https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-16002151/Maxence-Lacroix-undergoes-Chelsea-medical-WINDOW-WATCH.htmlI saw this news this morning and I never thought that this deal will later happen, because maxence LaCroix put in a very poor showing against Spain in this just concluded world cup, and because he failed in the biggest stage like that, most Chelsea fans are kicking against it because they feels like he cannot withstand pressure when pressure mount. I just hope he successfully proves all the Chelsea fans wrong that doubt his ability, just because of a single match, but I am not that convinced by him either. Guys what's your take on this deal?

Guys what's your take on this deal?
Hi Finebone, I think that, as is often the case, Chelsea walk into a supermarket and buy things at random that they might not actually need; in essence, they’re gambling on players. Just look at the myriad of players signed over the last five years, most of whom have been a massive disappointment and have been given away to other clubs, there was talk of over a billion pounds, which is an absurd numbers. Unfortunately, this is how American style management works in sport: little loyalty to the club and a focus on immediate results, but football isn’t the NBA.

This player would be a big win for Arsenal that's if the Gunners are going fully for him, it will be like having another Granit Xhaka in their squad again, but the question is, why is it always difficult for the Gunners to have good players? It is either they turn them till it is almost the end of the transfer window, honestly the Gunners are always finding it hard in the transfer market. It's Arsenal's pattern to use the whole transfer period negotiating instead of making a once and for all deal. This is why they are finding it difficult to get players they want. They don't want to overpay the way other clubs are doing. That was how they lost the Morgan Roggers deal few days ago to Chelsea. Other clubs will just pay the first price, get the player they want and move on. Arsenal know what they are doing because it has been working for them. Most of their signings usually take time but made sense at the end of the day. They don't compete aggressively with other clubs in pricing. The ideology is to get a player that fit into their system no matter how long it takes and if the selling club overpriced, they back off.

Pep Guardiola has declined the challenge of coaching the Italian national team, citing his desire to focus on his family. But I know his refusal is quite reasonable, considering that Italy has failed to qualify for three World Cups in 2018, 2022, and 2026. If Pep Guardiola were ever interested in coaching a country, which country would be a good fit? England? Spain? Considering Germany is coached by Jurgen Klopp and France by Zidane, it would be great if Pep Guardiola also took part in the next World Cup.

I have no doubt he'd like to coach the Spanish national team, but since de la Fuente is playing brilliantly with the Spanish national team, I think it's clear he won't leave his position. We're now seeing other national teams inviting coaches from other countries, like England did with Tuchel, and there are many other examples. So I think Pep is also waiting for an offer from a top team.

I know that this deal will happen because Chelsea need defenders are they want some players to leave so that they can build another strong squad, Chelsea are very desperate about signing the player even if he had a bad game in the World Cup, after the game against Spain some Chelsea fans are saying the club should not sign him because he is not that good as they expect from him and when he came in as a substitute when Saliba got injured that is when Spain started scoring goals,. The guy is very good and if it is not good Chelsea will it sign him for more than 50 million, Xabi Alonso also want the player because having him and Colwill is going to balance Chelsea defense, Chelsea want to sell Disasi, Badiashile and Chalobah because it has been a seasons those guys have not been consistent in their performance to help the club to win a trophy.

But yeah, it’s really a shame if he’s actually turned down the offer to coach the Italian national team. I just read a few news articles to confirm the story, and yeah, it seems he does have personal reasons that he simply can’t disclose. If he turned down the Italian national team, then maybe he wants to coach another national team. And I think the English national team would be a good fit, too, since that team has consistently failed to win the World Cup and other European competitions for a very long time. Perhaps under Pep Guardiola’s coaching, the English national team could win a title again and regain its former glory. But, well, the English national team already has Thomas Tuchel.

I love what Paolo Maldini is doing to see that the Italian national football team take it place of pride in world games again. It so embarrassing that Italy has to miss the world cup consecutively After Paolo Maldini has signed for the Italian national team, the search of a new manager must have gained speed. Ancelotti and Guardiola are both great names of course. But I wouldn't expect Ancelotti to leave Brazil in such a short time. He can only recommend someone else to them. When it comes to Guardiola, we never know... He is free agent now and we don't know if he will find a club of his choice soon. I hear Pep Guardiola has reportedly rejected the Italian football federation offer sighting personal reasons and the need for rest for his rejection. Is possible Pep is still affected by the separation with his former wife. Andrea Pirlo is who could be the next available choice for the job. But many fans are skeptical of his ability to stabilise the Italian team and bring them to top performance again. If England had kept Southgate in charge for this tournament as well, i think they would have reached the final. If Pep took over, the national team would once again have to adapt, the players would need time to get used to his system, and everything else that comes with it.Managing a national team is very difficult, no matter which one it is. The Italian national team will start producing results when the domestic league reaches a higher level than it is now. That will take time, and i don't think Pep could do much to change that.

It is either they turn them till it is almost the end of the transfer window, honestly the Gunners are always finding it hard in the transfer market.
The reason Arsenal is having trouble signing players might be that they aren’t bold enough to make high offers or anything like that. But I don’t think that’s always the case. Last season, we saw a much more aggressive Arsenal in the transfer market; they signed many players at the time for fairly high prices, players like Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Zubimendi, and others. Perhaps the situation is simply changing, and they’re just making adjustments. It could be due to financial issues, or it could be a matter of negotiation strategy. In this transfer window, Arsenal has already signed three new players and promoted one player from the Arsenal U21 team. The three players they’ve signed so far are - Piero Hincapie - Christos Tzolis - Illan Meslier. And, of course, Arsenal will still be targeting a few more players, including Bruno. My fear from what you said is that, they shouldn't sit back and relax just because they have won the EPL title and is over, no, I still need that aggressiveness in the market at least they should let some players that are not relevant to leave and bring in some solid legs. Next season will be tough because we have some stubborn clubs that are only playing the EPL games, FA Cup games and the Carabao Cup games so when they need to acquire some important points and they need some of these things like Chelsea it will be difficult. They need to balance any spot that isn't strong enough. So getting Bruno Guimarães is still good and Arteta shouldn't stop there, the Gunners have the funds to get like one or two more players.

