£90 million for Martin Zubimendi? Unless Chelsea now have surplus funds and are looking for ways to spend them because I honestly do not think that the Spain international is worth such amount of money.

If not for the high inflation in the transfer window as of today, Zubimendi is not supposed to be signed for anything above £40 million. Even if he joins Chelsea today, he's still not going to be a regular starter at the club so why should they splash such amount on a player that'll spend most of the season playing from bench?

Martin Zubimendi is not worth €90 million but due to his impact for Arsenal last season, I will say that he is worth close to that amount. Besides, Arsenal said they are not in a hurry to sell him which mean that any team that wants to sign him will not go below that release clause. If no club is able to sign him and he makes more impact in Arsenal this season, his release clause will still increase more. He is still valuable at Arsenal so if they sell him for that amount, it's a plus for Arsenal and if he still remains in the team, he will still be productive. Why do you think that he won't be a regular starter if he joins Chelsea? Do you mean that if Chelsea signs him for that amount they will be keeping him on the bench? No they can't except if an injury happens. You need to understand that after Spain won the World Cup, almost all Spanish players market value increased.

And it is done, no how would Barcelona manage since Ferran Torres has finally joined PSG? For now no striker is yet to join Barcelona but many fans are still hoping on Alvarez...
As expected, I knew that Ferran Torres will not stay in Barcelona because they don’t value him in the past, they usually give him playing time, they used as an alternative striker when they have no one to use, and any player will want to be valued, so since they don’t value him that much, now that he scored the World Cup winning goal for Spain, they now wanted to convince him to stay, but PSG was very serious and the player wanted leaving, so he left for PSG.

Congratulations to Ferran Torres, I wish him a successful are we at PSG, they are the world champions right now across Europe, they won the Champions League back to back, he is in a right place to prove himself more.
Barcelona need to do everything to sign a striker, if Alvarez didn’t workout, they should find another striker because they don’t have any option.

Ferran's transfer hasn't been officially confirmed yet, though reports suggest an agreement has been reached between the clubs.
According to reports, the transfer fee is set at 50 million euros. That amount seems low to me.
I also don't quite understand why Ferran was so keen to leave.

Now, Barcelona will be forced to sign a forward. Alvarez is frequently linked with Barcelona, but he isn't an out-and-out striker.
Osimhen comes to mind.
I occasionally hear that Barcelona is interested in Osimhen. If Barça wants him, he will go there.

I wil repeat my self.

It's  either they play without  a traditional 9 or they can use Raphinha as a false 9. I do hope it works but it’s i have a strong  belief that it is better than having ferran torres as a starter.

The only thing i will mis him for is being a perfect sub in crucial games  but overall he's somehow average or he just doesn’t fit into laliga sys.

Don't  be surprised if he picks up differently in PSG , Dembele  did same thing.

Football is one of the game that can never be predicted so easily,  from are far many my believe he will not maintain consistent performance in PSG but to our greatest surprise he may become a very important figure over there in PSG.
The like of Antony left Manchester United with a very poor performance but became a very interesting player at Real betis, same also was Dembele when he left Barcelona look at him now everything has changed  for good.

For now i think it will be of more importance if Barcelona push for the landing of a good striker since they have lost all in this transfer window and Raphinha can not do the job of a front man because he has are lot of responsibility to cover in that team.

How will Barcelona manage their attacking position if this guy Ferran Torres finally joins the current CL champions? Since they don't have Lewandowski in the picture Ferran should be next in line to continue from where the Poland striker stopped, although Torres has been the man at the front before Lewandowski came but how would Barcelona manage if they lose Ferran too? What's their next option?
I’d be surprised if this transfer actually goes through. After all, Barcelona hasn’t signed a replacement for Lewandowski yet. Torres is currently Barcelona’s only striker. But if Barcelona sells Ferran Torres to PSG and doesn’t sign another striker, I can’t imagine how Barcelona will fare next season playing without a true striker. Barcelona’s goal-scoring output would certainly drop dramatically. Ideally, Barcelona should sign a new top-class striker to replace Lewandowski before selling Ferran Torres, if they’re truly forced to sell him.

It affect them if Torres leaves, Barcelona need to make a fast move and looking at the transfer market currently, no club is ready to let go their best striker because the replacement will be hard to get and now we have this guy leaving Barcelona it will be a big loss. From how we have seen many transfer window this kind of move will only take time and probably towards the end of the transfer market that is when such move will take place. Playing without a striker only means that Barcelona will improvise by playing a false 9 which always work for them by now that football has taken a new turn false 9 sometimes does work properly. If not for age I don't think Lewandowski would have left the club but let's see Barcelona's next move.

