Make decisions without looking back

IIRC, a few days ago Fabrizio mentioned that one of Arsenal's representatives talked with Hidalgo [Julián's agent] when he was in London earlier in the week and the offer they were hoping to get was way higher than what Arsenal was willing to give and on top of that, Julián didn't appear to be that interested in returning to England.
- FWIW, I think he'll stay for another year at Atlético Madrid, then he's going to force a move.
I think you're right about that one. I searched through Fabrizio page and couldn't find a relevant "reject" term yet but I do know he's definitely not going to be interested in going back to Enland as mentioned.. Another reliable source claimed that the president still insist on not selling him to either Arsenal or Barcelona or any other Spanish club. I am not sure which one to believe but I trust Fabrizio more.

If he stays another year , there's high chance he complete his entire contract at Atletico  unless the fans doesn't stop frustrating him (ever since he declared he's no longer interested in staying, the fans have been going wild on him). I hope Atletico doesn't mess up his career though Tongue

Kenan Yildiz was recently linked with a move to Arsenal but it seems like all talks and hopes of such a move was brought down with the statement of Juventus manager Spalletti saying it will not happen and that he is important for them and their future.
There is no way Juventus are going to sell their best player one week before the transfer market closes. That would mean giving up any chance of fighting for a Champions League spot. Without mentioning that the fans love Yildiz, selling him now would mean have the whole stadium against the property. No, no way it's going to happen.

Julian Alvarez signed a 6 years contract with Atletico Madrid in 2024 which means that his contract will terminate in 2030. Atletico Madrid have the right to reject any deal from other clubs inasmuch as the Argentine still has a running contract. However, since Julian Alvarez is already showing signs that he wants to leave, the only thing that Atletico Madrid should do is to allow him to leave otherwise he might not perform as he used to and it will result in a conflict between him and the club so in order not to find themselves in such situation, they should let go of him. If Atletico Madrid refuses to accept a transfer deal this summer transfer window, then they will be forced to sell him in January transfer window because he will not play to impress the team anymore. He didn't start Atletico Madrid match against Malaga but even though the coach said it was as a result of his fitness, it could also be that he is waiting for a move out of Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham’s transfer policy this season has been absolutely crazy. They’ve spent over £300 million to sign players. This includes their latest signing, Savinho, for £75 million, an absurd price for a player who barely saw any playing time at Manchester City last season. I see Tottenham’s transfer policy as extremely reckless because they’re buying players at unreasonable prices. Don’t they realize that this transfer policy could lead to sanctions under the PSR rules?

Furthermore, regardless of what De Zerbi is planning, it seems to me that he is held in such high regard by Tottenham’s management that they are pouring vast amounts of money into fulfilling his wishes. Yet, historically, previous Tottenham managers have rarely received the same preferential treatment as De Zerbi.
The management trusted him and they're doing everything to get the club back to where it used to be, they almost went to relegation last season,  every big need to spend to be an elite club,  is good they are giving him all he desire to succeed at the club,  he has no excuse if he didn't make progress.

After all the spending Tottenham is losing 3 nil to Brentford away, I just believe he will do better in his next game, it's so embarrassing to lose 3 nil after spending so much in the market. De zerbi must learn from this loss and prepare well in thr next game,  if he loses more games, I'm doubt if he can stay till end of the league, he has been given everything to deliver to the fans and management.

Should the management buy a player for 75 million just because they trust him? He could have been bought for almost half that price! Paying that price to someone who doesn't deserve it will never be positive.

I understand that Tottenham management is thinking about themselves now and they want to get back to a good position, but such a bad decision was never expected. 30-40 million was the maximum for Savinho, but 75 million is too much. However, if he can bring the team back to a good position through great performances, then maybe I will go back on my statement. But I will still criticize their decision, maybe many will.

I think you're trying to analyze this transfer from the wrong side: Barcelona didn't purchase Rodri with the idea to get some money back in the future; they purchased him because they were looking for that kind of player, in that role, and with experience. It's the same thing they did with Lewandowski: they knew since the beginning the Polish striker would have left for free, and they were ok with that.
What you are saying here is the actual fact. They signed him cause they need a top level player that can hit the ground running and also be strong enough to assist Barcelona in competing with Real Madrid, headed by Jose Mourinho that is a serial winner,

So if Barcelona relies on their current midfield without adding someone like Rodri in the mix, they will struggle, cause Madrid has really upgraded their team, and Barcelona need to also do the same and be in the best condition to compete in defending their championship.

