Their salary aren't a problem, they might accept to lower their salary if Barcelona want them, but the problem is they're not good anymore and it's time for Barcelona for looking a better player.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, even if this rumor were true. after all, Sergi Roberto can no longer follow Barcelona's developments and games. Maybe that is true considering that there are so many players from Barcelona who are willing to accept salary cuts, but another reason to provide a platform for other young players is definitely also a consideration that Barcelona must make. I think instead of joining a Saudi league team, it looks like Marcos Alonso and Sergi Roberto will go to MLS considering that their two previous colleagues, namely Jordi Alba and Sergio Bosquest, also chose Inter Miami as a place to enjoy their life. There will be no teams who will be interesting to sign those players. Their contracts were very close to end and i see no reason for other team to pursuit them all. The other team just need to wait a bit longer to get them all for free.
Barcelona is also decreasing its salary cap by losing those two. Barcelona is also feeling paying them all with huge salary is also adding more burden to the salary cap. That's also one of main reason why barcelona was not interesting to extend their contracts.
It's the time for saudi pro league to recruit them all with cheap price or free. I think that those guys will far better to go to the saudi pro league club instead of stay even longer in the club.
Barcelona needs to get more money to recruit the new players again. This is the main problem faces by barcelona at this moment caused by the ability to recruit the new player being limited due to the lack of money owned by the club.

Actually in terms of age they are still not too old but indeed Barcelona will do this as a form of elimination as well as improving their financial condition which is still not showing signs of stability so that when some players whose contacts begin to run out and contributions to Barcelona are minimal because they lose in the competition then surely they will be discarded to minimise the salaries of the players as well as the stability of their cash balance which is still under FFP supervision.

Although I understand that this is the way that has to be considered officially, I am quite sure that any necessary negotiations have been taking place for a long time and I wouldn't be shocked if they are finalized already. Nobody would ever find out or be informed about it. But unless PSG is approaching Mbappe with an offer that has never been seen before, not even in Saudi Arabia, Mbappe will go to Real Madrid next season.
