No disrespect to pirlo but I don't fancy this move by the Italian FA, because being a successful player does not guarantee that he is going to be a good coach for the Italian national team. With what they have suffered so far by not qualifying for the past two world cup edition, they should be going for some that has made a name for himself in coaching, someone that will guarantee and improvement, like pep guardiola or another top experience manager, not pirlo that is still a baby when it comes to coaching.

Gattuso that was handling the team has been an average coach before he was sacked, but instead of them to look for an upgrade to gattuso, they went and brought in pirlo that gattuso is even more better than. Though I might be wrong with my sentiment, and I hope he can prove me wrong, but I am very disappointed in the Italian FA because this is not the type of manager they need presently.

Like that league should be for players who wants to retire or players that doesn't have any other options to showcase what they have, but now how can he make himself known? It's a shame but I think every player has their own choices and of course his move to the Saudi Arabian team was because of money, there's nothing else that can be associated with a player that young except that he went for money and on the one hand I think that's not wrong because everyone has their own life choices and maybe for Summerville it was important enough for him to be able to get more money.

That's the thing, football has now become all about money to the point that players don't really consider themselves to be known and all that but money, high pay has eaten the love of the game off of them. Not saying that money shouldn't be considered but common, this player is just 24 and hasn't played half of what some of the oldest player in football has played. I was expecting him to move back to the EPL or another league not a place that he'd be hardly noticed because at the World Cup he did his best for his country and we all saw the effort he gave out for his team. Well, is his decision like you said, good luck to him.

There's nowhere it's written that SPL is for players who wants to retire. SPL is open to both young and old players but it's the player choice to move to SPL or not. We all have our personal decisions to make.

Congratulations to Andre Pirlo, he was finally appointed as the head coach to take the Italian national team to the next level, I hope he succeeded and make the team proud because he is a legend among the players that brought victory of the 2006 FIFA world to Italy, and his little coaching experience with other clubs as well as with Juventus can help him to make the team proud again.

I knew both Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti are not going for the job because Ancelotti is already with Brazil and he feels happy there, while Guardiola will not settle for such team that will not have the opportunity to spend money in signing players.

I don’t know if it’ll be the right choice, but I hope Andrea Pirlo can lead us back to the next World Cup.

Somewhere in one of my previous posts, i said that the Italian national team needs time to get back on track. When you look at the league in general, it's no longer at the level it used to be, and there are no longer Italian players who can make a significant difference.In my opinion, no matter who becomes the next coach, it will be difficult to achieve any meaningful results. Leipzig is too much because Real Madrid has offered a very high price but they still ask for more, it is really unethical in my opinion especially a player like Yan Diomande will not be able to be maintained for too long because of course he definitely wants to go to a top European team that allows his career to develop further and of course Real Madrid is one of those teams, regardless of his wishes but it is very likely that Yan Diomande will go to a better team so the management should be realistic.

Huh I thought the tumor about Pep would come true but it turned out not to remember at this time Pirlo was the one who succeeded for the Italian national team.

But looking at the career stats in Pirlo coaching I think this is too much of a rush for Italy to decide because since 2020 Pirlo coaching I don't see a buzz that really looks good enough for me. Even though he was at Juventus but that doesn't prove anything.

I think the players should have had more respect for Gutuso, too. Gutuso is a much more temperamental player coach, and he couldn't  motivate the players. As for Pirlo, I think he could use a more lenient approach. I don't know if his authority will be enough here, and the Italian national team is looking weak right now. We see that after several coaching changes, nothing has changed at all. And I think Guardiola also had a reason for turning down the Italy coaching job, because he understands how difficult it will be to pull them out of this crisis.

Pirlo will command huge respect from the players, I think he’s have a good chance of making Italy competitive again.

Italy have been so bad though for a long time. They won the Euros and then just imploded. I hope to see them doing well again soon.

In that book, Pirlo wrote a famous saying "Football is played with the head, your feet are just tools" and it is true with legendary players who think about what to do several seconds before the ball comes to them so that they can make opponents surprising.

Italy can play well with ball possession as they show in Euro 2020 but hosted in 2021 with Roberto Mancini as their head coach. In this project leads by Paolo Maldini, Italy want to build up at least 10-year plan, starting with youth players from 12 to 13 ages, and they want to gain success next 10 years. Pirlo did not begin with youth Azzurrini teams but he had experience by managing Juventus in Serie A and from his player career.

If De La Fuente who was sacked by Alaves could succeed with Spanish youth teams before doing this with their national team, I believe that Pirlo with his brain and experience can bring success to Azzurri.

There are reports that they met with the former Manchester City coach for three days, promoting the national team's vision. To manage a club isn't an easy job to do at all; the pressure, and the criticism that come along with it aren't child's play.
There's a need to balance a career job and family matters despite the fact that your job is what is bringing in the money. And you know, the last two seasons were really hot on Pep Guardiola in his managerial role at Manchester City when they were not getting the usual results.

Therefore, the Italian football management team or board should find another manager capable of managing their national team since Pep has refused the job offer.

Summerville actually still has a long future ahead of him in his soccer career. And he should have stayed longer at West Ham so he could deliver better performances. If he had been able to perform better for West Ham and even help the team return to the Premier League then I’m sure he would have received an even better offer that reflected his value. But it seems he was too hasty in deciding to move to Al-Hilal. I personally think that Summerville isn’t thinking about the long-term future of his football career by prioritizing money over his career. Perhaps he’ll have a long career only in the Saudi Arabian league if he can deliver solid performances. But if he ends up playing inconsistently with poor performances then I think he’ll lose his future in football. I also think that joining a Saudi Arabian club is usually reserved for players who are past their prime. And some of them are simply aiming to continue their soccer careers before retiring. I think it’s seldom for a football player who plays in the Saudi Arabian league to move to top-tier leagues again or even highly competitive leagues like those in Europe.

Unexpected thing from Arsenal if they're approving the move for Vini. It's such a huge upgrade after they sold Trossard to Besiktas. We know how good Vini with his endurance and dribbling. Having him will give ease to their job when they fight a low block-team next season. The problem is that whether Vini is keen to go to London. I know he's not yet reached

My friend, Italy has missed out on three consecutive World Cups, not two.
Spalletti, Mancini, and Gattuso were at the helm during the qualifying stages for these tournaments (I’ve listed the most notable ones).
These managers failed to achieve success. If this has been the case across the last three tournaments, I don't think the problem lies with the manager. For instance, why did Pep turn down the offer? He must have had a specific reason for doing so.
I don't know if things would change if Pirlo took charge, but I do know one thing for sure: Italian football has been in decline since the early 2000s.
And this has had a negative impact on the national team.
