Wow, now Robert Lewandowski will go to Chicago Fire. MLS looks like it is becoming what the Saudi Arabia wanted to do with their league Now many players like Messi, Suarez, Lewandowski are going there and playing for teams from MLS Confirmed by Fabrizio Romano: https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/2071285448727462392/photo/1Honestly, MLS league feels like a retirement home for European football players who aged. So this transfer was expected. Nevertheless, i feel a bit disappointed to see him goes to the Chicago Fire. It'll be far good if he can go to the InterMiami along with Casemiro. Yet, this is not bad because he finally find his retirement club to play with. MLS league is not competitive compared to other league like La Liga or premier league even if i am not mistaken there was no relegated system at there which mean the pressure is not too high so, the league like this is suitable to the old players who almost near to retire. Messi even choose this league and probably this will being an his last league before retire. For Lewandowski indeed this news is predictable that next season he has two options that stayed in Barcelona if the contract extended and the second one is moved to MLS but since Barcelona decided not used him anymore then MLS is his next league.

Messi joined MLS at age 36. At the same age, Ronaldo was competing for the top scorer position in Italy with Juventus. He was playing for Manchester United. Undoubtedly, stars like Lewandowski and Messi are among the greatest names in the history of world football, but in my opinion, they retired a little too early. They should have kept playing a little longer in the major leagues...

Yup that is the most common option so far after Saudi Pro League of course, the news is that Robert Lewandowski has agreed to 2-year contract with a salary of around $17 million per season yeah that's the 2nd highest salary in MLS after Messi. By the way, several sources also mentioned that Lewandowski received an offer from the Saudi Pro League with a higher salary but for some reason he prefers MLS, I think it's related to his family which is easier to adapt in the US. What do you think is the reason why these MLS clubs are hunting for famous players from Europa? maybe they are also aiming for popularity or something?

Manchester United are about to sign a player likened to Chelsea and Ecuador's Moises Caicedo (Image: Getty Images
Manchester United is taking the bold step, in building theirs midfield with young players who are hungry to deliver result, this latest player transfers deal is one among multiple other's in the pipeline as preparation or th season ahead intensify, red devils are making sure to complete the good performance they stated in last season after finishing third, this new players transfers is going to position Manchester United or better record in the championship. Moises Caicedo to Manchester United? I strongly doubt that Chelsea will let that happen. Caicedo has been an integral member of the Chelsea team since he arrived the club, he's one of the reasons Chelsea are still considered as a contender for the English Premier League title next season despite even when they've sold Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid and Enzo Fernandez is also on the verge of leaving the club. The Ecuadorian hasn't made any statement that suggests he's not happy with Chelsea again so I don't even think he wants to leave so for now, I'll treat this report as a mere speculation that'll end as rumours.

I thought that replacement might be introduced gradually, with the new player easing into the role while Lewandowski remained as a backup. But it looks like Flick is planning a much more radical overhaul. MLS is a wealthy league, and Lewandowski could earn an excellent contract there, so why not continue his career in the United States?

PSG are planning to sell three players this summer, and it looks like they have already reached agreements on moves to new clubs. Goncalo Ramos is expected to join Milan for €74 million. Lee Kang-in is in talks with Atletico Madrid, while Randal Kolo Muani has agreed personal terms with Juventus. This was reported by Fabrizio Romano on X. I think that after these departures, Luis Enrique will need to start looking for suitable replacements.

It's good for him to retire in MLS and earn fat pay because he has given all he can to football and there's nothing bad for him to go for the money instead, of staying in Europe. He can cope in MLS due to his age because the league doesn't have much pressure and it isn't as competitive as European leagues.

There were even rumors that the Arab league club offered a salary of 35 million per season. Anyway, congratulations on your new club, and with its arrival MLS will be even more popular.

All these players you mention are going to leave PSG this summer and Gonçalo Ramos has already signed for Ac Milan while Lee Koang-in is about to join Atletico Madrid, these guys have already won trophies with the club and they have contribute a lot to the club that they deserve a good recognition, PSG have already get their replacement and that Yan Diomande and Maghes Akliouche from Manoco, PSG have already have the replacement that is why they want to sell those players who have already spent more than 4 to 5 years in the club. PSG want to build a team that no any club will want to face and they are ready to break the record or the club that win three Champions League titles in a row, when PSG players are saying that i believe in them because they have a good squad and they are ready to more talent players that will contribute to the squad and win trophies, many clubs should get ready because PSG is about to something big next season.

I read that Chelsea are making an offer around £30 million, that's a very good offer for a 33-year-old midfielder. They shouldn't try to hold him back to force Chelsea to pay more because that might actually make them leave him and go for another option. Granit Xhaka is a quality player but when you consider his age, I think Chelsea's offer is very okay. Unless Sunderland doesn't have any plans of selling but if that's the case, I doubt it'll stop the move from happening since it's Xhaka's former coach Xabi Alonso who he has a very good relationship with is the one that's requesting for his services.
The news flying all over social media that Chelsea are preparing to submit a bid worth £30 million for Granit Xhaka is false, what Chelsea bid for Granit Xhaka was £8 million and it was rejected by Sunderland. After Sunderland rejects Chelsea £8 million bid, they went further to tell Chelsea that Granit Xhaka isn't for sell for any price. Sunderland is trying to make Chelsea over pay for Granit Xhaka. If Chelsea make an offer around £20 million or £25 million Chelsea and Sunderland could be able to agree a deal for Granit Xhaka.

