So we can expect him to have input related to the players transfers. We have seen how bad the management of Chelsea handled the transfers by themsleves, and it's never end with good result.
The question is, does Chelsea’s management truly support all of Alonso’s ideas and decisions? We all know how Chelsea’s current ownership works. Many people still doubt whether Alonso will really get full control and freedom in managing the squad. On the other hand, I’m also not fully convinced that Alonso can survive for a long time at Chelsea, especially since the EPL is extremely competitive. Sooner or later, he will face massive pressure while managing Chelsea. First of all, I would say that Xabi Alonso is a very lucky person and a good manager too. His days in Bayern Leverkusen has earned him enough respect that even his flaws at Real Madrid cannot erase. Congratulations to him on securing the Chelsea job this time after a brutal experience in Real Madrid. However, I think he is about to face the same challenges he faced at Real Madrid which is non independence of the manager in decisions making. If Chelsea management wants to see the best of Xabi Alonso, let them entrust him fully and provide the resources he asks for. I am one of his believers because no one thought he would lift the Bundesliga title as invincible. Again, most of the Chelsea players may need to be loaned out or even sold completely because they are as good as finished. Chelsea management should be careful of their influence on the managers because even Enzo Maresca who was supposed to liberate them still faced a backlash that led to his exit. I wish Xabi Alonso well.

Do you think Xabi Alonso is doing the right thing? I'm not sure honestly... Because Chelsea isn't managed by people who knows what they are doing now. If they don't listen to him for signings and all, his arrival won't change things much. Rumours? Do you believe in them?
I don't want to believe in them of course. Valverde is one of the most important players of the team now. Real Madrid can't give up on him so easily. The fight between Fede Valverde and Tchouameni Aurelien have been settled, there's peace in the atmosphere and they both will learn to work hand in hand if they're planning to stay at the club. Besides they got fined heavily for fighting and with a large sum of €500 grand, it will put their head in line.
Just because Valverde told the media that there was no problem, it doesn't mean there isn't really any... Tchouameni literally punched him so hard that Valverde had to be in a wheelchair later on. But I liked the fine given to them. Lessons should be learned.

Alonso did not get enough time and opportunity to show his talent in madrid. So we should ignore this aspect. Alonso spent 3 seasons with leverkusen. He was not successful in the first season. In the s econd season he led leverkusen to the bundesliga title. And in the last season Leverkusen was in second place in the table. Alonso could not work independently at real madrid and he could not interfere much in the formation of Madrid's squad. Chelsea will probably give Alonso a fund to build the squad. And give him the freedom to manage the squad. Chelsea's situation is completely different. They are in a very bad situation. If chelsea can stay in the top 4 of the table next season with Alosno , it will be considered a good result for them.

Finally, the good news I've been waiting for came, I'm not going to set my expectations too high like when he was in charge of Madrid, but I do believe Xabi can do better at Chelsea. He a good coach with more modern tactical skills. I hope Chelsea will be more patient and not make any more mistakes this time, I'm quite tired of seeing them changing coaches.
After Chelsea sacked Maresca for practically no reason, I started to doubt their reasonable approach to coaching and, in general their patience and willingness to wait for results. I think Alonso made a very difficult choice because he understands how often Chelsea change managers, and he also understands how complicated the situation around this team is right now. Maybe I even think that he slightly overestimates his abilities if he is ready to take charge of such a team. But on the other hand, this is experience for him, and if he believes he needs this kind of experience, then he will go through it at Chelsea. Since Chelsea were sold off nothing has gone right there. In a way, it’s just fate! I think the club has been politically destroyed and even Xabi Alonso won’t be able to change that, because the club’s management is simply heading in the wrong direction and as long as nothing changes there, things aren’t going to get much better. If to my surprise, they were to listen to Xabi and follow his instructions, Chelsea might just manage a comeback.

If the rumor of Alonso becoming Chelsea manager soon comes to reality, it will be a good development because Alonso will change the mentality of the players and build a competitive team. Chelsea is a club that matches the energy and coaching ethics of Xabi Alonso, he wouldn't find it so difficult manage the team, after all they still have some good players that will be equal to the task. What Chelsea needs now is a stronger attack and effective defenders and their problem would be solved. If they can sign a quality striker and 2 experienced defenders, it will really be a good move for them to strengthen the squad. Chelsea doesn't have too many problems; they just need a coach that will position the team in the right direction.
This news is going to be heartbreaking for Liverpool fans because after contract termination with Real Madrid, they were expecting him to be the next coach of Liverpool, but now, due to Arne Slot's stay, he is having links with Chelsea. Surely it's big news because he is able to bring changes frequently. A creative coach with good vision for doing good in any condition, Chelsea management needs to give him time to do his best, like Bayer Leverkusen. The coming years are going to be perfect for Chelsea, which is now looking for changes and improvement because after Abramovich, they are consistently going down in all aspects.

