If it's left for me there shouldn't be any need to strive for an overly hyped and inflated price for a player like Alvarez. Barcelona are not financially stable no doubt but if they manage to squeeze out such money by either borrowing or stealing according to you for a player like Alvarez then that would be an even bigger mistake for them. If we look at the stats of Adeyemi at Borussia Dortmund, he won't make a good replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Adeyemi doesn't convert many chances as Lewandowski did at Barcelona. Adeyemi cannot rescue the team in critical moments when his impact is needed the most unlike Lewandowski that even when he is being brought in as a substitute, he tries as much as possible to help his team win a match. Maybe he might be useful as a winger and not in attacking position. Barcelona will likely sign him since an agreement has been reached already but i don't think he will make a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

First of all, Adeyemi is not a striker; he is not Lewandowski's replacement. He is a player who is versatile and can be used to play as a striker when a striker is not available, but he is not a striker. He is a winger. A left-footed right winger at that.
Secondly, Adeyemi is not to replace Raphinha. I have seen some people conclude that Raphinha would be sold and Adeyemi is his replacement, but he is not. Adeyemi is a backup to Lamine Yamal. It seems Barcelona would be selling or loaning out Roony, meaning there is no one else that can deputise Yamal, that is why they are going for Adeyemi who is a better player than Roony.

That has been said a quadrillion times and every year they said that Barcelona is going to be bankrupt. I think some people don't understand how sports economics work. Clubs like Barcelona never go bankrupt. Their brand is too valuable and there will always be an investor or financial supporter for their own benefit. Atletico Madrid are not just interested in letting their key start out to rivalry club, I bet if it was a team outside LA Liga they might have consider or spoken more politely, maybe stating they need more money.

Let’s not be too optimistic here, on paper I don’t think this attack is that deadly and can match that of Madrid at the moment. What makes this interesting is the Wirtz angle. Klopp at the international level could be spark to unlock something that has not quite worked well at Liverpool. Germany next season may be defined by that relationship alone. World Cup and Euros prediction is not to be taken seriously of course, although it is hopeful. Klopp is lucky to have players like Wirtz and Musiala and a desperate yet experienced team that will know exactly what they need to do in 2026. Marc cucurella move away from Chelsea wouldn't be that much of a problem because he can be easily replaced, and besides, he wanted the move so badly, and if Chelsea tried to stop him, it would be like they are keeping an unhappy player in the team, which will not be a good distraction, so it's not a bad decision to let him go.

Any player that is at the club must be willing to fight for the badge, so who moves out shouldn't be a problem, but what is more important is the quality of player that is brought in as replacement.

The only logical explanation behind this offer is that, maybe, Barcelona think that Atletico would prefer to sell Alvarez to them for less money instead of let him go to Real Madrid, their number one enemy, for more money. And maybe there also is a second one: Alvarez prefers Barcelona over Real Madrid.

I don't think this plan is going to work because Atletico are equally pissed with both Real Madrid and Barcelona, so I don't think their are going to do them any favor.

The problem is that Barcelona is borrowing €210 million for their day to day squad operation. Wasting 66% of it to buy Alvarez can lead to them to the another financial crisis, which also potentially led them to another sanction. So they will unable to register their players. I think they have to stop from being so obsessed in signing Alvarez.

The player wants them, but there is a contract who gated him. The better they put a new CB as their priority, which will not harm their club.

This barcelona story is always interesting to watch.
