An now? Now that Florentino Perez take a fish in his face from Atletico what type of player he want?

In my opinion this was a fake tactic by Floretino to hit his opponent Riquelme from the presidency race. He know that Atletico never say yes for Julian Alvarez, and now he is the president of the better team in the world for another 4 years.

At the same time he need someone of very strong to replace kroos and modric.
I have no idea what Perez's plan is because in the first place the question is: do Real Madrid need Alvarez? In my opinion, no, he would be totally useless for them because they already have Mbappé, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Diaz and other offensive players, so why would they need Alvarez? They need to fix the defense and the midfield.
I suspect that this might be a special request from Jose Mourinho because he might not be real madrid most important need right now, but he is going to be a valuable player for real madrid if he is eventually signed, because this real madrid team lack a proper attacker.
Kylian mbappé is not an attacker, even though he can function there very well, so I think that it would be better that their would be fierce competition for the starting line up, than not having much options to choose from. This is one thing Jose Mourinho knows how to do best, at Chelsea he did it with the acquisition of Willian from the graps of Tottenham, in his first stint at real madrid, he has a lot of options to choose from, so Alvarez will add more competition in the team even though they need to strengthen other areas of their team

I wonder how much they are intending to spend for him. His market value is 40 million euros. Probably Bayern Munich doesn't want to make a big spending this summer.

The reason why is obvious. They already have a strong squad now. They got a record-breaking Bundesliga title and reached the semi finals in the Champions League.  Smiley

They will need to sign a reserve striker too though as Jackson's loan spell is ending.

I can't believe it with my eyes. Nottingham Forest is rejecting 120m offer from City for Elliot Anderson. It's very absurd to see Marinakis is rejecting a bunch of money for his player. It's something that we rarely saw from him.

I think that offer won't come twice. So it's a disaster for Marinakis to reject City's offer. It's time for City to shop elsewhere.

I believe Elliot Anderson is a great player, but wasting 120m pounds on one player isn't worth. They could acquire Cherki, which is world class but cost them so cheap. Why do they need to spend 120m on Elliot Anderson? I believe this makes MU to chase someone else too.

I was wondering why Bayern Munich is considering paying such a heavy fee for Nathaniel Brown when they have Alphonso Davies in the same position. Maybe the club is concerned about the health of Davies and wants a good substitute.  It is also good that Brown can still play also play left-wing or right-back. Maybe the new signing would be moved to the right side based on Vincent Kompany’s system.

Real Madrid shows fake interest in Alvarez only to pump his price even further, so that Barcelona won't be able to buy him. Grin This is the theory, that I've heard from a Real Madrid fan. He might be right, but I don't think that Barcelona would spend 150 million euro for a player right now. I've also heard rumors that Flick doesn't want Rashford in the squad and this is why Barcelona won't buy him. Maybe Rashford has problems with discipline and doesn't show enough dedication and hard work for the team. He's a substitute player at best and I think that he's overpriced as well. 30 million seems too much for a substitute player. Maybe a fair price for Rashford would be somewhere in the range of 15-20 million.

Haha Papa Perez Use That's trick. No doubt Real madrid have tone of good Striker in the squad they don't need any Striker. This whole drama create just to overpriced the Julian Alvaraz Deal. But I think laporta are smart they can't pay that much to Alvaraz.  If they want to pay high I think it will be pure disappointment because Barca need a striker and Julian is good But can't compere with Haaland.  If you want to pay that's much pay a little more to bring Haaland it will be a perfect Striker for barcelona. Rashford deal is off and no longer a Barca player because he is not Consistent and barcelona already sign Gorden

Fabrizio Romano: Barcelona will NOT pay €30m buy option clause for Marcus Rashford, expiring in 5 days. Rashford formally set to return to Man United but Barça remain open to new solutions, like another loan deal.

I think that if they were truly determined to keep Rashford at Barcelona and make his move permanent, they wouldn't wait until the last day to do it. They would have completed the deal much earlier. Right now, it's obvious that they are focused on other transfer targets.

