Among all the positions which Manchester United are suppose to improve seriously, they choose to sign a new goalkeeper, I know Manchester United needs a new goalkeeper, but even if Manchester United sign the best goalkeeper, and their defense is weak, then the goalkeeper will still flop. Manchester United defense is weak, firstly they should look for a way to improve their defense, if they can improve their defense, most of the balls that are getting to the goalkeeper right now will be stopped by the defenders, so they should just focus on building their defense first, because that’s going to be better than focusing on goalkeeper.

Manchester United complained about Onana, now Onana is no longer at Manchester United, and their current goalkeeper is conceding unnecessarily also, so their is no difference between Onana and their current goalkeeper, then we should know that United main problem is not the goalkeeper

I think Manchester United currently have quality defenders, and the reason they concede goals so easily may be the system implemented by Ruben Amorim. Everyone knows that Ruben Amorim relies heavily on a three back system with a 3-4-3 formation, which so far doesn’t seem very effective in helping Manchester United perform consistently. Perhaps if Ruben Amorim changes his system, they could minimize the number of goals conceded going forward.

Since Onana left, the situation hasn’t changed, so it’s clear the problem doesn’t lie with the goalkeeper alone. At some point Ruben Amorim might realize this, but he seems too stubborn to change his principles. I think without real changes, sooner or later Ruben Amorim will end up being sacked. A coach has to be dynamic. If you are observant too, you will notice that even Pep has had to adjust his team strategy to fit in some players just so they can perform. That is how a manager should be, not too rigid, because things can change. Amorim's refusal to be dynamic will likely get him sacked before the end of the season if care is not taking. Trying to make use of the same strategy always may not work so well in the premier league as it did in the Portuguese league with Sporting. Manchester United have the players that can compete, the coach just has to make things click.

You can't be so sure about that, though. They can buy him after a couple of years if they want, though they will have to spend a little more, but the player will miss out on that attractive bonus that they usually give to those folk who move out on free transfers.

I think what Xabi is doing at Real Madrid currently is making them a little comfortable with the defensive options they have so far, so there is no rush to buy a new center back.

Simeone says this after a short time Alvarez's name has started to be called with Barcelona. They say he is wanted by them next summer. I'm not sure about Alvarez to stay as long as Atletico Madrid go on inconsistently because of Simeone.

They watched him Join their rivals and where never interested until now. Alvarez is a crucial player for Diego Simeone, so I don't think it would be an easy task for Barce. And if Atletico madrid feels that they might eventually lose him to Barce at some point, then they might have to sell him quickly because City didn't take it easy on them on his(Alverez) fees. But at this point, Alverez is still a very crucial player, so they need to secure him.

Agree. Real Madrid still can sign Saliba although Saliba has signed a new contract with Arsenal. As long as Saliba is still interested in joining Real Madrid, there will always a chance for Saliba to move to Real Madrid. However, it is true that Real Madrid probably pays bigger amount of money. But I'm sure that the amount of money isn't a really big deal for Real Madrid as long as it is still reasonable.

We're still a few months away from winter, but MU seems quite active. They seem have not yet feel satisfied with their current goalie line-up. They're being rumored putting Maignan as one of candidate to be signed when he leaves for free in summer. I saw many say that he's bad, terrible, and old goalie. However, i see it positive as long as they can get him for free.
Yeah i meant for free without using the money in their pocket, it's still worthy. Although, he's 30 years old, but worthy enough with his experience. I'd prefer to see them sign him for free instead of gambling with non proven, pricey goalie.

Free or not I don't think getting a new goalkeeper will solve the problem that UTD are facing currently instead it will make any new goalkeeper or player worse and you'd see the fans blaming the newly introduced player or goalkeeper just like they did with Andre Onana. Players should be afraid to join UTD because of how terrible they make good players look and now the Ac Milan goalkeeper Maignan, to Manchester United... I think is not a good idea, they should build the team with the sets of players they have first before getting new players or goalkeeper.

They also have a fairly flexible approach to the center-back position. If you look at their performance at the start of this season, it seems that the problem has been resolved and indeed Xabi Alonso knows better what the team needs and also last season their problem was in the defense line and Xabi Alonso came to solve the problem but overall I think we can't give any assessment if Xabi Alonso has not proven the consistency of the Real Madrid team's performance.

