He’s already 30 years old. His physical condition has declined after a long-term injury. Rodri is a good player and has played a key role in Manchester City’s success, but Real Madrid would be wasting money if they’re serious about signing him. At best, Real Madrid could only count on Rodri for two seasons if his health issues don’t flare up again.

If they need a midfielder with the same role as Rodri, Real Madrid could look for another player who is relatively younger than Rodri. I don’t think that would be hard to find.
Rodri should consider renewing his contract at Manchester City or move to a club where their constant injuries will be tolerated. Real Madrid's recruitment strategy now mostly targets young players or older players who are free agents. With his injury-prone nature and reduction in his performance, moving to the Saudi Professional League or the US Major League Soccer might be a good option for Rodri. This is because I don't know if any top-class club can afford his £180,000 per week wage based on his age and current form.
Extending his contract with Manchester City is the right choice, given what I believe would be the obstacle if Real Madrid were willing to spend the money to bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu.

By extending his contract with Manchester City, Rodri will be secure and will remain Pep’s first choice as long as Pep remains Manchester City’s manager. Pep isn’t the type of manager who favors players who showcase individual skills, except on certain occasions.
With another team, Rodri likely wouldn’t be the first option if his form were inconsistent.
Other options if he were to leave Manchester City would be Saudi Arabia or the United States.

With Rodri’s body language, everything points that he has already had an agreement with Real Madrid. And I don’t think Manchester City will stand in his way if he decides to leave. He has given everything to the club and the best thing the club can do is respect his decision and make his dream come true for him. That’s how to appreciate a player that has given his all for the club. Real Madrid shouldn’t wait till the end of contract. They should come this summer and get. Manchester City has never been known for holding a player beyond their wish.

With rumors circulating that Rodri wants to return to La Liga and his current links with Real Madrid, it is very likely that we will see him back in La Liga soon, but I am a bit reluctant if Real Madrid buy him in this summer market, yes I know Real Madrid is not the only one who wants this player, but considering his injury and his contract expiring soon, waiting for his contract to expire is a good move in my opinion. Even if Rodri can't show his usual talent it won't be a big loss, besides I heard that Rodri and Real Madrid have been in talks so maybe even when his contract expires and there are other teams approaching him, he will probably choose Real Madrid.

It looks certain that he will be leaving Manchester City for Real Madrid, since the rumors were out, there is no news from the player or any side of the club to debunk circulating rumors, this could be actually for real. It is a good move for the player and also for Real Madrid too, Rodri may not be that productive like he was before the injury, but he is still a good addition to the squad, he will obviously do well in the La Liga.

Well for now I guess it's still a rumor so I wouldn't believe or make conclusion until when the deal sealed. I know there is no smoke without fire so when we hear a rumor the it means something related to that was discussed so it means so there might be an interest. Rodri can go back to Spain but I am not sure it will be Real Madrid, especially not after the saga between him and Vinicius for the balloon so I am not sure they are good now.

Definitely Rodri doesn't have much time to spend now at Manchester City so sooner or later spending time at home will be better so moving to Spain his home ground is very good.

It's really wild that Real Madrid are even having this as a thought, which I really doubt, Rodri feels like a waste product of Man City, it feels like Pep has already drained all the nutrient he had and he is just an empty shell of his past sef hence the injury and the recurring minor mistakes which wasn't how he performs before. Maybe we can just blame it on the injury.

I’m not sure Rodri is really a waste as many think this way saying instead of Real Madrid buying Rodri why not just choose other best choice. I must disagree with this despite the injury situation and failed attempts, as time goes he’ll find a better balance for the club, according to my research Rodri wants a deal with Real Madrid. It will not be so difficult as many might think because he once played in laliga so certainly he might get the deal, let’s watch out next what Real Madrid and Rodri has to offer if everything goes as plan.

Its fully rumor only because the Madrid management not release official announcement their interested for signing Rodri, seeing the age actually Rodri on the golden age is good recruitment but Madrid right now have many top holding or attacking midfielder from Arda Guller, Camavinga, Valverde and the untouchable players Aurélien Tchouaméni. Signing Rodri will make confusing the manager to pick good starting line up but its giving many option for manager with their tactical.
However, Rodri has one year contract left with Manchester City and his contract expiring at June 2027 make difficult for any team have spent fees transfer if want to recruit him. Madrid if really interesting to sign him will wait until next two season and Rodri become free agent player so not spent fund for fees transfer.

Ever since Rodri won the ballon d'Or, it has looks as if his career has been covered by darkness cover, a lot of us were looking forward to see the exceptionality in a player like rodri as to why the ballon d'or was given to him, but lately his career has been affected by injury which has made him go on and off the pitch on a regular basis. For me I feel he should leave Manchester City to a club that probably doesn't have too much demand because  a club like Manchester City brings demands to you as you are to play in competitions that needs you to be fit at every point.

As to why the ballon d'Or was given to him, he proved that in the season he got the ballon d'Or for. He deserved it and that is why he won it. The injuries he had afterwards were tough and hard to fully recover from. Most players would experience a big setback from an injury like that. It is still the right decision to extend his contract because he has got all it takes to be a top level midfielder for Manchester City and he is 29 now. He could go for 3-4 years if he doesn't get injured again. In most cases they can fix knees like that and allow a player to go on at full health and that is why Manchester City is interested in extending the contract.

