Barcelona are already in a huge financial crisis which is why they are not blindly chasing Rashford.
But they are looking towards Gordon.

It was so disappointing that Barcelona at the end fails to retain rashford, for me for that amount it was a good deal for Barcelona but instead they decided to turn to Gordon and get him for 80m euros. After spending so much already this transfer  their have been recent rumors that Barcelona have run broke to even complete their sportify stadium.

For Marcus rashford I think getting a place to play at Manchester United will be difficult but for sure team will come asking for his services, he his still below 30 and could still play at top level football,the question now is will big teams come asking for his services, we just have to wait and see what happens.

Rashford's biggest mistake was being desperate, he should have kept his intentions to himself, his reactions towards Barca was so clear that they're the only club he wanted to play for in the world. You don't give up your intentions like that in a competitive market, now take a look at the 40 million Euros difference between Rashford's price and that of Gordon. It's clear money wasn't the issue, Rashford did well and gave his all, but one thing that gave him out was his desperation to play for Barcelona. Showing how you want something is not always the best way to close a deal. He should enjoy the memories of he spent playing for his dream club.

As far as I know, Rashford is even willing to take a pay cut in the hope that he can play for Barcelona,  so his salary shouldn’t be the reason Barcelona is reluctant to sign him. They have suffered enough for years by not having a taste of good proper signings so I can't blame for what they've done to Rashford now that they have some money to sign some good players. How ironic to think Barcelona wants him on another loan, with willingness to pay the high wage but cant pay a 30m fee for him to be a permanent player. I always knew it will all come down to this the moment Barcelona signed Anthony Gordon. A 2 year contract for Marcus Rashford is a perfect deal. This excuse you make for Barcelona doesn't make suit well at all. It has been made public that he is not the player they want. Well this is another way of telling us not to believe all what these clubs are selling to us, they can come out to say Rashford is going to stay and a 3 year deal is on the way like they said before of keeping him before the end of the season, at the end the whole narrative was false, Barcelona made us believe that they were ok in keeping the English player but no they weren't, they had other plans which is why we saw Gordon coming in and Rashford was pushed aside. I knew they were certainly not gonna permanent his deal the moment they signed his fellow Englishman Anthony Gordon for a staggering fee of £80 million. Rashford was instrumental to their impressive run in the Spanish La Liga campaign in the just concluded season as well as in the UEFA Champions League campaign. I honestly think signing him on a permanent basis for £30 million would've been a better option than going for Gordon who we're not sure if he'll do well at the club.

Now, they're telling Manchester United management that they're open to having him on loan again next season, that's disrespect to Rashford and Manchester United. I don't know Michael Carrick's plan but if Rashford can take a pay cut that aligns with the club's current wage structure, I think it'll be a good move to keep him since he's very experienced and in form at the moment. Let’s wait and see which players will be the talk of the World Cup. I think Mourinho will also be keeping an eye on how certain players perform at the World Cup with a view to bringing them to Madrid. The only rumor that seems genuinely credible to me is Real Madrid's interest in Michael Olise. Madrid already have Rodrygo, but from what I have seen, he has struggled with long-term injury issues.
