I don’t think Liverpool at point wanted Xabi Alonso, because if they did, he was pretty much a free and available coach for several months even while there were speculations and rants from the fans wanting Arne Slot out, it should have been an easy switch for them, and if Liverpool have made any indication of wanting him, he literally would not have signed with Chelsea.

Liverpool board had no plans or intentions to bring in Xabi Alonso to Anfield, they had other options and they're pushing for Andoni Iraola to take over the managerial role. Xabi Alonso didn’t inherit a great Bayer Leverkusen club rather inherited a relegation threatened club which has made them survive and the next season went unbeaten to win the Bundesliga and take the club back to where it belong. If we talk about the funds Xabi Alonso also wasn’t with funds to actually say he received lot of money.

As for giving him money he would deliver, I wouldn’t deny that but it’s not certain because we have seen managers like him do well with low budget clubs and when they move to bigger clubs they simply do not excel there and possibly ends in getting sacked, we saw that from Arne slot himself

It's very difficult for fans of top clubs to be patient with a manager. Of course, I'm happy that they went for someone with a premier league experience, but considering the fact that he needs to build his own team, and make them understand his style of play, it will be risky to have too many expectations. We've seen that happen a lot of times where an ambitious coach that performed excellently with low budget clubs but when they move to a bigger club they disappoint. We saw the likes of Lampard and even Arne Slot as you said, they were doing great with smaller teams and when they moved they couldn't meet up with expectations probably because of the pressure or maybe not experienced enough to handle teams like that.

Xabi Alonso's case is not the same yet, he did exceptionally well in Bayer Leverkusen but couldn't do the same at Real Madrid although there was a different situation at Madrid so he can't be blamed yet. Some doubt him but I think he needs the final test. The move to Chelsea is the perfect move for him so he can prove everyone wrong.

I actually doubted the rumour that Andoni Iraola was the one leading the race to replace Arne Slot at Liverpool. My doubt wasn't because he can't be able to achieve that but because I thought they'll go for managers with higher profile. For them to stick with him, they definitely have a plan with the Spanish coach, I hope they end up getting their desired result.

I'd say Spalleti has eyes for good players with attitude and character and David De Gea fits perfectly when you look at him and his time with Manchester United in the past. A good set of defenders in front of him and he will produce nothing but class. I look forward to seeing this move to Juventus.

Don't forget that Xabi Alonso has given Leverkusen the title after several years of Bayern dominating Bundesliga but he came and ended their dominance. They don't really know what they own back then and the fans well not all said things against him not until he left the club and they started seeing their goalkeeper picking the ball from the net every game week in all competitions that year. De Gea for me is the best goalkeeper after Van der Sar and Onana tried his best but the weak defense couldn't save him but he did all that needs to be done. Even as we are here saying things about football and De Gea says he'd join Manchester United I believe that every fans of the club will be so happy to have him back. Fiorentina has been one of the teams that had good players and after retirement of those players they were still doing well not until 3-4 seasons ago that they started dropping form and I thought they would join the relegated clubs but they fought hard towards the end of the season. If you would rate the goalkeep base on the goals he conceded we should put it on the weakness of the club, they weren't getting things right even when the goalkeeper save them multiple times it still didn't work so I'd say is the club not the former UTD goalkeeper.

I see the new season a bit more simply. I think Arsenal's dominance in the Premier League will largely continue. How well Maresca adapts at Manchester City will be the key factor in determining whether City can challenge Arsenal or not.

As for the other teams Liverpool, Chelsea, and unfortunately even Manchester United, I don't really believe in them at the moment. I think that if everything goes well for City under Maresca, they will be Arsenal's main competitors. If not, Arsenal could end up dominating the league. For now, I don't believe Carrick will be able to guide Manchester United through an entire season at a consistently high level, especially considering that they will also have Champions League matches to deal with. Carrick has no experience at that level, and that could become a significant challenge.

Anything can happen beyond the expectations of outsiders, except for team management. Arne Slot was initially rumored to be retained, but then surprisingly, he parted ways with Liverpool, and Iraola is here we go.
Xabi Alonso is a living legend at Liverpool. His coaching career was excellent at Leverkusen, but not at Real Madrid.
The same goes for Alonso, who is now with the London club. Things could turn around from what many people, including you, think.

Honestly it a big let off for Liverpool, this a club legend that was waiting for the club make a decision and jus at few weeks after chelsea appoint him you then dismiss your coach and try to appoint another. Lol, I will take it that you don’t watch football or you are just being biased, you even got to the extent of saying Alonso is over hyped. This is a man who won the bundesliga with a bunch of average players, he was unbeaten all season. This is a league that was dominated by Bayern Munich. Iraola is a decent man. I like him too. But his career as a manager is not long. More importantly, Irola has no previous experience of managing a big club like Liverpool. I thought that after the dismissal of Arne Slot, liverpool management would look for an experienced manager. But perhaps they are going to sign Iraola.