I like Xabi, but I wonder what Chelsea is trying to achieve by bringing in a 33-year-old player. And if they pay such a high transfer fee, it could be seen as a complete fiasco. Chelsea is a Premier League team, and they don't usually have a policy of signing players this old. I think the Spanish manager is taking a risk right now.
Xabi wants to have a real leader on & off the pitch [e.g., the dressing/locker room impact he has shouldn't be underestimated], but considering that he's under contract until 2028 and doesn't have a release clause [AFAICS], it's going to be a hard one for Chelsea [I wouldn't be surprised to see Sunderland reject the next bid as well].

Chelsea are still considered Premier League title contenders next season? Seriously, under Xabi Alonso and in his first season? I highly doubt it. Even Caicedo should be realistic that his place at Chelsea could be replaced at any time, there's nothing particularly special about him. At least Manchester United offers him a place where he can play in the Champions League, but at Chelsea? You know what.

Granit Xhaka was the one who can settle in Xabi's tactical plan very well when he was at the Bayern Leverkusen. It's the reason why they try to reunite him with Xabi. So he can lead the club to play in what Xabi wants. He's pretty much like a mentor. I also remind you Chelsea is lacking someone who can be a good mentor to the players in t he club. It's the reason why they try to bring him to Stamford Bridge. However, their offer for him already rejected by Sunderland due to the too small.

Barcelona preferred the signing of Anthony Gordon for €80m over Marcus Rashford for €30m. https://x.com/TouchlineX/status/2070959784715489666They both compete for the same position in the England squad, and now Rashford has BENCHED Gordon for England's third match. Gordon has been criticized for his poor performances, meanwhile Rashford scored a goal and has good cameos off the bench so far. What do you think? In my opinion, this is a manifestation of direct competition. What does their competition on the English national team have to do with Barcelona? Does this suggest that Barcelona made a mistake in signing one of them? I don’t think so. The playing styles of the English national team and Barcelona are very different. Even though Gordon lost out to Rashford on the English national team, he might perform well at Barcelona in the future. We’ll just have to wait and see how Gordon performs at Barcelona before we can say, Yes, it turns out Barcelona made the right choice in signing Gordon over Rashford.

Aurelian Tchouaméni? You're not serious right? I haven't seen any news that says he's leaving the club. On top of that, there's no direct replacement for him. I know José Mourinho has brought Bernardo Silva, and the club still has Jude, Federico Valverde, Arda Güler and rest to build a tough midfield. Meanwhile, in Caicedo's case, judging a player's ability based on their height doesn't make any sense. That boy is a strong fighter-- do you watch how he tackles? To hell with the set pieces! Edit: I made a search that it says meni doesn't have any desire to leave the club.
The Athletic wrote about it, you can go see for yourself on their twitter handle. We don't know what plans Jose Mourinho has for him but there are speculations and they came up immediately after the physical combat he had with Valverde in the dressing room. Did you not read where I called him the new Makalele?! That should tell you how well I rate him but then, Manchester United currently will do well with a defensive midfielder with height. It is reasons why I wanted Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson to fill that role but it didn't happen. We will see, the market is still open. Did you not see Rio Ferdinards podcast?!

In these leagues older players face fewer challenges, allowing them to relax and continue earning money. This may not be the case for all players, but I've seen some older players try to play in less competitive leagues. Even though their speed isn't the same, they can still compete. Cristiano Ronaldo decided to play in the Saudi Arabian League and Lionel Messi played for the MLS and I think it was the best decision for both of them. Some players decide too quickly to play in both leagues, even though they are still able to adapt to a much more competitive league, but they have made a decision and perhaps it has been carefully considered.

Some people don't even have any clue about football, yet they make comparisons like a toddler and wish everyone sees them as Gary Neville's counterpart. The premier is the most competitive league in football as we all know--- A good talent that strives in that league can succeed in any other league, unless they suddenly become injury-prone. Anthony Gordon isn't weak like some people see him to be, he just needs a little bit of player development and also, play time to gain the confidence. Barcelona isn't Real Madrid that won't spare you anytime to develop yourself.

Nico Paz is a great player, I'm sure he would shine more at Real Madrid than in Italy,
Remember, Nico Paz primarily plays as an attacking midfielder. While at Como, he's very flexible and is often placed as a central midfielder, right winger, or attacking midfielder. So he'll be competing directly with Arda Güler or Jude Bellingham. It's quite tough, and if he can't manage, he'll just end up warming the bench. So Paz probably won't get much playing time. I think staying at Como is a good decision. At Como, Paz will get more minutes on the field, and he can prove himself to develop, and when the time is right, he might move to a bigger club.

Sunderland spent close to 20 million Euros plus Add ons to get Xhaka, selling him for a lowball offer of 9 million Euros is quite unacceptable, at first the media was saying they offered 30million Euros, which would have been much acceptable had it been true.

Barcelona said they would be looking for a replacement for Lewandowski.
Wherever Robert Lewandowski goes, I wouldn't be too surprised, as at his age, he only has two options retirement or a move to a lower league. There's no reason for Barcelona to use him anymore. He can enjoy the rest of his time in MLS, and the competition there shouldn't stress him out.
