Some will actually start calling this move a huge mistake and sincerely you cannot blame anyone from doing because it’s still absurd that we see players around his age of 26 years still making this kind of moves. The problem with this move is that the club might simply need him for just two to three seasons and then they release him like we see them did with younger players like John Duran and if things like this happens then the player still has ample of time left to play active football but that isn’t effective because most European clubs actually do not easily accept them back again and that’s how their careers end prematurely.

Seriously this is one those signings Barcelona did under the former sporting director, this is one of the Neymar money wasted and the ones which send them to their current state of financial difficulties. It’s actually a reflection of wasted investment because the player has never settled down a club for 4 seasons now since this move happened

I don't blame Francisco for moving to Saudi Arabia, as a players they all have their individual dreams but life is not straight, not everything you wish that you always get. You see that Barcelona, they are bad club and I will not wish any player to go there. The was the same way Ansu Fati was loan to Monaco and end up been sold as to them, the same way Francisco was sold to the club Sporting, did well there and now going to Al-hilal for another adventure.

If Barcelona had kept them, I don't think any of them will want to be in such a great club and want to leave but they signed them as regular player only to be bench and when they see that pressure has build up, they loan them out for money and then the player end up in another club. It's kind of tactical business for clubs rather than building a tactical team and it's killing players.

That is a statement hijack from Chelsea to their London Rivals (Arsenal)
It will not be the first time that Chelsea are hijacking a transfer that Arsenal look to be the leading team, they did so also when Arsenal was linked to Mudryk and how did that turn out? That hijacking move from Chelsea then forced Arsenal to go for Leandro Trossard and we all know that he turned out to be the better player at the end of the day. This Chelsea's hijack for Morgan Rogers will just put more pressure on Arsenal to now go for a better player than he, so it doesn't spoil anything for Arsenal as it may also turn out to be the best option for them at the end of the day because for a player like Morgan Rogers I often wondered where he was going to play for the Arsenal team.

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the signing of Morgan Rodgers.

A bid of £117 million was accepted by Aston Villa, although the deal is still in the process of being finalized.

He was mostly linked to Arsenal all through the Transfer Window, he has rejected Arsenal and accepted Chelsea as his desired destination.

Personal terms are in place, on a 6 years contract all through to 2032.

I must say this is a statement signing for Chelsea Football Club.

Behind the scenes, Chelsea’s moves in the transfer market have surprised many people. No one had imagined beforehand that Chelsea would want to sign Rodgers, but it turns out they did. Rodgers is a great signing for Chelsea, and at £117 million, I don’t think he’s too expensive, given how impressive his performances with Aston Villa have been. Plus, Rodgers is a versatile player who can play in any position on the front line.

It's a culture with the European clubs not being interested in hiring the services of an aged player and which also it doesn't take much for the current club to discard them immediately their previous contract time elapses. Imho, I kind of have this gut that Salah would rather move to the Saudi pro league than anywhere near MLS in America. The lifestyle in the East and the environment and salary favours him more in the Saudi and he's definitely not gonna think twice to accept when their offer finally drops.
Mohammed Salah is still up to the standard to play for some big clubs in Europe. And I am sure that some clubs will like to bring him. But the problem will be the contract. Due to his age, clubs might likely offer a one-year deal, and his salary would have to be slashed to a large extent. This would be the price he has to pay to remain in a big club.

But he would get a longer contract and higher wage if he moves to the MLS or the SPL. They might offer him a two years and above deal and his earnings might be thesame or even higher than what he earned in Liverpool.
Age is not a problem when it comes to contracts. If you check Mohamed Salah, he is still performing very well and is even physically fit; these are what clubs consider when signing contracts. Many clubs are interested in Mohamed Salah, and they will still be willing to pay him his actual worth. Salah's performance and his activity still make him very relevant in the market; he has many options if he decides to leave Liverpool.

Given the number of years he has been in Europe, Saudi Arabia could also be a good option that he may consider, and he is going to make a lot of money if this is really his target.

Mo Salah has been one of the best player for Liverpool and now that he has left the club base on the end of his contract is becoming something to think of where he would spend or where he would find himself next season, where are we going to see him play next season?
Mohammed Salah has been the best Liverpool player in the last nine years his contribution to the Liverpool team helped Liverpool won eight major trophies, and he also won a lot of prestigious individual awards in his nine years at Liverpool. A lot of top teams in Euro top five leagues could still be interested in him, but I can't really figure out his next destination. If he still want to keep playing at the highest level of football he would likely head to Serie A but if he wants to play for money now either Saudi Pro League or Major League soccer would be his destination.

I don't think age is a problem as many players on a team are sometimes older but can still contribute to the team arguing that they are still worthy of a contract. This might be the case with Mohamed Salah who isn't too old especially since his contributions are still worthy of defending Liverpool for the next few seasons. I also wonder why this could happen to Mohamed Salah who is now officially a mainstay of another team simply because their contract wasn't extended. He has no choice but to find a sensation that makes him needed by a team that needs him. I think Liverpool's management is selfish towards a player who has won several titles for the team but doesn't renew his contract.

Currently, many players graduating from European competitions go directly to Saudi Arabia where many players older than Mohamed Salah are still highly sought after by teams. Moreover the competition in Saudi Arabia has increased drastically as many top players are flocking to Saudi Arabia. It's natural for every player to choose to compete there especially since the pay is sufficient making it a priority.

It is already a here we go for Morgan Rogers to Chelsea. A quality player and upgrade to that scum player and fraud called Garnacho.