What the hell is is wrong with Barcelona, is this the time when they are selling their strikers when they just lost Lewandowski to Chicago fire. RN they don't have a senior experienced striker in barcelona that will assist to create proven goal scoring chances.

Torres has been in the club for sometime, he is used to the style of play there and he has been very helpful. I even heard that they let go of Araujo, person that has been so helpful to the team. And now they have been trying to get Julian Alvarez but they haven't been successful yet, and this shouldn't be a time when they should now be letting their players go. I think they are just depending on the players that La masia will produce just like they did with Yamal, Cubarsi and those other players from the academy.

Meanwhile Torres will be reuniting with his former coach Enrique. Enrique had to get Torres to the team since Ramos has left them. That's how Flick is supposed to be thinking. Enrique had to make sure attacking in PSG don't suffer because of Ramos departure. Enrique already knows the way Torres play, so it will be easier for his to use his skillset very well in PSG.

Even the way they are going about Rodri deal just make them so unserious. What is wrong with barcelona.

Ferran Torres exits from Camp Nou and I'm seeing the vast numbers of Barcelona fans jubilating because they dislike the Spaniard base on the gig of high chances he fails to convert shots to goals. And I'm also seeing a lot of people coming online and wondering what will happen to Barcelona now that they've lost their attacker, common Hansi Flick is there and we're familiar with his pattern. He knows how to change the game and make things work in his favor.

Barcelona can do well with or without a striker and any player can be converted to a top 9. Raphinha can suit in this role or even Adeyemi or Gordon. Barcelona are stable and they have no problems in the Frontline.

Madrid dominate the transfer market so fantastically that with what they have done, the automatic expectation of next season's performance demands should make a significant difference. There is no reason to complain. Unfortunately Florentino Perez forgot the position of a bum who currently cannot cover what Kroos and Modric left behind. The midfielders that Madrid currently have are still considered unsatisfactory. When the opportunity to sign Rodri arose, Madrid failed to pursue him seriously, ultimately leading him to decide to join Barcelona instead.

Not that impressed with those signings to be honest. Bernardo Silva is old, Dumfries is average, Konate is inconsistent. I don’t even know who the guy above Konate is. Also Mourinho is past his best.

Not sure what to make of Diomande, he was in high demand but looked crap in the World Cup. Cucarella is a good signing though. I don’t think it’s enough to make Real the power that they were.

Only mr. special knows this. These are definitely his demands, and i think he generally knows where and how to use these players. I don’t know how closely you’ve followed Serie A, but Dumfries isn’t an average player. In my opinion, he’s a very useful and reliable player. I don’t know what to expect from Real next season. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

I don't think Ferran Torres' departure is a big problem for Barca. My only criticism would be that he left for too little money. Barca could've made more than €50 million. Apparently there was a clause in the contract stating that if Barca had extended Torres' contract, they would've had to pay City an additional €8 million. From that perspective, this transfer provided some financial relief for Barca.

City has raised their asking price for Rodri. They're not accepting 55m, they want at least 60m. I believe Barca will finalize this transfer soon.

I read the news about Cancelo. It looks like he'll be returning to Barca as well.

Alvarez situation is a complete mystery. Atletico doesn't want to sell him, but Flick really wants him. I hope this transfer goes through. The player also wants to come to Barca. Atletico shouldn't hold out any longer.
I think Barca have to sign a great striker. Both Lewandowski and Ferran are gone, this season will be different. If Alvarez transfer doesn't go through, Barca's Plan B seems to be Woltemade. I don't think that will be enough.

I agree that having a fixed team can be a big advantage in this cup competition. The shock of losing two front line players does put a lot of pressure on the youngsters. With the lack of new ammunition, it will be very hard to run this season's games.

It's worth pointing out, though, the French giants have never won the main stage. However, loading more ordnance is imperative for competitiveness.

I'm sure Flick will find a solution to this because if we, as fans, see the shortcomings in Barcelona, then the Barcelona manager must also be looking for a solution to these shortcomings. Even signing Torres first was a mistake, in my opinion. If Barcelona decided to let him go, they should have first signed a good striker and then let Torres go. Right now, Barcelona is lacking a good striker. They absolutely have to sign a very good player before the transfer window closes.