As for Rashford, they would be willing to extend his loan spell if they can reach an agreement with Manchester United. However, I think Carrick was actually hoping that Rashford would return to Manchester United.
By refusing to activate the permanent buyout clause, it’s clear that Barcelona doesn’t actually want Rashford. But I’m also puzzled: Barcelona doesn’t want to buy Rashford, yet they’re willing to take him on loan. This clearly puts Manchester United at a disadvantage because Barcelona wouldn’t have to pay Rashford’s full salary if it were a loan deal.

Manchester United shouldn’t even be considering a loan deal with Barcelona anymore, since it’s obvious Barcelona has been playing games with them. Now it would be better for Manchester United to look for another club willing to buy Rashford if they truly want to sell him. Or, Manchester United should keep Rashford and give him time to prove his ability under Carrick’s guidance because I’m confident that if Rashford develops under Carrick, his value will rise even higher than before, and Manchester United will be the ones to benefit.

Rashford was great, he gave them one good year, and he replaced Raphinha anytime he got a chance and he played alright, but they knew that it was a temporary relationship for one year and now that is done, they were looking for something more permanent.

Barcelona will definitely not keep 3 players for the same place, especially when Barcelona's financial situation is not that good. With Gordon's signing, Barcelona has become uncertain about Marcus Rashford. It was not expected that Barcelona will not sign Rashford permanently. We don't even think that Barcelona needs Rashford anymore, they might not even take Rashford on loan. Because Barcelona doesn't need him that much. I am now waiting for a big signing from Barcelona, especially the signing of Julian Albarez or his replacement player. Seeing Julian Albarez in Barcelona has become a bit uncertain now, Barcelona may also be trying to find his replacement.

It was always known that they would not sign him back for that much money as soon as they made the Gordon deal. If they wanted Rashford and wanted him to stay then they would not have signed Gordon, but they did, which means they already had his replacement handled.

Rashford was great, he gave them one good year, and he replaced Raphinha anytime he got a chance and he played alright, but they knew that it was a temporary relationship for one year and now that is done, they were looking for something more permanent.
That's exactly the point, they see him as a good replacement for Raphinha, but apparently they have no intention of signing him permanently or buying him from Manchester United. It's a shame because I think Rashford fit the team well and really helped them out on several occasions. Well, I hope that in Manchester he will become a regular starter and manage to have an even better season than he had in Barcelona. Besides, Manchester United are back in the Champions League, and I think that's very good for Rashford.

What's the point in the beginning? I think it's more speculation than what really happened. I don't think I can remember a time Real Madrid shows interest in a player just to rise the fee, you can't even rise any fee on demand on something you never pay for the release clause. Assuming Real Madrid bought him and then increased the price, then it will be understandable and with all of these, there's nothing official about Alvarez and Atletico Madrid.

Think of it, if Real Madrid wanted to use this competition, when Lewandowski came to Barcelona, they didn't have much stake in Laliga due to their financial problems. They could have bought Lewandowski or play this same card. It was immediately after Lewandowski, Raphina and Yamal became forward they took over Laliga and these two season that has passed, Real Madrid has not been unable to won any Laliga trophy, what now change? Think about it.

As you have rightfully said, he is going to be a reserve striker in this Bayern munich team if this deal is completed because Nicholas Jackson has returns back to Chelsea, so it's a deal that the team needs, because squad depth is very important to stay competitive all season.

One area of their team they really needs to improve on is their defense, because if they had a solid defense, they wouldn't have been knockout by PSG, so if they really planned to go all the way and win the uefa champions league next season, they needs to strengthen their defense as much as they can because solid backline wins you trophies like the uefa champions league.

Honestly I also don’t get why he wen to bid for Alvarez, I don’t see him having a space in that Real Madrid team, I think on saying it was a political tactics from Perez I would agree to that because he said he was goin be o bid a 150m for a player and not sign a player for 150m euros. For sure Real Madrid will still make a couple of signings this this transfer, they will get some midfielders and also defenders too but it all have to come with what Jose morihno wants.
Since Alvarez bid have been rejected let see what player Real Madrid will try to get next.
You're not wrong. It has to be a political move from Real Madrid to make sure Barcelona don't get their hands on him. Aside from the price having him in the team will be a wrong move especially if Mbappe and Vinicius are still around. When you look at it properly Mbappe is their striker so having Alvarez around will be surplus for them since they all are starters and Alvarez, Vinicius and Mbappe can't be left on the bench.

