though the number of altcoins is increasing, the number of good coins is a constant Cheesy

no it's actually decreasing lol, some good coin are dying because they were not that good, now i see for good coin only ETH, Zcash, lbry, monero, vertcoin maybe, those are the big one, other need to do something if they want to be called good, and the best to keep for me is spreadcoin now, after the swap, 0.01 is possible

To me the best altcoin to be kept is Ethereum. The PoS switch at the end of the year sounds to me like a great investment opportunity.

If you ask me, just invest in the coins you truly believe in. Don't invest in a coin just because somebody tells you to do it

The majority of my crypto investments is in Dash, the main reason for it is because I think Evolution will make it easier for non-nerds to use crypto, and they have constant development.
I also hold a good amount of NAVcoin, because they are working on some nice projects, the names of developers are publicly known, and they also focus on user experience (just like Dash).

The names of developers are well known. Ok that's one of the good reason why I should keep an altcoin. It makes sense, because  well known developers will hold their reputation.

Yeah, lets take Pivx for example. The reason I don't trust this coin is because the founders call themselves "s3v3n h4cks" and "Coin Server", their real names are unknown. This is one of the many things I look at before I invest my money in a cryptocurrency.

I too hold bitcoin as my best bet but if we are talking about altcoins I guess the big bags are still out there doing the big work. Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, hell even Doge, doge has almost infinite amount of coins but still rises in price time to time. I think these are the coins you should focus on instead of finding new coins and hope they will rise in price. That is a riskier way of making Money if at all.

I think if you want to be most sure to not to loose your investment over a longer term, ripple would be the choice. My opinion.
