In fact, the price is 70 million (60 immediately and 10 in easily achievable options) + 5 million (more difficult to achieve options), i.e. 75 million. But the point is not the transfer price, but that Barcelona will pay him 30 million a year for 4 years (extremely generous for an injured player aged 30).
You're probably completely unaware of Barcelona's financial problems and the league's restrictions if you're talking about Alvarez? I would be delighted to see Barcelona burn another 150 million on his transfer and then try to register newcomers  Grin but unfortunately Atletico are tough in their position.
LoL. I laughed saying pay him for 4 seasons, this is what kind of joke, I know Barcelona have a lot of cash so there is no need to worry, who is worried not to get injured again he can sleep for a long time later.

Come on, Atletico, don't want to be on a cheap price tag, let Barcelona make a fantastic offer again in the end this team will give up and Atletico can win big money if they continue to survive at high prices.

There's already a rumour that Lewis Skelly is unsettled following the purchase of Guimarães from Newcastle United. He has been linked with Man United and Chelsea. If the rumour were to be true, selling Zubimendi might make him change his mind and stay at Arsenal. Lewis Skelly is the future and Arsenal shouldn't lose him.

I really don't think Arsenal are going to sell Miles Lewis Skelly this transfer window, because I believe he is in Arteta's plan this season, despite the purchase of Bruno Guimaraes or Zubimendi staying or leaving.  As are going to play a lot of games this season, so they will definitely need a lot of squad depth. Miles Lewis Skelly got into the team towards the end of last season and he even had to start in the champions league final, that's to show you how much he is trusted by the manager and he has continued from where he stopped this season. I believe that whatever rumour about him leaving Arsenal is just made up by journalists to get attention,  but I do think he will be leaving Arsenal this transfer window.

So because Real Madrid didn't sign Rodri means they will not win the league or because if Barcelona signs Rodri means they will win the league? Get off your assumptions because wether Real Madrid signs Rodri doesn't mean they will win any league, Barcelona doesn't even need Rodri to win the league, they have already been doing it. At no point in time has Real Madrid been interested in signing Rodri, he offered himself and the club still wasn't interested. Last summer he did the same while recovering from injury, Real Madrid snubbed him, same this season. The club has a policy and they are maintaining such. His not a priority to either of the two teams, if he were Barcelona would have already signed him by now instead of stalling the deal this far. Other clubs are not that interested because if they were Barcelona won't have been the only team in contention, stop saying it as if, Rodri is the key to either Real Madrid or Barcelona winning the league.

Real Madrid is strong even without Rodri, of course they would have strengthened themselves and they took him anyway. Barcelona also won without Rodri but now have a more complete and stronger team. We'll see who made the best choice, i just know that Rodri is strong and knows how to play and makes people play well. Rodri rightly wanted a strong team to still be able to win.
Rodri is not a player without whom a team cannot win the title, and in the same way, Rodri is not a player who, if he is in a team, then the title of that team is guaranteed. So I don't see anything to worry about. Rodri is a good player like other good players, and if I compare it with the current situation of Madrid, then Madrid is much stronger without Rodri.
If Rodri goes to Barcelona now, then I will never say that Barcelona is now more stronger with Rodri then madrid, rather even after Rodri goes to Barca, I think Madrid is stronger, because this madrid is not previous madrid and this season will never be like last season, Madrid is now entering the title fight with new strength, where beating Madrid is not as easy as last season.

Barcelona may have signed Rodri for four years more for his experience and ability to control the field than for his performance. Ultimately, Barcelona will have to prove why they would pay 30 million a year for 4 years to a 30-year-old player. Of course, they may have a reason and maybe we will understand it gradually.

Barcelona should give up on trying for Álvarez now, it has been too long. Atletico Madrid are fighting for this player so much that I think it is excessive. Since they need a striker, they can fight for someone else who is likely to get it. Or they can try to bring in a young talent from their age group.

Rodri to Barcelona  is finally done with 65M and another 5M for (don't really care) . A bit pricey but it still close to the border line , could have been really pissed if Barcelona  pays 70M+ on signing alone . Heard he signed a contract till 2030, think he's trying to end it at Camp nou .
At that price, I think it’s still within reasonable limits, considering Rodri’s exceptional quality. Now, as for whether Rodri will end his career at Barcelona based on the contract he signed, it’s certainly too early to speculate because we don’t yet know just how great Rodri’s performances will be at Barcelona. Of course, he’ll need time to adapt to Flick’s tactical system. But anyway, as a Barcelona fan, I can’t wait to see Rodri make his debut.

