Messi’s is yet to drop any hint about his future in regards to retirement but he has said that at the end of the current season he will assess his body and see how fit and well is is to go on then make his decision. I have to admit that he will definitely be missed when he finally decides to retire.

He does have enough him to keep playing at MLS, I do not think that if he retires anytime soon, it would be for any body or health reasons, it would be because he wants to. After all, he is still good enough to score and win games all by himself at MLS levels. Maybe he wouldn't be amazing at Barcelona at this age, but he is well beyond anyone at MLS.

To be fair, he is such a magical player that if he decided to play until 50, he would still be good enough for MLS, not a superstar at that age of course, but still would be a starting eleven quality player if he was there.

So anytime he retires, it wouldn't be because his body doesn't handle it anymore, it would be because he is just not interested in it at all.

Yeah, obviously, he is still quite good, although he is 38 years old but his gameplay is still better than many top players. They were actually link of him going back home to leading his country and it would have been a great reunion but it is certainly not feasible at the moment because Portugal already has a manager that they trust a lot and feel he can deliver the best to them.
