I still consider arsenal a huge favorite in winning the league next season, they have been together for over five years and the chemistry and understanding between the players is already excellent.
Arsenal remains a viable title contender next season, but Manchester City will certainly try to thwart them again. Fortunately Manchester City is in a transitional phase with a new manager, giving Arsenal a better chance of achieving more consistency. One thing that might also be worth noting is that Manchester United under Carrick could also be in the title race next season.
True, Manchester United should be considered alongside Arsenal winning the premier league next season. From my view Arsenal are likely more favorable at this point just hope Arteta don’t make the wrong changes as well a good signing, definitely we’ll love to see more of these next season but, more of competition. Manchester City fate depends totally on the outcome of a new coach, coach problem can be really difficult to handle like we’ve seen Manchester United and Chelsea struggle these past season not until Carrick management and Chelsea making a good move choosing Alonso well let’s watch out for next season.

In the end, he will remain at Atletico Madrid. This case is similar to Nico Williams' case in the past. In the end, Nico Williams stayed at Bilbao and had an extremely poor season. The club gained nothing from their stubborn refusal to sell him to Barcelona. Now we will see the same thing happen with Atletico Madrid. It's not Barcelona that will lose, but rather Atletico Madrid that will lose in the long run. Clubs that aren't fighting for the title should use their heads more and not act on emotion. They know they earn more by selling players. Because even if they kept the player, they wouldn't gain anything and would still have to pay a high salary.

I understand.
The difference is, Nico never came out to say he wanted to leave, but Alvarez has. Nico had family and his brother in Bilbao, so he had a reason to stay. Alvarez on the other hand doesn't have all that.
Atletico have no bargaining chip, that is why they are using the only they have which is to be stubborn. Alvarez is their best player and also their highest paid player, so if he says he wants to leave and the club refuses, they can't threaten to keep him on the bench. A club won't want to keep their best and highest paid player on the bench if he wants to leave when they can make money from him and get replacements.

If he remains in Atletico, then he would do it out of respect for the club.
What the management of the team says right now doesn't hold much water because it was the same way they kept denying that Alvarez told them he wants to leave till he said it in a post game interview during the world cup. If he insist on leave, Atletico would be forced to sell.

And finally, the first signing for the gunners has arrived. €40m fee for such a player is absolutely a fair amount, especially for those who know him. A decent replacement for Trossard, and likely to be a massive competitor to Martinelli on that left wing. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the Premier league.
Christos Tzolis possesses a remarkable ability to get past defenders, and perhaps this ability is what drew Arteta to add him to the squad. Personally, I was quite impressed with his performances in last year's UCL. And I'd say 40 million for a player like him is well worth it.

Fabrizio also posted a while ago that Arsenal have started accelerating talks with Villa for Rogers... Then with the possibility of getting Guimaraes because these three players are currently their main targets.
It would be great if Arsenal didn't just bring in Christos Tzolis, several positions do need improvement, considering their performance in the UCL; they need to do that if they're aiming for the title.

Xabi Alonso had a successful tenure in Germany, but he couldn't replicate that success at Real Madrid in Spain. Therefore, it's uncertain how successful he will be with Chelsea in the challenging Premier League atmosphere. Everyone thinks he's a good manager, but we'll see what he can achieve with Chelsea in such a competitive league. If he can put Chelsea in contention for the championship, then we can truly call him a good manager.

There is no need to compare Real Madrid and Bayern Leverkusen, the two domestic league each team play he same other teams and the competition aren't the same and same as the players. If Xabi Alonso was to go back to Leverkusen now to challenge the Bayern teams now, I don't think he will be able to lift that league before Bayern Munich, they will not let him because he doesn't even have same kimd of players he had the season he disrupted the league.

The same way people think he will not be able to win the league might be same way he will used Chelsea to change the Premier League. Never underestimate any team, a lesser team can be come a very serious team if the club let him build some players that will change everything they need. Chelsea are even reach and they prioritize money when they want to buy players, if they see that you can deliver what they want, they will invest in your ideas to win.