You think Barcelona didn't know his worth before they bought him for €65m. I don't think he would have been relevant in Barcelona if not for the fact that he is their own, he is from Spain. He is going there because he wants and they want to make him relevant. If is his a key player in Manchester city, I'm sure they will not let him go that easily with such release clause. He wasn't with them most of the last season games and they still deliver well.

I feel Barcelona is doing misplaced priority. The fact they didn't keep Rashford still surprised me. Let's see what he is going to do there this season, the club is not that bad with what they have done in the last 2 season. What I'm not sure is who they are going to use as Lewandowski. Whether they like it or not, they need a better striker that is ready to be like him else I don't see how two wingers like Yamal and Raphina are going to win the leagues.

All that's left is Avarez, or should I say Atletico  Grin because Atletico is currently the problem lol. Just  let him go  Tongue
Hate this transfer because City is now missing one of their best player in the squad. 75m for him sounds bargain consider his quality. It seems Barcelona is trying to gamble by signing 30s player like when they bought Lewandowski. So having him in the squad is finally solving their loopholes when flick ordered his team to play high-line defense.
I feel so gutted to let him go after he helped my team so much in winning fourpeat, trebles, and many more. But life must go on and good luck for him.

Beside that talking about Alvarez's possibility to go to Barcelona makes no sense when Atletico has announced he's stayed. It seems Barcelona is likely searching for his alternative.
It's hard to guess who's gonna be their target to feel the empty spot in ST position, but i see some news outlet mentioned Ayoze Perez. This 33 years old striker may be the successor of Lewandowski.

Rodri is 30, and that should be a concern to Barcelona. However, based on his recent performance, he has shown no signs that his age is affecting his performance. He played all eight games in the World Cup and delivered at his best. The Spanish player is extraordinary, and his impact on the squad will be massive. We saw his impact in Manchester City and the Spanish national team.

His recurrent injuries are also a concern, but he would undergo a series of tests before the deal is sealed. If Barcelona can have a fit Rodri for just two seasons, it will be a good investment. His uncommon creativity, tactical intelligence, winning mentality, and leadership skills are worth taking the risk.

When did 30 start becoming a concern especially to A list footballers like Rodri, Barcelona signed him on a four years deal which means he would be 34 when the deal ends, how old was Modric when he left Real Madrid? Lots of players has done well deep into 35years.
I think Rodri has a very good 4 seasons to give Barcelona and that is all they need and I think he can still even go further, Barcelona made a very good signing especially when the want the uefa champions soonest.

Rodri is currently 30 years of age, barring constant serious injuries, I think he can perform at top level for the next 4-5 seasons so a 70M+ deal for the former Balon D'or winner in today's transfer market is surely a good deal. He's played with a lot of the Barcelona players in the Spain national team so I don't expect him to have too much difficulties in settling down. I think his presence is the reason why Barcelona challenge Real Madrid for the Spanish championship this season

Only mr. special knows this. These are definitely his demands, and i think he generally knows where and how to use these players. I don't know how closely you've followed Serie A, but Dumfries isn't an average player. In my opinion, he's a very useful and reliable player. I don't know what to expect from Real next season. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Dumfries is a player who started average at Inter and was even booed at times by the fans themselves. Then, after playing with the national team and changing his attitude, he began to become more and more indispensable, starting to take the whole flank with his legs, running back and forth. he has not a born dribbler, but for his speed, his assists and his way of targeting the area, it's certainly a good shot.

Definitely a good signing, and he is certainly a very fast player. He can handle physical duels, he is quite strong physically, and i don't think there will be any problems in that regard. The only concern might be adapting to a new environment, because moving from seria a to la liga could be a challenge, as the intensity is different and la liga requires more preparation.

It would be really delightful to see Rodiro united with his teammates Pedri and Olmo in the midfield and the performance would be something that would be highly anticipated. Rodri was named the best player in World Cup competition after an excellent performance, and we would be expecting to see that effect in the Barca team this season.

At €65 million, it is quite a considerable amount for such class given how rigged the transfer market has being lately. Rodri’s mind remains with the Barca team and that is a sign that he would be putting in his all to see that this Barca team delivers the best performance.

Enzo Fernandez has returned to Chelsea to play some real football and we think he is an important midfielder for the Blues because he played a key role for the team last season. However we all noticed there were rumors at the time that Chelsea would not keep him, which led to Manchester City being interested in signing the midfielder since their team's world-class midfielder Rodri joined Barcelona for approximately 77 million euros.
Enzo Fernández is an aggressive player, I don't care about his performance for Chelsea last season, after all he only scored 10 goals out of 36 Premier League games he played. We also saw how aggressive he was in the world cup which led him to receive a red card that threw his team into a difficult situation. In my opinion, he cannot do the work Rodri did while at Manchester City.