Alvarez is a good player but Real Madrid will not have use for him with Vinicius and Mbappe around since they already occupy the wing and striker position unless if they sell one of them so he can play as a striker. They will have to sign some midfielders too because the team needs strengthening in all departments.

With Alvarez bid rejected they should instead go for a right winger to balance the team properly.

Perhaps this is because they are truly serious about keeping Elliot Anderson as a valuable asset. Manchester United had previously been interested in signing Elliot Anderson, but because Nottingham was asking for a very high price, reports suggest that Manchester United has backed off and withdrawn their interest. And well, it’s possible that Nottingham will regret turning down a high offer from Manchester City. Or perhaps they’re hoping the player will be worth even more than that. Although I’m not so sure. Because I think there are quite a few players who are on par with Elliot Anderson. It’s just that since he’s still young, keeping him for the long term is certainly a good move.

Manchester United seems to be holding out for a high price for this talented player of theirs. And it seems they really want him back at Manchester United. Rashford had some trouble adapting during Amorim’s tenure as manager. But now it seems Rashford will be brought back into Manchester United’s starting lineup in the hope that he can have a positive impact on the team’s performance under Michael Carrick, where he has a long-term contract to manage the Red Devils. On the other hand Barcelona is hoping that Anthony Gordon can serve as a replacement for Rashford whom Barcelona seems unlikely to sign permanently. However Rashford’s performance during his loan spell at Barcelona has been quite impressive given that the number of goals and even assists he contributed in many of Barcelona’s matches. And both teams hopefully have sound plans or even strategy in place to deliver impressive performances for football. But Barcelona is reportedly still open to the possibility of a new loan deal for Rashford.

This sounds a dumb decision. Okay, Rashford's salary is high, but he agrees to the paycut. So 30m sounds no brainer deal. Even if we're comparing him who have 16 G/A this season, though he's often benched is still far ahead compared to the Alvarez with 12 G/A and Gordon with 8 G/A.
It sounds so stupid they are ready to spend 220m in total for Gordon + Alvarez combined instead of pay 30m for him. No doubt their financial will never get better.

120 million is a fantastic sum, and I think that’s more than enough to sign Elliot Anderson , because if it goes beyond that, I don’t think it’s worth it. I have no idea what Forest is up to, because, to me, it makes no sense to turn down 120 million .... Besides, with that much money, Forest could buy two or three new players. To be honest, I’m quite  curious to see what Man City will do, as it looks like they’re going to  make another bid for Elliot Anderson.

As for Man United, they’re likely to back out because they’re not what they used to be, where they’re no longer willing to splash the cash on someone who might  not even want to join them. I think, Mateus Fernandes or Sandro Tonali could be good alternatives , but if both players come with a hefty price tag, Man United may well look for other options

I don't think Barcelona had intention of taking Alvarez but maybe Real Madrid wanted to show Barcelona that they can get any player they want regardless of the price. Beside Barcelona is still recovering from their last financial status, any player they are going to sign now is going to be on a low budget salary, the one that will not be asking for much, remember Rashford was decline to join the team as full player because of his weekly wage was too high.

If they but Alvarez for that large amount, he will be asking for much money as weekly pay and for a young player like that, he will want a long contract, that's going to be a burden in the future if eventually things doesn't go as planned. I don't think that club has money to spread around that's why they said they don't need Rashford but says they are ready to collaborate for another loan, if they have the money they will sign him instead of this back and forth.

There's nothing to worry yourself. They will both come to agreement soon. As much as the player wants the move to Manchester City, then rest assured, this deal is already a done and dusted deal.

If they can get him alongside getting Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, they will be super solid in midfield under Enzo Maresca. The FIFA World will also be no delay, they will come to an agreement soon. Manchester City management are decisive with matters like this.

When look at the quality of Real Madrid's forward line, I might agree with you that Alvarez is completely unnecessary for the team because Real Madrid has a number of quality players in those positions.
Clearly, what Real Madrid needs is in defense and midfield, as both positions are considered quite weak, and Real Madrid needs to make real changes in both positions next season.
If this is not done, the concern is that next season's competition will be the same as this season, where Real Madrid struggled to compete with Barcelona in La Liga and compete with other teams in the Champions League.
