Sometimes I wonder why Barcelona chose to buy Anthony Gordon for such a huge amount and refuse to pay just €30M for Rashford. I think Rashford is a better player than Anthony Gordon,  although I think only reason for not choosing Rashford is the age difference.  It's such a pity that he will now have to go back to Manchester United,  despite making it open that he prefers to stay at Barcelona. Anyways I think he is still a decent player and if they cannot find a way for him to play for Manchester United,  he will definitely get other suitors that will want him.

We are too busy discussing the possibility of Alvares but forgetting that Bernardo Silva is a possible player who will be in Madrid's shirt next season and honestly this is a good move in my opinion even though Bernardo Silva is 31 years old.

He's likely to get a 2-season contract until 2028 and that makes sense but I'm always looking for a creative attacking midfielder and the brains of the attack from midfield and Bernardo is decent enough despite his age.

Perhaps Flick doesn't want to sign him because he's already gotten the maximum performance out of him. 20 or 30 million Euros isn't a very high price for Barcelona. If they want him, they'll get him; if they don't want him, then they won't. Rashford must not be part of their plans for next year. In my opinion, he performed well with Barcelona and deserved to stay in Spain.

I think the age is the major factor coz here.... One thing I have noticed about Barcelona is that they love signing in young players who they they know they can afford financially and they also mould them into what they want.... And since Gordon is only 25 and plays the same wing as Rashford plus his ability to go defensive if need be, Barca chose him as a better substitute to Rashford... Rashford is a good player and Man United should have just lowered the price to an amount that would have made Rashford continue his stay in Barcelona...During his loan spell, he had 28goal contribution in all competitions and that's is an exceptional performance if you ask me...

Rashford for me did well in this just concluded la Liga season, he was able to at least score around 13 goals, some of them were very important goals, trust me, if you remove Rashford goals, Barcelona wouldn't win the la Liga.