Quote
Besides the price the Blues are asking for Enzo Fernandez is a much more difficult and expensive offer for the city giants, as you may have noticed Chelsea's asking price for this Argentine midfielder is 120 million euros. But it still seems that Manchester City's new manager Enzo Maresca is keen to work with the player again for the 2026/27 Premier League season because to my knowledge it was during his time at Chelsea that he became an influential attacking midfielder under Maresca.
€120 million is such a huge amount for Enzo Fernández, maybe Chelsea should just keep him which could be the reason they kept him at that price so that no club can accept to sign him. Maresca should forget about him and look for another quality midfielder because it will be so disappointing if they sign him and he begins to play aggressively and get red carded. I checked his stats for Chelsea in the EPL last season and discovered that he got a total of 10 yellow cards, which confirms my fears of his aggressive nature.

The worst mistake Chelsea are going to make right now is for them to sell Enzo Fernandes. If they can sell him, I don’t think they have anyone that’s going to replace him for now, and I don’t know the player which they going to sign that’s going to be so aggressive like Enzo Fernandes. Am one of the people that never wanted Enzo Fernandes to leave Chelsea. With the kind of pattern that Alonso wants to play, I feel Fernandes is just going to be useful for Chelsea.

Rodri was a key player in Manchester City, he has been their best player whenever he is fit, but his injury concern made them not to rely on him anymore since he can’t guarantee them 20 matches in a season, it is better to let him go when they can have good money while selling him than to keep him for more season and leave as a free agent.

He was at Atletico Madrid before he joined Manchester City, he have the Laliga experience, but choosing Barcelona over other choices was due to his teammates at the national team, and the Barcelona team was build, he feels like he can do better for the team now than Madrid or any other team.

Quote
I feel Barcelona is doing misplaced priority. The fact they didn't keep Rashford still surprised me. Let's see what he is going to do there this season, the club is not that bad with what they have done in the last 2 season. What I'm not sure is who they are going to use as Lewandowski. Whether they like it or not, they need a better striker that is ready to be like him else I don't see how two wingers like Yamal and Raphina are going to win the leagues.
They don’t want Rashford which I think the reason is known to them, they prefer Anthony Gordon and they signed him, he is a good player that will help them along side Yamal and Rafinha.
On the striker aspect, they are relaxed because Alvarez isn’t available for sell, they don’t want to make any mistake since we don’t have enough strikers in the market now, they are probably looking for a way to manage their attack with a force nine because the number of goals their wingers are scoring is enough for them; they can use Karim Adeyemi as forced nine since Ferran Torres’s left the team, and I think they are good to go with him.

If a very high transfer offer comes in, Chelsea could reject it and sell the player. Also, no player is completely indispensable. Therefore, a sufficiently high offer could even lead to Enzo Fernandez leaving the team. Of course, there's little time left in the transfer window, but Chelsea can find a good replacement. They just need a few days. If Xabi Alonso decides to sell Enzo, I'm sure he has a player ready on his transfer list as a replacement.

Rodri is a truly excellent transfer; Barcelona has made the best move we've seen this year. I think the price is quite reasonable for today's football, as we've seen far less quality and less important players transferred for much higher prices. After this transfer, Barcelona will be a very strong team in both La Liga and the Champions League. If they also sign a central defender, I think we could see an unstoppable team

Barcelona secured their midfield with the Rodri transfer. It was a truly excellent signing. They brought in one of the world's best players to fill a gap in their squad. While the 70 million euro fee might seem high, it's actually not that expensive for a player of that caliber. I think Rodri wanted to leave the team, otherwise Manchester City wouldn't have sold him. If you're going to leave Manchester City, one of the best options is Barcelona.

Come on, Atletico, don't want to be on a cheap price tag, let Barcelona make a fantastic offer again in the end this team will give up and Atletico can win big money if they continue to survive at high prices.
I'm  not sure the latest offer from Barcelona  but I do know it's likely above 100M because they already submitted 100M in their previous offer . That's  not the main problem now, that 150M is too much and guess what,Realmadrid  already offered Atletico same amount to hijack the deal before and it was rejected.

Now, are you suggesting they go ahead 200M as test  Grin? Don't  forget Atletico clearly mentioned that even for $200M, they are not selling Alvarez to any of their rivals  Tongue.