A game can’t define a player, for those that watch the premier league every week knows how good LaCroix is, he is strong, calm and composed, it really a very good signing for Chelsea, and also he is 26 years old. I have been a fan of LaCroix, even before Chelsea made a move. Under Xabi Alonso I believe he will do well. The deal was finalized a little above 50 million pounds. Now I believe Chelsea will focus on outgoing players. Not just Chelsea but Arsenal were also in the Race to get the 26 years old defender, he has really proven to be a very good defender in the premier league. Now let see if Chelsea and Xabi Alonso can make him a world class player.

I agree with you because sometimes in a single game, almost all players experience a situation where they can't contribute to the team, but we can't define their quality as poor based on just one game. LaCroix is still quite young and has a long way to go, so I'm confident that under Xabi Alonso's guidance, he will become a great player, as we know Xabi Alonso has the ability to do so. A price of £52 million is still considered standard for a young player with his abilities because at Crystal Palace LaCroix's abilities were very promising and he has the ability to duel in the air.

Arsenal is speculated to be looking for more centre-backs. But I don't know why they are doing so though. Because they already have 4 centre-backs in their squad. Saliba is injured I know but is it that serious though? But they are doing a great work by trying to finalize the Bruno Guimaraes deal. He is an amazing midfielder who showed a great effort in the PL last season too. They will have an incredible squad depth in the midfield with this transfer.

So I understand the sentiment of Chelsea fans that he might not be good at withstand pressure if they are judging him by his world cup performance alone. Will he improve the Chelsea center back position? Yes I believe so because they don't even have anyone that is as good as him aside collwill, but until I see his performance in the Chelsea jersey, I wouldn't be too sure if he is going to be a reliable option at the back or not.

Of course, he would choose Spain if he had the opportunity to coach the national team, it's his country, and he understands Spanish football culture better.. furthermore, with the support of great Spanish players, his chances of winning the World Cup could be significantly higher than if he coached another team. but that's another story, because right now, what we know is that Pep is focused on himself and his family. so, that's not his priority right now. we just need to wait until he's more prepared and decides which team he will coach.

Refusing to coach Italy because the country failed to qualify for the World Cup several times—to me, that’s not a real reason for turning down the job. Perhaps Pep Guardiola wants to coach a Spanish team, so I can accept his reason for wanting to spend more time with his family. Zidane did the same thing after ending his tenure with Real Madrid. He received many offers to coach teams in Europe, but his reason was to focus on his family. Ultimately, France brought him on board. Pep Guardiola coaching England—wow, that’s a decision that makes us quite happy. If it’s a good fit, then Pep Guardiola is absolutely the right choice to coach England. Pep Guardiola has spent a long time in England with Manchester City. Ten seasons in the Premier League is certainly no short time, and he surely knows which players to include in his best squad.

I can't really tell but one thing to look at is how was his performance throughout the tournament was he that bad? Or they just want to use one match to decide his performance, because the least I know throughout the world cup I can't really point out a player that was all 100% or even 50% his form when facing the Spanish team in the just concluded FIFA world cup, so they should at least give him that benefits of doubt, and again Chelsea fans should know that they are not the price at this point in time, the players are, they least Chelsea can do now is to sign whom so ever that wants to join them, because not all players that will be willing to play for a team that is not in the UEFA Champions League competition.

Pep Guardiola refusal to coach the Italian national team makes sense because Italy is at its lowest point after failing to qualify for the World Cup three times in a row. The reason for wanting to focus on family is a subtle rejection from Pep Guardiola, as a professional coach, he understands the current condition of the Italian team, the project there is like rebuilding the team from scratch, it takes at least 4-5 years to raise Italy back to the highest level, this kind of situation is very unsuitable for Guardiola who wants results and full control. In my opinion, Guardiola is the perfect fit to coach the Spanish national team and makes the most sense because he doesn't have to adapt to the culture and tactics anymore. He just needs to polish the Spanish squad because the players and tactics already have strong chemistry. England is also a good choice for Pep Guardiola because most of the players already understand his style of play. Managing England will be a huge challenge for Guardiola as the team has not lifted the Euro and World Cup trophies since 1966. If he manages to break the curse, he will become a legend who will always be respected and perhaps his name will be immortalized like Guus Hiddink after successfully leading South Korea to make history in the World Cup.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Chelsea, in my opinion, are teams with large squads. Arsenal, on the other hand, will want to acquire new players as part of their long-term plans and at least make changes in some league matches. Rivals, especially teams playing in relatively easy leagues like Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, rotate their squads considerably in league matches. This allows them to save key players for the Champions League. Perhaps Arteta has a similar plan in mind.

The Italian managerial position is open for any good coach to take over since they have been struggling and the worse is missing out on the world cup two times in a row and it has been a thing of concern. Yet the Italian federation has called on several coaches to take over but manager like Pep Guardiola has turned down that offer. Imagine Andrea Pirlo as the next candidate for the job, can he do better than Gattuso if given the job?
