Carrick getting Ederson to replace Casemiro shows that he is not really playing the favours. He is not like Amorim or ETH to get his own benefit. Ederson is a player who has been liked by the world and he is a great player for that DM position to replace Casemrio. He will be better, and this is a smart move.

If it does not work out, there must be some other reason, but as a talent, they have improved on paper, all that is left to do now is to make sure he can adapt easily and not have any problems. They do, even thoughhe was part of the reason Barcelona was unable to qualify to the semi final of the UEFA Champions League this season. He wasted almost all the assist that was given to him in one of the most important game to solidify his stay in Barcelona. Rashford delivers but fails to do the normal in a game that puts him on a hot seat.

The deal isn't  really bad imo, they probably trying to stay on budget for signing other players.

I still don't get you, Barcelona are not that financially strong but I don't see them suffering in the transfer market, they haven't failed on bringing in good players either, it could be that Rashford staying at Barcelona permanently isn't going to happen but still the player was brilliant for the club. If you say they throw away money then I believe that the players they went for even on loan won't have done anything positive for the club, Rashford did well, the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny was also great or is it Adams who came on loan some season back did well, even Lewandowski was absolutely amazing for the club, the only issue they have I mean Barcelona, the problem they have is the financial aspect, they need to work more to get more funds so that they won't start asking players for reduction of salary.

Actually, from what I can see, Real Madrid is trying to get their rotation squad to the best possible level next year. Real Madrid's moves for Bo were necessary anyway. Jose Mourinho must know Dumfries from Italy. He's a very strong attacking player. He's more of an attacking player than a right-back. In this respect, he's a player who can compete with the English player TAA. From a competitive standpoint, I think adding him to the team is a very logical decision.

The pattern to which this signings were made is just smelling Jose Mourinho's aura around it, this is the kind of defence line he likes, Denzel Dumfries is 30 already and still in his prime for a right back, where Denzel Dumfries took me by surprise was last season champions League when they were against Barcelona, it was during that period I saw the exception in him. If we are to talk about teams that spends money in the transfer window i don't think Barcelona can be included except in the times of Lionel Messi and other quality players. Because of there financial challenges I know Barcelona don't spent much in the transfer market.

A lot of people are actually in doubt of this particular signing, but I'm not one of them.
I'm still struggling to get Dumfries last two seasons performance off my head, because the dude was just too good. I still believe he's got some of those qualities that he can offer to Mourinho. I understand that a lot of people are actually considering his age, but we all seem to have forgotten that Real Madrid are very good at using players until their mid/late 30's. Moreover, there is no way Mourinho is going to have to rely on a defender like Arnold. Dumfries offers that solidity at the back.

Real Madrid has an eternal problem with injuries especially in the defence line that costed them the title and it will continue if they fail to prevent that with clever signing.
By the way, Real Madrid should do an inquiry about the injuries they got every season. I suppose that's why Mourinho insists in bringing his full staff with him because he trusts them more than the ones in the teams he is managing.

If you are aware of Jose Mourinho game then you will know that this kind of players are what he loves the most. He's always been into black players so I see why he brought in Dumfries. Dumfries might not be the type of player we all expect him to sign now or even get to play at Real Madrid but if the coach wants him then he might probably be of use. Dumfries is not a bad player and I still remember when he played well in the champions league against Barcelona.

For now I think the fans will have to settle for a type of football that wins them games whether attacking or defensive so that can challenge Barcelona properly and maybe after that they can start thinking about style of play. I think that Dumfries is an upgrade to Alexander Arnold, because even though they are both attacking minded, Dumfries is more solid defensively than Alexander Arnold. There's no team that plays attacking football that would still not need the services of a good right back like Dumfries especially after allowing Cavajal to leave the team recently at the end of the season. He could possibly break  into the starting 11 ahead of Trent Alexander Arnold. Reports also have it that this was the intention of the new boss José Morinho on arrival. I believe that he is an experienced player and would perform outstandingly at real Madrid but I doubt if he could perfectly replace the outgoing Cavajal in the position. Real Madrid is known for making high class signings but at the end, indiscipline becomes the team problem. I hope José Morinho brings back the team spirit because real Madrid really wants the laliga by next season.

You're very right. Barcelona largely capitalized on real Madrid failure to win their games this season and that became their turning point to their success this season. Real Madrid stands a good chance to win the league next season and I think they're making good signings already that could boost the defence and allow the attackers to play well upfront. Barcelona is currently struggling financially and may not make any very good signings this summer. Next season is going to be tough for Barcelona and very competitive in the league so we may not be very sure of who wins the league from now not to talk of the point gap.