I certainly don't get your point, so you were expecting Hansi Flick to drop Lewandowski on the bench in place of Ferran Torres?. This is one of the worst decision Ferran will take in his career. Enough of this talk of Ferran scoring the  World cup winning goal, he didn't even start the game. If he was so good, the manager would have started him in place of Oyarzabal. This is the same case in Barca, there are other experienced players ahead of him, so he is expected to be a sub.

This is the time I expected Ferran to prove himself in Barca, now that Lewi has gone, but he decided to sign for PSG to replace Dembele, Kvaratskelia or Doue, or who exactly??. I think he will still sit on the bench as usual. This is a bad choice for Ferran.

I don't know what Barca has in mind after selling Ferran, there is no trusted CF in the squad now, and Atletico has refused to sell Alvarez, but I think they might have a back up plan, maybe they will sign a better striker during the deadline if Atletico still persists in not selling Alvarez.

Only mr. special knows this.
Every player signed by Real Madrid are interesting to me but I'm still wondering who is Yan Diomande  because he just seems really expensive and I wonder why Real will spend such amount especially after criticising Liverpool f0r their interest then but knowing fully well Real Madrid spend with more cautiousness it's still surprising.

No one should forget Dumfries champions league performance two seasons back and feel he is bad, he has fallen too low after that season and he can still give up to that again.

It looks like it's now official, Ferran Torres is a new PSG player. Anyway I don't think his situation has a lot to do with Lewandowski: his contact was about to expire, Barcelona desperately need money, for them having or not having a replacement wasn't a priority, they just wanted (and needed) the money.

Confirmed by Sky Sports: Leicester City is up for sale

Thai owners of the former Premier League-winning club, popularly known as King Power, have placed a value worth £224m on Leicester City.

What you will get;

1. Leicester City's men's and women's teams, stadium

2. Men's training facilities

3. And the sister club OH Leuven

Are there any potential buyers here  Wink Grin
Obviously, no potential buyers here. lol. But Leicester's owner is taking a very wrong time to sell their club. No body will be buying this club for more than 200m valuation, though 100m seems logical valuation consider their value may come from their assets hold atm.
They will not find someone else to buy out their club, unless they offer this to the qatari investment.

Beside that all of their players are also become liability for the club. So the new owner seems have to rebuild the club from zero, because they may do mutual termination to their players.
It's interesting to wait who is gonna send an offer to Srivaddhanaprabha family to acquire this team.

Like his Leicester City Club is no longer profitable especially now in Division 3 (League One) there is a possibility that the club is not healthy operating costs and the opinion of the club is not balanced again then its Thai owner wants to sell it.

In the past, this team always scored great players, unfortunately they sold more because they saw profits over time the club became degenerate in its performance, imagine having won the Premier League 5000:1 and now having to be swayed.

The Middle Easterners might be the Saviors of this club. Grin

He took over as head coach of the Dutch team (Netherlands), not the German one. Deutsche and Dutch are different things.

I hope Xavi succeeds there. After all, he's a Barca legend and comes from the Cruyff - Netherlands - Barcelona school of thought. So he's familiar with the team's philosophy and will try to have them play a similar style of football.

Coaching a national team seems to me like a job best suited for older, more experienced managers. That's because they spend much less time with the players throughout the year and play far fewer matches. I think it makes more sense for young managers like Xavi to coach a club team and play 50-60 matches a year. That way, they can stay active and continue to develop their skills.

But i think the coach doesn't have an influence based on his age.

Also because Xavi is a player with undoubted experience as a player or in the world of football. He certainly knows how to make the best of a team. i disagree more with the fact that coaches from a certain national team go to coach other national teams. It seems out of place to me.

🚨🔴🔵 BREAKING: Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain, HERE WE GO! 💥

Deal confirmed for World Cup final hero as Barça receive a fee worth €50m from PSG.

Ferran only wanted Paris and the agreement has been sealed after being at final stages for several days. All done.

It is finally official

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/2087962977123045397

Torres was hailed as a hero after scoring his goal in the World Cup. Regarding his future at Barcelona, he said, “They need to show me their love,” effectively giving PSG the green light, and became the target of criticism from Barcelona fans for creating the impression that PSG was his dream team. Because he’s an emotional player, his performance has been inconsistent. In my opinion, Barcelona made a good decision by letting him go to PSG. 50 million euros is an excellent transfer fee for Torres. At the very least, Barcelona can be more generous in its next signings.
