I never expected he would win because his efforts are hardly seen due to the position he plays. Defensive midfielders do the dirty jobs and the strikers take the glory. I remember that Rodri's Ballon d'Or win in 2024 came with lots of controversies because most people thought Vinicius Junior should have been the rightful choice. It was believed that the Brazilian was denied the award because of his outspoken nature and his skin colour.

My choice for the Golden Ball would have been Lamine Yamal or Kylian Mbappe. But after a close look at the manner in which Rodri controlled the midfield and the manner in which he anchored that position, I think he deserves the award because he was the engine room of the champions. He has indeed silently achieved so much in his career. Congratulations to him.

Well he is a world class player but the Ballon D’or is not determined by one tournament. He was injured most of the season, he barely played in last premier league, and even the champions league and league cups. I don’t think he will even be in the Ballon D’or talks this season. Aside that also for a player to win the Ballon D’or he needs to win the league or the champions league.

Overall spain was a better team in the World Cup because of him, he gives them total balance and control in the tournament. He deserves the goalden ball.

It's also disappointment how Milan didn't sell him when he was at peak. If he's leaving from Milan last season, he might able to retain his top performance.

The beginning of the 2023/24 season was the perfect time for him to leave the Club.
I remember telling a friend that he would fit perfectly well at some English clubs, although his price wouldn't be anything less than €70-80M. Its not matter reach personal verbal agreement deal with the players without deal with their club difficult for Yan Dionamde moving to PSG next season, after impressive performance with RB Leipzig last season and promising perform at World Cup make Yan Dionamde become most interested players to sign. PSG is one candidate team too close for negotiating with Yan Dionamnde but his club RB Leipzig won't reach deal yet if transfer fees under 100 million euro.

Leipzig always welcome for player leave the club but if can't reach about fees transfer I think difficult for Yan Diomande for joining with PSG next season, I don't think too high or expensive if Leipzig want fees transfer up to 100 million euro.

There’s a new rumour doing the rounds that Arsenal also seem to be  showing an interest in Yan Diomande. If that’s actually the case, then Leipzig really have the upper hand , as they’ll have even more reason to drive the price up. I’m not really sure whether 100 million is a fair price or whether it’s a bit too much . He certainly is a young player with decent talent, and he indeed stood out last season , but he still lacks experience and it remains to be seen whether he can perform just as impressively (or even better) if he  moves to top leagues such as the Premier League and La Liga.

Look, I get why you're mad, but honestly, Rodri totally earned that Golden Ball. The guy was an absolute beast in the midfield, barely made a single mistake, and he's the main reason Spain took the trophy.
Meanwhile, Messi was basically invisible in the final against Spain. He actually had fewer touches of ball than the Argentinian goalkeeper, so arguing for his MVP award makes no sense after that performance. If anything, Kylian Mbappé scored 10 goals, equaling Gerd Mullers record, and probably deserved the Golden Ball way more.

Rodri didn't win this award based on a single match. He received it based on his overall performance throughout the tournament. I think he was the most important player in Spain's midfield. I believe he deserved it completely. He went through a long injury period and didn't play for Manchester City for almost a year. Despite this, his performance at the World Cup was fantastic. Regarding his contract, it was reported that Manchester City offered him a contract extension, but Rodri has not yet agreed to it yeah he will consider it after the holidays.