Because if you look at the history of managers sacked by Chelsea, their fates have been labeled dismal. Xabi is betting on his own reputation and he must be prepared to face the consequences.

Though that's also plays an important role why Chelsea are struggling this season, but in my own opinion the Chelsea hierarchy are the sole cause of their problem because they just want to get involved in almost all the decision making and the day to day running of the club.
A manager will be sacked for not performing as expected, instead of going for a reliable coach that has a track record of success and experience in coaching, they will go for an unproven coach that will start learning on the job, forgetting that this is Chelsea that demands immediate results, because they are used to success, so you won't just come in and start losing games anyhow and be asking for patience when everyone associated with the club is not used to that, so the hierarchy of Chelsea is the main reason the team are struggling, because their decisions making is very poor.
Ever since the new owner took over, that has been the issue. The first few years he just bought whoever he can and put them on the bench, dude was spending money like crazy and he was building a squad, at some point they reached like 45 players on the squad, even they had to say "not all of them will play", some went on loan, some were sold, some even waived. Right now they are going to get better, but they made one big crucial mistake during the season, which was firing Maresca, dude is better and was not root of their problems.

The meeting between Chelsea and Xabi Alonso has already taken place so it is only a matter of time before the world cup that the decision will be announced. Imo Xabi should not rush to offer to become Chelsea coach because there is still a much better Liverpool option. Reflecting on some previous Chelsea coaches then I'm not sure Xabi will last long. He is more appropriate at Liverpool because there he can be given more time, freedom and full support from the officials. As happened to Arne Slot even though he continued to be bad but Liverpool still gave him confidence. At Chelsea that kind of thing will never happen and Xabi could easily be kicked out without respect. I think Chelsea would be a better option than Liverpool. Because in chelsea, Alonso would probably have the freedom to build and work the squad, just like he did at leverkusen. The management has not interfered in the management of the squad. If he gets this opportunity at chelsea, then it would definitely be a better option for him. Liverpool is a big club, that's right. But Chelsea is not a small club. Chelsea's management is also quite rich and they have the ability to spend a lot of money on players. The main thing is that alonso should go somewhere where he will have the freedom to work. He f aced a bad situation in Madrid. If the same thing happens again, it will be embarrassing for Alonso and a big loss for his career. So Alonso has to be careful before choosing a club.

As i know one of main requirement to get his signature to back him and involve him in all of players transfer. so i guess there is an agreement between him and club management related to that thing. That's why i think it's not something wrong for him to take this job when club agree to give him an insurance for his involvement in any of players transfers activities. They clearly need someone to guide them how to buy a proper player instead of getting scammed by another club.

If they don't listen to him for signings and all, his arrival won't change things much. If Chelsea appoint Alonso as manager and acquire the players he wants, he will be successful at Chelsea. Chelsea have had three managerial changes this year. This is unusual for big teams in the Premier League. When Alonso arrives, they need to be patient with him. I was expecting Alonso to become Liverpool's manager. The Chelsea news surprised me, but it's not something that shouldn't happen. I think Alonso will be successful.

Full freedom, are you sure? with the same management as last season. Let's hope you do but I personally wouldn't get my hopes up. Xabi Alonso does have full permission to control players as has been rumored, but that's yet to be proven. I personally only saw evidence when Enzo Maresca who managed to bring the club to a better place, didn't give him the freedom to transfer players.

Do you think Xabi Alonso is doing the right thing? I'm not sure honestly... Because Chelsea isn't managed by people who knows what they are doing now. If they don't listen to him for signings and all, his arrival won't change things much. With the experience he had with Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid, I think it is not a bad decision to give him the job as Chelsea manager, he deserves the job more than all the coaches in line because he have the experience of coaching big teams, and that’s exactly what Chelsea needs right now. Congratulations to Alonso, and welcome to the premier league. I was expecting Liverpool to make the mover earlier, but they gave Arne Slot assurance and he will be their manager come next season, that’s how Chelsea got him easily. Alonso needs to make it clear to Chelsea management because their might be problem from them which can be the reason why managers are leaving the team because they had Maresca that is very good; if the management can be patient to allow Alonso build his team, I think he can make the great again.

