As far as i know when the news come up lbc price always dumped.no matter what, I always following this project from the beginning,i am not fudding or whatever it called. I just want to remind you,do not put your hope to high because when you fail to reach it the pain will killing you. PS: it's only for shortterm trader,if you're longterm i believe it will be one of the best crypto I agree, however if they announce exactly when the beta is released, the price usually rises by a lot (like it did +50% just for that live event), and on a event it's usually dump as you said Let the price drop. It'll benefit us who see true value in lbry and not just short term speculation. Low price means you can buy and mine more. This is good! |

There is a competitor who ranks higher in terms of Marketcap.
Their PR is much better, i mean look at their team, connections, website,... they are marketing while LBRY is only developing a product, but who knows since it's pointless to market without a product.
LBRY is much farther ahead in terms of development.
We will see how this unveils. I sold majority of my holdings at the last peak, but i still hold few thousands worth of LBC and hoping for the best - long term.
If they make videos embeddable, and the files to be sold on websites, they won and this would be a marketcap of 1B within years as people would launch their own products.

they have better algorithm (dPoS versus LBRYs PoW), so they barely have any inflation, while lbry has high inflation.
However Decents launch was probably one of the worst in the crypto space. Also their product is very minimal. I would say LBRY is 1-2years ahead in the terms of development.
LBRY is only developing though, 0 interest in creating value for the holders of LBC and i kinda hate this, if they were doing any marketing the marketcap would probably be 100-200M$ already.
But if LBRY is ahead by a lot in terms of development, they will win regardless... So it's a tough choice, but i guess the best would be to own a bit of both. I only have LBRY though.
There is also Florincoin with project Alexandria which is similar.

Lbry has a usable app out now, still in beta but you can see the progress and functionality. Coin is still undervalued.

I noticed recently that they are not giving away 2 LBRY credits anymore. Maybe because the price has a value right now compare before. The last time I received the free credit was about a month ago.