The only thing stopping Alvarez from becoming a Barcelona player now is that Atletico don't want to sell to Barcelona. Why do you guys keep echoing this "Barcelona are struggling financially"? Didn't you guys see the send a bid of €100 million to Atletico Madrid? Would a club that is struggling be able to make that bid after spending €70 million on Gordon?
snip

Even though Barca sent an offer of that amount to ATM, it doesn't mean that the offer is without risk, because €100 million is not a small amount, especially for a club that has just recovered from financial problems, they need to carefully evaluate every aspect of the deal and ensure that such a significant investment is in accordance with their financial condition.. because they are also not yet at a phase where they can afford to spend massive sums without carefully considering the long-term financial consequences. so Barca's move to get Alvarez with that amount of money is not without risk, it's just that they are more considering the benefits they will get if they succeed in bringing in the player.

What i mean is that if Zidane dosent win the upcoming euro or dosent reach the final i dont think he will be the coach later on in France. I mean there is still a lot of time until this happens but France has a team to win everything and Zidane for me will get sacked in the future if he dosent reach at least the final. But still he still didnt make a take over of France yet. But still yes i think that if he dosent reach at least the final he will get sacked. Dosent matter how good the coach or player he was for France if he dosent deliver he will either resign or get sacked and i believe that can happen. But still euros are a long way away from happening. But for me France will be the favorites to win this trophy for sure.

Ok again you think that if France meets Spain in the semifinal of the European Championship in 2028 and France loses, Zidane will be sacked? I am trying to understand this, but I can't because I only understand things that make sense. France and Deschamps lost the final against Argentina in 2022 and then Deschamps lost the semifinal against Spain at the European Championship in 2024, if it goes according to your logic, how was it possible that Deschamps was the coach in 2026? Grin

In 2020, France and Deschamps lost against Switzerland in the round of 16, but he still was the coach? It's ok you can have your opinion, but are you backing this up by data or evidence or is it just your expertise as a football pro who knows how the business works?

Well some people still have suggest that Manchester United will struggle next season, considering the amount of competition they will be participating in. Manchester United will be playing in all available competitions, that is practically playing almost 3 times a week. When you look at it, most players in Manchester United now have not experienced playing 3 times a week, even Carrick as a coach have not experienced it, so that will Maybe make life difficult for Manchester United.

Carrick did a good work when he took over, he moved the club from mid table to getting a champions league football in just half a season. I guess we just have to wait and see how Carrick will perform in the coming season.

A very good performance with Argentina in the World Cup has made Julian Alvarez highly sought after by big teams. There are rumors that Arsenal will replace Gyökeres with Álvarez. But Arsenal has to compete with Barcelona, as Atletico is offering a transfer of more than €150 million. This condition is certainly a lot of money for Barcelona, they still seem to be financially struggling.

Alvarez only wants to go to Barcelona. He has already told Atletico that he wants to leave. Arsenal and PSG are interested clubs, and if he wanted those clubs, I think the deal would be easier, but since he wants Barcelona, it has become complicated. Barcelona is a rival to Atletico, and they were surprised that Barcelona actually has the money to sign the player.
I believe that in the end, Alvarez will still go to Barcelona. Atletico will not be able to force him to stay or force him to chose another club.

The "Barcelona broke" story is like. Trauma events that people are not ready to move on from in 2022. They went through a lot of money on Gordon. We all saw the bid attempt to Atleti, it was real. What more do you want. Atletico spent a ton this summer already. In the time prior to the arrival of the Alvarez dollars. There are rules about that in And La Liga. Real rules. Not suggestions.

So who is feeling the squeeze? Alvarez already told them that he wants to go away. Made it known in the open. Arsenal fans are coping. PSG is not even considered a choice. He said Barcelona. It ends at Barcelona.

I really don't want to see Arsenal on that light of winning the premier League anymore, this is because the rate at which they become inconsistent when people attention is drawn to them gets me confused. Before the league ended, it took the grace of God for Manchester City not to have had equal points with Arsenal, this was a club that had better points difference with the club behind them, so Arsenal inconsistency makes me to have a doubt about their winning of the premier League this coming season. As for United, it's too early to give them such credit, this guy are still trying to stand on their feet.

You do have a point, I won't be surprised if Manchester United struggle next season because of the increased number of competitions they will be participating in. It will be difficult for them to have consistency throughout the season while playing numerous competitions but then their performance will be down to the coach, how he handles the team and manages the players in such a way that they are not over worked.

