Klopp is returning to football, but not as a coach but as a global leader in the Red Bull system. He will work with coaches and do consulting work for teams such as Leipzig, Salzburg, New York, Bragantino, Omiya Ardija, and he will start working on January 1, 2025. I suspect that money played a big role in this decision. After that, he received a lot of criticism, and explained that as he said before, he does not want to return to football as a coach, but he still loves football and wants to be involved in the development of football.
The reasons why Jurgen Klopp decided to abandon his coaching career and focus on other things is best known to him so his decision should be respected instead of receiving criticisms, or would he remain a coach forever? being a global head of soccer to the teams mentioned above is not a bad decision in my own opinion, the most important thing is that he is still doing something related to football which shows how deep his love is for football. After all, apart of gaining recognition in football, it is also good that one earns a good amount of salary in any aspect of football they want to engage in. Besides Jurgen Klopp is quite advance in age because he is 57 years old now so he deserves to rest and not enter into any coaching job that will give him so much stress again.
Ultimately it is his decision and his decision only, but when you think about his wording when he left Liverpool, how thankful he is for everything (he emphasized that nonstop). He said that money can't get him to come back very soon and I think that is not true. RB Leipzig is paying him a pretty juicy salary for working behind the scenes and his life will probably stay very relaxed. He can do whatever he wants of course, but I can see why some of the people who are big fans of him are now a bit irritated to say the least.
Th question I ask if whether there is anyone who would have refused such an offer among those who now criticize him for taking on that job. I doubt that the number of people who would have said no to RB Leipzig is very big.
It could as well be an agenda right? Nothing speaks against working in the rather administrative fear and then it four or six years from now, he takes on the German national coach position and then calls it a day. But I am quite sure that Leipzig was serious about him and once there is an offer that again brings you tens of millions, hardly anyone would say no.
