I bought my first bitcoins successfully. It has been in sending them to an outside wallet that nothing makes sense to me anymore.

I could use some help in reading the information on my transaction id. Any time taken to actually write out a thorough explanation on how to read them would not be wasted. I want to learn so I can solve these things on my own.

I am terribly sorry for never actually posting the transaction ID. And still I have nothing in the receiving account. Here is the transaction id, thanks.

1f305ee9f196fc3f595a0d6ef7365baa74c9ffdc2d914c43ab7f54d312cbcb09

What I know is that it was mined at 840 and that my outside wallet needed 6 confirmations, and to wash them, before I would see them in my balance. Six hours  and 22 confirmations later(I think) my balance is still 0. I checked dozens of times before I sent it and now again that my send to address was correct. The only step I rushed was the one about adding or increasing a miners. I did not even notice it as I clicked on through; could that be an issue? I bought 319 USD worth of bitcoins and sent all of it away, which I noticed pushed my paxful account slightly negative. How about that? If I just gave someone else all that bitcoin I'll live, I can learn. I just want to know some ideas of what could have happened.

Hello !

Can you please find the transaction ID (txid) and post it here ?

It looks like this :
60d7b931778ec318081e4fd4a16282685ac0c40d489efab835983b92300eac0c

We will see where you sent it, and if it is a miner fee issue. Smiley

Hello.
First, I dont think you should be really worried about the money you have sent, if the transaction is confirmed, then the bitcoins have surely arrived at the place there were suppose to be, unless you have made a typo, or pasted the address wrong, then you have probably lost your bitcoins.

If the address was pasted correctly, then it is important if you have sent the money to some website.
If yes, I assume that this issue is their fault, some bug in the system or data leak, the best place to do is just contant the support.

I could use some help in reading the information on my transaction id.

Post your transaction ID here and we can take a look. Without it, we won't be able to tell anything.

Which wallet did you send the coins to? Were they sent to a Desktop wallet or an online wallet? Any extra details you can provide will be helpful.

Which bitcoin address did you attempt to send the coins to?

The TXID you've posted shows 73 confirmations, but it has 16 outputs. If none of those 16 addresses is yours, then either this isn't the correct TXID, or you've entered an incorrect address...

Given that you said you bought ~$319... I'm guessing the address I've highlighted in bold is the one you were trying to send to as that is the only one that is even close to that amount...

If so, those funds are in that address, as they are currently Unspent and the address appears to contain over 2 BTC.  However, I don't know how Hiddenwallet works... It is so hidden, I couldn't even find anything on Google except a link to an onion.cab website which won't let me register.

If this is the first time you've attempted to use this address/wallet and you don't have access to the private keys for the address you attempted to send the coins to, it is quite possible you have been scammed, as that address has 37 transactions dating back to 22nd March 2017...  Huh Undecided

You might want to try using a more well known and trusted wallet/service in the future.

To HCP,

Whether or not you tried to explain that so I would have a much better idea how to read the TXID and find what I am looking for, you did. That was great, thank you. It has been in the back of my mind that I have been scammed, play with fire get burned you know.

Although the address you have highlighted there is the address to my hidden wallet, wallet. As a result of this mess I have already been looking for a more reputable source of wallets, but that one is mine as well. What are private keys?

Any wallet listed here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet is a reputable and secure wallet.

What are private keys?
Private keys are what allow you to spend Bitcoin. Anyone who holds a private key can spend the Bitcoin associated with the address derived from that private key. If you use a web wallet or an exchange wallet, you are not guaranteed to be the only person with access to the private keys for your Bitcoin, the service can get them too. If you do not control the private keys for your addresses, you are not the sole owner of your Bitcoin.

That is the transaction ID right?

Your paxful account is negative probably because you sent all of your balance, and since you haven't accounted for your transaction fees on paxful end so next time you deposit there will be a small amount deducted from your balance to cover for the negative balance.

This is your address, correct? https://blockchain.info/address/18qryZsmSUUQCdg3MyeJkuuVgQZXR5amMg

I don't see any problems with the transaction... It has confirmations on it as well.

Export your private key to blockchain.info, and see what happens. It should come up with the correct balance for you to spend.

The one guy was right, I think. I was scammed, for sure. I'll live and learn, but to be honest I feel like crying. Not for anyones' pity, I'm just having one of those months. My birthday is on Thursday so April is typically my favorite, but this was one thing too much. I was so careful to not slip up on anything else, I forgot to make sure the wallet was legit. My stupid move but the 350 I paid for that BTC was everything I had until I get paid again at the end of this month. I had always wanted to try trading currency but could not afford it and figured bitcoin was still a good place to start. I like it. Thank you all for your help and not just roasting me.

So, just to clarify, that is the first time you have attempted to send any bitcoins to your BTC address?

If that is correct, then chances are that, unfortunately, you did just send $315 worth of BTC to a scammer Sad

I also found this article that would indicate that hidden wallet is indeed a scam.

If you want a wallet for you desktop/laptop... I would suggest getting Electrum (lightweight, doesn't download the whole blockchain)... or Bitcoin Core (Full bitcoin client, needs 120gigs+).... If you want a wallet for you mobile, then investigate Mycelium, Breadwallet and Electrum... they all have Android and iOS versions I think...

If you are absolutely set on using a web wallet (which is honestly, a REALLY bad idea)... then use a big name service like coinsbank or blockchain.info or Xapo or something... But I would really recommend you stay away from web wallets... like someone mentioned above, if you don't control the private keys to your bitcoin addresses, you DON'T actually own your bitcoins... someone else is looking after them for you.

If this were really your first time sending it you must seek first guidance before actions, Seriously if you are really learning from your own then why not ask questions to those who knew it most, asking is also part of research where you seek answers to learn. Maybe your doing trial and error or something but if the transaction is confirmed and the wallet address you provided is the right one then no need to worry about it. You see you didn't ask any guidance at first and in the end you still ask questions what happened.