After talks with Xabi Alonso, the tides changed immediately. I reckon, he will be a superb player for them.

If we're being realistic, there's no way for him to stay with Arsenal and get quality playing time. He made a wise choice moving forward to join the blues. I'd say this is more like money laundering. How are they splurging such insane figures, how?!

It’s a ridiculous amount Chelsea paid for that player. Morgan is a talented player but I’m sorry he’s not worth that amount. This is a player that couldn’t didn’t make the England X1 under Tuchel, he was mostly brought in as a substitute. I wonder why his price was up to the amount Chelsea paid. The two British records that were set this season in the transfer market are not worth those amounts.

Age is not a problem but this doesn't align with all players. There are some players that are gifted and can play in all league whether it's a hard one or a tough one. When Ronaldo was in Manchester united, didn't people say he is old and can't perform well, he was finding it difficult till he left for Saudi Arabia and is doing well but we know the league is the worst farmers league in history but what about Messi? We know he is different and his type is rare.

Salah is not that old to play for another club but his time in Liverpool has ended. How I wish Klopp is still their in the club, it might still favour him and the team will always want to push for him but at the same time, I don't pity him. Liverpool did the same thing to Mane he just stood their like it was nothing after all the assists he has provided for him. Now it's his turn and left before even the contract expired, wish him good luck though.

The transfer market is really taking a turn for the worse, whilst Rogers is a good player, he’s certainly not worth all that money. At Aston Villa, they have decided that if they have to strengthen a rival for a Champions League spot and for European competitions in general they might as well make them pay dearly for it.
But has Chelsea ever considered that, with all the money they waste, it would be cheaper to set up a network of scouts to find these players before paying a fortune for them??

The inflation of the transfer market is crazy and every team is taking advantage of it to hype the price of their players, Rogers had a good performance last season but he's not worth that amount, Chelsea only paid cause they were out of options and the coach needed Rogers in his team. If you're talking about not making England's first team what would you talk about Matues Fernandes that was relegated but West Ham still sold him for a very huge anount to Tottenham, it's crazy how these English teams hype the transfer fees of players.

I also think so, Chelsea management seems to have not learned from the past, they are very selfish and seem to have strong finances that make them arbitrary in recruiting players, I am actually happy with Chelsea's movements in the transfer market but if I see the very fantastic numbers I think I am a little pessimistic about Chelsea.

Out of options you said?  well it will interest you to know that there are many players out there that will give exactly or more of what Rogers will give to Chelsea at a cheaper price. Signing a player for a big price doesn’t mean the player will perform well for the club. Go to other leagues you will get good players between $60m to $80m, and this is the range I placed Rogers to be worth in the market. This is a panic buy, one that I believe Chelsea will regret.

The price is outrageous, Chelsea feels that throwing money around in the Transfer Window is going to make them get back into the To 4 or challenging for the Premier League Title.

I’m surprised this Chelsea owners haven’t learnt anything, after signing Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez for such an outrageous amount, have that been able to bring anything good for them, they haven’t been consistent in the Champions League, qualifying for Top 5 is a huge problem for them.

Paying this huge amount of money have proven to be a bad decision for them, they can possibly see how it worked for Liverpool last summer Transfer window, football is not all about throwing money all over the place.

Chelsea is destroying the transfer market, with outrageous amounts of Signings.

Isn't Morgan Rodgers that I heard Arsenal was going to sign after they had agreed a deal with Club Brugge worth £34 million to sign Christos Tzolis? Well I'm not surprised with Chelsea and Aston Villa reaching an agreement to sign Morgan Rodgers Arsenal was set to bring to Emirates Stadium, because overtaking is allowed in the transfer market, that's just what Chelsea did to Arsenal. Rogers is a good player his performance for Aston villa is evidence to this, if he can adapt at Chelsea fast and continue his good performance I think he's going to be a good asset for Chelsea.

For the big clubs I doubt they would want to consider him even if it means slashing down salary and giving him a one year contract deal, it's not impossible but it's difficult for a player of his age except for average clubs who may just want to utilize his experience by mixing him with their younger players.

The MLS or Saudi is his biggest open shot right now which is also an advantage for him because for a decorated player like him I wonder what he wants to win again at his age if not to focus on using the little energy left to make more money for retirement, which the Saudi or MLS would be willing to offer.

Of course, age isn't a problem when it comes to contracts. But as you get older, your market value decreases, even if you're physically fit. European teams will consider signing older players. While there may still be teams willing to sign Moh Salah for a high fee, they will likely be in the SPL. They're always willing to pay top dollar for star players, regardless of whether they're still in good physical condition.

At least they're no longer sign the player with no PL experience at non sense price.

Yes we all know that Alejandro Garnacho didn't do well at Chelsea but is that enough reason to call him scam? I honestly do not think so not think so. The Argentine forward was one of the most talked about talents during his days at Manchester United.  It's just unfortunate for him that he couldn't live up to expectations.
We all know how good Morgan Rodgers has been for Aston Villa, I hope he succeeds at Chelsea but should he fail, I hope we'll not label him a scam in the nearest future?

I think clubs are beginning to get used to the inflated prices, they might be worried but they have no choice cause if you don't pay up you might end up not signing your targets in a transfer window, you could see how Manchester United missed good options but Liverpool took the advantage to pay regardless of the players worth.
Chelsea signed Rogers based on his quality, he's one of the hottest player for that position and has the potential to be world class if handled by a good coach. Lets see if Xabi Alonso would help him develop better.
