It's a player's decision if he wants to stay in a club or leave, also it depends on his contract signed with the team as well as the teams decision to either keep him or let him go. Do you still remember how was Benzema journey in Real Madrid, he joined Real Madrid since 2009 but he able to show his performance in 2019. I agree with you that it is not a bad thing for Barcelona but it is a real strength when a club lacks finances but can still be in the top 3 that is a big achievement and just imagine without good finances Barca is able to get the top 3 then what if Barca having good finances, wouldn't Barcelona be stronger if they could bring in the players they wanted.