It cannot be denied that Madrid has a particular interest in Saliba, but when that cannot be forced, they will not be a problem because from the start they have applied the same process as for other players, where there are several options for that, and now Saliba has extended his contract at Arsenal, so if Madrid still needs a defender, they will just have to find a suitable alternative later.

However, given the current situation, it seems that a defender is not urgently needed at this time. There are still some issues that need to be addressed, including the age of the players and their susceptibility to injuries. However, forcing the issue with a player who clearly cannot be forced is not ideal, especially since their young players and some of those returning from long-term injuries, like Militao, are still improving.

As for Saliba, whether this decision is good or not, I think we just need to see his performance on the field and how Arsenal treats him. As long as things remain positive, it means the decision was the right one for him.

I think you are actually right about what you said here in your last paragraph, he has to prove himself all over again that he still got the fire burning inside of him, because right now, many people feels like his best days are behind him including me, because after leaving Roma, he went to the Turkish super league with fernabache, I initially thought that his team would be undisputed there but he was sacked with him not winning any trophy if am not mistaken, so  this chance at benfica is like a short to prove himself that he has not lose his special touch, what I just feels like he needs is time to implement his playing system and idea in the minds of his playing, but while trying to implement his playing system into the team, he knows that he has to deliver the desired result while at it, if not he might be sacked trying to get the team back on track.

But I would be surprised if he doesn’t rethink his options if Real Madrid eventually comes knocking.  I don't think Real Madrid done did that at the moment,  because who wouldn't want a move to Real Madrid?! Must be crazy or something. Hopefully,  he keeps his head cool and avoid unnecessary pressure and distraction from the internet.  He should be amongst the top 5 best defenders in the Premier League Competition truthfully.

That his decision for now and there may have been something to have influenced his decision for extension of contract with Arsenal instead of moving to Real Madrid one of the most decorated club in europe. I'm surprised that he chooses to stay it might be he feels to give it more time with Arsenal that he can win a major trophy with them before that 2030.

We have players that signed contract extension with their club and later had a change of mind in the middle when suitors increased their pressure with attractive offers. I'll keep tab on him contingent upon a change of mind.

I think he's long since lost his reputation as a coach who can achieve success with any team. Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly, he used to be able to win titles with strong teams, but later he started getting invited to weaker teams, yet they still expected him to achieve the same success, which is clearly very difficult. He went to Fenerbahce because he didn't have any better offers, and Benfica could be his chance to restore his reputation, but Benfica hasn't impressed yet, and he already drew his last game. Benfica needs victories, and Mourinho doesn't have time for failure.

I still think Manchester United's defense is weak in some matches. I will admit that their defense has improved from before, but their performance in certain positions needs to be stabilized. Losing three consecutive matches and winning the fourth match by a large margin will not improve the points table much, so Manchester United needs to focus more on consistent performance. According to Manchester United's current market value, they should perform much better than this, but they are not able to do so, while teams with a market value much lower than them are performing much better. I will consider Manchester United successful if they can finish the season in fifth, sixth and seventh positions in the Premier League points table this season.

Is that true? What kind of vision did they share with him? Really hard to believe someone rejects a move to a club like Real Madrid because of a vision, while the performance on the pitch is clearly bad. I guess that's what having a long history of success does for you.

It's not like moving to Real Madrid means they only chase money and fame, either. They may be a fan of the club when they're young, too. Anyway, that's their life. If they're happy then that's probably good for them.

The competition of who will be in the first eleven is a big challenge to players who need more time to be on the field. In Real Madrid, there are enough quality players that can bench you anytime that you are not performing as expected. It's not all about the money but having the zeal and passion for a certain club can also make any player reject Madrid's offer. I don't think that Yoro rejected Madrid because he believed in United, United offer a higher pay than Madrid.

It's his decision to make and I will not call it good or bad decision. Although I think.he believe that's Arsenal have a good team and are destined to winning major trophies very soon and he wants to be part of the story which I think is a very good one for him. He will not just be a player winning trophy at Arsenal, but he is going to be a major player on the journey to the trophy,  so I think that's might be one of the reasons he chose to sign a new contract with Arsenal.  It might also be that he is just loyal to the team and feels he just want to stay at Arsenal for now.