I'm not entirely sure if Carrick can take them down the road smoothly but with his inexperience I doubt if he can do it perfectly. They played well under him last season but this season is different, they played once a week last season but now they will be playing 3 times a week which will be extra work for them.

No one doubts Xabi Alonso ability but as you said when he comes to the Premier League it means he is ready to compete with other great coaches and there is the time to prove who is worthy of being called the best coach, we will see after the season starts. Now what makes me wonder is whether Xabi Alonso will target some new players or just rely on the existing players? we know Alonso is not a coach who spends a lot of money but I guess the situation is different in the Premier League, right? Yeah, the tight competition forces clubs to prepare an adequate budget.

So far, Tottenham and Manchester have been the teams that have spent the most money in the transfer market. Tottenham has been the most aggressive so far. They’ve already signed
- Sandro Tonali from Newcastle
- Mateus Fernandes from West Ham
- Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton

And it looks like that number will continue to grow.

Meanwhile, Manchester City has broken the record for the most expensive domestic transfer by signing Elliot Anderson reportedly for 116 million pounds.

Other teams are currently making similarly aggressive moves. And I think next season in the Premier League will indeed be an even more intense one, with even more surprises.

My doubts do not boil down to Xabi but to Chelsea because looking at the history of the last few seasons Chelsea have always decided to reshuffle in a quick time while Xabi is used to making the process go step by step. He has felt the failure where the scheme that he wants to do slowly actually makes him not too well regarded and this may be a condition that will happen again later for Xabi and Chelsea.

If Chelsea cannot understand the process like the last few seasons then it will be very difficult for Xabi to develop the rhythm of the game but when Chelsea are ready with the process and give Xabi flexibility in managing his squad then the opportunity for Xabi to succeed becomes bigger.

Xabi Alonso will get all the support he needs in the transfer market if he wishes to make some new signing, but as you have said already, the competition in the league is massive,so he can't afford not to strengthened his Chelsea team. Nicholas Jackson and few other players that has returned from their loan spell looks like a new signing,  so I believe that if he is going to add more players to the team, it's going to be in defence, like a replacement for cucurella and one or two experience center back that can bring maturity and quality to their defense. I expect him to do well at Chelsea because he is a manager that knows what he is doing and is very good tactically.

There is no any way Manchester United will stand a chance to win the Premier League next season, I'm not seeing the chance a season after this one until I see what they have to play. You can't match the performance of Arteta in his first appearance with that of Carrick, it's not possible. Arteta didn't waste anytime to make Arsenal climb the second place with the players, Carrick did but it was toward the end of the league when everyone were tired.

Many coach has done this pattern, even Amorim did the same, he was the best man that elevated Manchester united after their horrible seasons but the later performance was very weak, he was sacked too and now Carrick has become their true man. Let's see how this season moves with the team as we have seen the Teilesmans he signed recently, I hope it favours him and the club and hopefully the faith of Amorim doesn't meet him too.

For a club who almost saw themselves relegated, I believe they should be ruthless both during transfer window and also when the season kicks off. I believe they will still add two to three more players to ensure they have a competitive season under De Zerbi. They have not just signed players, these names above listed are quality players.

If they can successfully sign Savinho, that'll definitely be a good deal for them. The Brazilian was once regarded as a very good forward who has the potentials of becoming the best winger in England bit because of limited playing time, he's rarely talked about again. If he comes to a top club like Tottenham and gets the opportunity of re-establishing himself, I think he'll do everything possible to do that. I want to see Tottenham return to their best next season under Roberto Di Zerbi

Italy and Pep doesn't feel like it fits in my mind. Because Italy is a nation of defenders, been like that for 40 years, not recently.

So the idea that Pep would go there, would not work that great because Pep is not a defensive coach, he is a tiki-taka and pressing coach, he likes to keep the ball at his team, and pass, until they find a score, if you have the ball then the other team can't score.

So a team that likes to defend, and counter attack, with a manager who likes to attack and not defend, would not fit together.

Then this probably will mean Rashford to stay at Manchester United for next season at least... Normally Barcelona would get him but they want a loan move again. However they can't convince his team this time I assume.

Carrick might also have plans for him though. After seeing his last season performance despite being a rotational player, Carrick might be convinced to give him another chance. But it is Rashford we are talking about and consistency is always a doubt!