Manchester City will be able to compete again, but I'm sure it won't happen anytime soon. Although he still has very strong pieces in the team, the one who guides it is missing: Maresca. I am find him a good coach, but a good part of the team was sold to him, which doesn't help him at all. Doing what Pep did is impossible and i believe that City will be able to return to what it has always been, but not immediately.
I think you'r right, I also don't think Manchester city will compete just like the times of Pep. Man city lost 14 players + Pep Guardiola in this transfer window, the City team is now full of new players and a new coach, so I think we'll see a different performance from them this season. Maresca is currently at the point of building a new Manchester city, he is a good manager, so I will be expecting something good from him, though he might not be as good as Pep, but I think with time he will return City to their best.

I see many football fans on social media saying, "could this be the end of Man city in the top flight", but I don't think so, Man city is a big club with big players, so no matter what happens, they must still be at the top. I'm counting on Maresca to do his best just like he did in Chelsea and atleast compete for the title again.

If you are asked to do a security audit and how money were spent in the club, would you allow 300m spent so quick and let the club sign a player that is benched in from another club for that ridiculous amount of 75m minus the Ads on? If the guy is a good player, he will be their first choice and not a second choice and yet they bench him. That means he is not that good and they have the mind to put a heavy release clause on him, that's a bad deal.

They are yet to buy the guy and with what the club has spent so far, they can't even win a match against Brentford. Normally, Brentford is good, they have good records in the Premier League but they don't get them this way. In the last 4 years, I can't remember the last time Brentford won Tottenham, but today they broke the course and now they are above then on the table. This is only the beginning of the season and there is commotion in the league.

Wait what.....
What are they doing like Arsenal have so many great players in the midfield spot but still they are trying to bring up some new. I didn't understand where they will utilize him to play because they already have Martin Ødegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino and even recently they brought Bruno Guimaraes but still they are trying to sign another midfield. Honestly this sounds bit awkward like what's  intentions they have......

Besides that Juventus are just Opportunist club and all the time they sell off their star players for bucks. In entire history you will see a lot of transfer where Juventus sell their own star players for just money. Pogba, Zizzo, Ibra, Vidal, Joa Cancelo etc

Though Juventus will not be playing in any European competition this season, I don't expect them to let go of their most priced talents.

They've been underperforming for the longest and for a team like that wants to finish in the top four of the Italian Serie A at the end of the season, having a squad with quality and depth is a necessity. Kenan Yildiz is arguably their best outfield player at the moment, I don't expect them to allow him leave the club when they're not sure of getting a good replacement.

I think it's actually very important for them to raise money, buy different sets of players to increase the depth of the team if they must get any slot to play in any European competition next season. Yildiz doesn't have a load of experience to project the team in that level imo.

Arsenal already has a befitting spot in the champions League so that wouldn't be a problem for him since he's a young player. It's just about the strict declaration of the club not having any interest to sell him out. He may be willing to find a safer squad for more career trophies, but who knows?

I do not like the idea of Manchester United pushing to get Balde from Barcelona. If it is not a season long loan for him, then it shouldn't work, he is another player who is always with a new injury and I do not want that for Manchester United. We should be all over Lewis Hall, his explosive pace and experience in the Premier League Competition will benefit us a whole lot.

Bradley Barcola and Mbaye are both names most likely to sign for Liverpool football club if everything goes well. They're still working behind the scenes to make it happen.

Honestly the Balde interest by Manchester United actually came as a huge surprise for me and this is not because I know was supposed to happen because even if Manchester United naturally wants him which will be justified because when fit he plays better, but for club like Manchester United which has already many players with injury crisis it is actually not a great idea to go and sign him, so I will rather they actually wait for Lewis Hall even though Newcastle are furious about the players leaving the club at the same time

I read a report of Liverpool already submitting an official bid for the signing of Yakubu Minteh from Brighton, although this deal was actually rejected which I know it’s because of fees as Brighton will most definitely press for more money since Liverpool were willing to spend more on Barcola and other wingers they showed interest in

I believe Flick is intelligent enough to understand that Pedri is too important a pawn to let slip away. Yes, its true that Rodri will be a great starter because you can't sign a player of this level and then not let him play.