I don't want to be too proud of Xabi Alonso at the beginning because we has learned from his performance at Real Madrid, he is not a coach who has a lot of experience in big clubs. But indeed his success at Leverkusen made his name more well known and attracted the attention of top clubs and if he really wants to continue to be a good coach he must be able to show his abilities if his performance at Chelsea can't be better maybe his career will be over and maybe he will no longer be trusted to be a coach at big clubs.

Curtis Jones?! Curtis Jones is a Liverpool player.
Bernardo Silva and John Stones are the both players who have literally announced their own move out of Manchester city. I hate how Arsenal fans are also being negative about their league chances, but it is all good. What will be will be. All Arsenal needs right now is the win against Burnley at home, against Crystal Palace they will have their second eleven players on the pitch which will make Arsenal ace that game easily.
Slight mistake with the names there. John Stones has made it known to the public about their departure. I watched a sneak peek of Silva doing his documentaries last week. As for Arsenal fans, there is a bit of relief as Jurrein Timber is back, and utility Mikel Merino is back on the training field. Hopefully, Timber will warm up for the match against Burnley and Crystal Palace. A few minutes of playing time will help the player to be fully prepared for 30th May.

You're right with the experience he had at Bayer Leverkusen and now Real Madrid I also think it's a good decision for Chelsea to sign him. Many people try to underrate him because he was sacked at Real Madrid but the fact is that the team wasn't really ready for change. His performance at Bayer Leverkusen shows that he's deserving of the job and this is the type of coach Chelsea really needs. I personally didn't expect Alonso to end up at Chelsea because he is an ex player for Liverpool and since Liverpool are not doing well I expected them to try and replace Slot. Well since Liverpool want to give Slot a chance I think it's to Chelsea advantage now that they signed Xabi Alonso. The problem the board have is giving the manager total control of everything including the players to sign. This was what they denied Maresca and was the cause of the problem.

If they don't listen to him for signings and all, his arrival won't change things much. He is now officially a Chelsea manager, and even though I don't subscribe to this move by Chelsea, but I applaud him for signing an agreement where he will have say in their transfer dealings before agreeing to sign for Chelsea. So he would not experience what Enzo maresca or Liam Rosenior experience. Just because Valverde told the media that there was no problem, it doesn't mean there isn't really any... Tchouameni literally punched him so hard that Valverde had to be in a wheelchair later on. But I liked the fine given to them. Lessons should be learned.
Without even the fine place on them, I believe that with what happened and the damage Tchouameni did to valverde, they will hardly get close to each other because valverde in particular will avoid anything that will warrant to any physical fight again, so I believe that peace between them will exist for now.

I'll never use his experience at Real Madrid to judge him, the task at Real Madrid was too much that he can handle and the players didn't even make it easy for him cause they felt they were too big to be coached by someone they don't feel is world class but it's going to be a different thing at Chelsea cause they have lot's of younger talents that would be willingly to develop under Alonso. Although it's right to not be proud until he's coached them for several weeks maybe about 2-3 months before we can conclude whether he might be successful in his first season or not.

Hojlund is posting a farewell message to MU on his IG. So this confirms he's leaving from the club now. He's also emphasize that he's currently Napoli's player. So i guess the deal between Napoli and MU is already cleared. It's a beautiful message from him. He's a potential player, and it's good to see him to keep his professionalism. The saddest part is that he can still give a good message though he's being hated so much. I applause how he was accepting his reality if he was not performing like what he's expected. Wish him luck in his new club and achieve more with Napoli.

That is what you think but you're not sure. Nobody can predict if Alonso will successfully lead Chelsea to the promise land. Alonso is a good coach and I believe that if he comes to Chelsea, we'll see a big change in the club performance because he has his own game strategy that works for him. He might not be successful in Real Madrid does not mean he wouldn't in Chelsea. After all, he did it in Leverkusen.

His failure at Real Madrid wasn't 100% his fault, because there were too many problems there when he was coach. But I also wouldn't have high expectations of him, but with what he has, he has the potential to be able to give the best. And I think he should be more motivated now, because he has to show that before he didn't get much freedom so it affected the performance of the team he was in charge of (Real Madrid). But this also depends on Chelsea, whether he will get everything he needs or not. I myself hope Chelsea can give him full support.