Before you see Rodri mentioning Real Madrid in all the interviews he has been granting, it’s clear that he has already had something on ground with them. Even if Real Madrid is not the only club interested in him, but with how Rodri has been singing the praises of Real Madrid those other clubs will pull back, because the interest of the player is somewhere else. Rodri is not really a player that’s injury prone. He has been consistent over the years, the Acl injury last season was really a big blow, and coming back from such injury is always a gradual process and Rodri is  doing just fine with his come back.

So many football news merchants are reporting Liverpool in the verge to sack Slot. If it happens, he will be replacing by Xabi Alonso (potential). I have heard Xabi will be agreed to join as long as Liverpool can meet his conditions. I personally hope it will be coming true.

Xabi is clearlywhat the club needs. They desperately need some positivity in the club. So i think that will happen only if they will able to bring Xabi to the squad. They need a a manager we can give them an exciting football again. So they can start to continue their winning culture with Xabi on it.

I see many positivity showed by majority of Liverpool fans over this news. so i know they're already getting upset with Slot.
Looking at the results at the club, there is no way that they can finish at a place that will make them happy. They are about to miss UCL next season unless some miracle happens, the gap between them and Villa is five points, and not like it's impossible but there is a high chance that Liverpool can't do that.

Also looking at how they are losing too, and not taking advantage of Villa losing games, it's clear that Liverpool isn't even on a strong momentum. So we can safely assume that, if they finish the season fifth place, then Arne will definitely be out. But even if they somehow rally back and get that fourth place, which I do not think will happen, then even in that case Arne should be fired because Xabi would be a lot better.

If Real Madrid signs Rodri, I think they'll have done a great job. The Spanish player had a fantastic career with Manchester City and might now want to go to Real Madrid. We all see that Real Madrid has a weakness in midfield. Especially after the German player Kroos retired, a huge gap opened up in that area. Rodri could fill that gap very well. Hopefully, we can see such a transfer at the end of the season. It would be a very good transfer for Real Madrid.

If this news is actually true, then it's a step in the right direction because looking at his age and how skilled he is, he can still develop further and may become a key figure in this Manchester United team in the future. Though I disagree that he is not the best replacement for casemiro because kobbie is not a destroyer like casemiro, so he will need a lot of improvement and work to do if he can get to that casemiro level as a defensive midfielder.

I am a big fan of Harry Maguire because defensively he is not the best but his behavior after he was stripped of his captaincy spoke volume of how mature he is as a person, and the area threat he brings to this Manchester United team should not be thrashed just like that, so giving him another year at the club is the right thing to do, which I believe that he deserves it.

With time we'll know whether it's true or not but I don't see anything bad in expressing his desire to play for Real Madrid if they're interested in him, i think he's aware that things could get worst if Pep Guardiola leaves so he's looking for a way out before it gets to that point, Real Madrid won't be a bad destination though.

As a one time Ballon d'Or winner he'll want to step up instead of going to other teams that are below City’s standards, I think that's why he's indirectly chasing other clubs that might hinder the chances of going to Real Madrid. Also, Aurélien Tchouaméni is no longer as reliable as before so I think Madrid could target players with better experience and Rodri would suit that role well.

I support your statement cause Madrid's attack is solid but they still need to work on the defense and the defensive midfield area is position that really requires they strengthen, not just with any player but someone with enough experience to command that role and make it more stronger, if that area is strengthened then it would really help their defense next season. Although Real Madrid is yet to make an official statement concerning signing Rodri

These are his words... Then we might really see him at Real Madrid this summer. It all depends on a good offer by them and that should be enough.

The only question mark about Rodri is his injuries... If he doesn't continue to get injured for a long time then he would be the mainstay of Real Madrid midfield.
With the comment Rodri made when Manchester City were consistently were performing badly this season shows that he's already tired of playing for Manchester City and he want a new challenge somewhere else, so I am not surprised that Rodri wants to leave Manchester City. Yes, Rodri has given Manchester City all his best which should make Manchester City to grant his wish but if Manchester City doesn't want him to leave yet, I think he should submit a transfer request so that he can move to a club where he can be happy playing football.

For me, extending Kobbie's contract makes sense given his young age. Kobbie is a talented player and has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the world. On the other hand, I disagree with extending Harry Maguire's contract due to his lackluster performances and frequent costly errors. Furthermore, Maguire is already 33 years old, and the management should sell him and bring in a quality defender to bolster Manchester United's defense.

There is no smoke without fire and the way it is actually looking as if his going to renew is contract with manchester City and his performance this season is not that convincing so going back to real Madrid I don't think there is much fire in him because look at how many goals he has scored or even the assists he has given so it will be better for him to just remain there a lot of contractions is going to come when he eventually comes back and since a lot of people feel his pep favourite then he should just stay there instead of worrying him self.

Quote
Definitely Rodri doesn't have much time to spend now at Manchester City so sooner or later spending time at home will be better so moving to Spain his home ground is very good.

Yep and eventually a time will come that he will have to return to the La Liga and just that the hopes of him coming back should be that he has improved and ready to impact and now that even real Madrid are so much struggle they seem to be better now but still not assured yet but we just hope that when he eventually comes back he should be better.

Honestly if this happens I don't think Arsenal will be slow in some games, having this player only indicates that the Gunners are not joking when it comes to transfer window on like before when they only show interest in some players but never push in any bid for the player. Kvaratskhelia will definitely be a good addition to the club but the question remains, could PSG let him go?