That's something you can't afford to do. So Rodri will definitely start and with time maybe Flick will be able to adapt both starting players.
I don't doubt Rodri's quality, but Pedri is much younger. He's a player who can focus and do whatever any coach tells him. In this respect, Flick might want to change his game plan to have more control in midfield and not fully commit to the 3-2-5 formation, since they're often caught out of position defensively, even though he plays out of position.

Pedri is a player who provides attacking options. I think that with this configuration Flick might implement, we'll see a substantial change in Barcelona's strategy and style of play.

Considering the examples you made, I see you know very little about Juventus... I'll help you out:
- Zidane wanted to leave Juventus for Real Madrid, it was his request, and Juventus used that money to buy Buffon, Thuram and Nedved. Not a bad deal at the end;
- Pogba left because his agent, Mino Raiola, wanted to get a huge commission from Manchester United, and convinced the player to leave. That was basically the beginning of the end for Pogba's career;
- Ibrahimovic change an incredible number of teams because he always followed the money, he doesn't get attached to teams, he plays for himself;
- Vidal was wanted to leave, it was his choice, and they let him go;
- Joao Cancelo, well, I don't even know why you mentioned, a good right back when he had to attack, a terrible defender, nobody cared about him.

🚨 Manchester United and Brighton have exchanged all documents as signed it all for Carlos Baleba deal.

£65m plus £5m and sell-on clause agreement, 100% confirmed.

I can't really place it on how Manchester United are getting players I mean desperately getting players, is C. Baleba the missing piece at the club? I mean they have midfielders already without letting any of the old ones go and still they are going for this player, if you ask me I'd say they need to work on their defense and someone who can play that DM very well like Casemiro. Maino hasn't been like he used to be, his form is off the book to consider him starting at least for now and they went for the former Chelsea player Santos and he isn't ready yet,, still trying to fix himself into the game, so why add another player that needs time to adapt if they really want to boost himself up? Your take on this.

I think we should be able to agree on one thing, Baleba coming to Manchester United is a good signing because he's not just a DM like others, he comes with exemplary qualities, he's that DM that is capable of carrying out an effective role in defending the midfield and backline, he tracks back. I watch some highlights of Baleba and I must confess, he can not be seen as the missing piece in the Manchester United squad but he can be seen as DM who can win the ball for his teammates on the pitch, breakup the transitions, and he's athletic.

Michael Carrick will be able to effectively use Baleba in the Midfield because the ones he had is not doing the duties as expected. We're referring to Tielemans, Kobi Maino although I would say it's too very early to start bashing them since it's only one game played and they got humbled by Hull City. Even Andrey Santos is not seen to be a box to box midfielder, Manchester United manager, Michael Carrick have a whole lot of task to carry out at Old Trafford and this is just the beginning.

On the records, Michael Carrick just want to fix the structure area of the Midfield and the only way he can do that is trying all the midfielders in his squad until he sees who suits in the system. Although it's going to take a while before Manchester United will be able to set in and perform as the Red devils we've known them to become.

The reality for top clubs is that the concept of 11 "starting" players no longer exists. They need 15-16 starting players. Look at Real Madrid - they have an even more pronounced problem, but because the season is overloaded with games and every top-tier club is competing in a bunch of tournaments, this is the new reality. It might be hard to convince players to swallow their egos and accept the fact that they don't have a guaranteed starting spot, but if you think rationally, they should accept it - more rest, fewer injuries, longer careers.
As for Pedri, he is number 2 in relation to Rodri, but there is enough work for everyone.

I think it will be difficult for Galatasaray to sign Ismaïl Sarr because Crystal Palace wants to keep the player. On the other hand, he was not included in the squad for the match against Everton, which suggests that he is still in talks with the club. At the same time, he has also expressed his desire to play for Galatasaray. However Crystal Palace’s position is that they are only willing to sell him for a really large fee. I doubt that Galatasaray will be able to pay big money for him.

Bradley Barcola and Mbaye are both names most likely to sign for Liverpool football club if everything goes well. They're still working behind the scenes to make it happen.
Combined, the asking price set by PSG for these two players comes to around €222 million. The question is, is Liverpool willing to pay the price demanded by PSG, considering that neither player is a first-choice starter at PSG? In my opinion, it would be ridiculous for Liverpool to agree to that price. Let’s wait and see whether Liverpool will sign both Barcola and Mbaye or just one of them, since they both play the same position, winger.
