Although Gordon's transfee fee is higher, they gave him 5 years contract hence it brings down the number by divided it to 5 years. As for Rashford, he wont be getting 5 years obviously, they probably give him like 2-3 years max so the burden would be pretty high. Aside from that, Rashford would probably demand higher wages since he was performing exceptionally less season so overall Gordon is just "cheaper" in terms of FFP rules

I haven't seen Rashford in his best form since I have been watching him play football but I have seen Rashford in a super form three or four seasons ago, when Manchester United finished on third position with Eric Ten Hag.
