🚨🔵⚪️ Al Hilal are getting closer to Gabriel Martinelli deal done after club to club talks with Arsenal at final stages.

Fee around £50/55m discussed and #AFC prepared to accept and sell Martinelli.

Talks on personal terms ongoing, Gabriel to make final decision soon. 🇧🇷
Martinelli leaving doesn't sit well for me even if he's the kind of player that doesn't show up when it matters, missed chances and not knowing when to shot or release the ball, it happens but the Gunners need this player at least for the sake of injury or suspension, with Trossard gone I feel it will be nice if Arteta hold on to the Brazilian for this season. For me it would be better to drop Martinelli and sell Madueke.
Martinelli is simply one of the many players that didn't keep up with the expectations. If I'm wrong Jurgen Klopp once said "Martinelli is the talent of the century", that happened when he was very young, like 18-19 years old, now he is 25 years old and I don't see any particular improvement. And he had plenty of opportunities. It's the best choice for both parties.

I really think that this deal is good for all parties involved.  Arsenal wants to move on from Martinelli , which dey finally and even getting their highest money in sale of a player, AL Hilal got the players they wanted and Martinelli final moves to a club where he will definitely get more playing time,  so i think it's a win win situation for all parties involve..
On Martinelli moving I think Arsenal really need to move on from him, because I believe that the level of Arsenal project, they don't need him anymore.  I will only get worried for Arsenal if they don't bring a better replacement before the end of the transfer window, because that is definitely going to make them short of players for the left wing position, but if they bring a replacement,  then it's very a good one for the club.

If I had to make a comparison with a Real Madrid player, I would choose Modric instead of Hazard. Both Rodri and Modric are kind of slow players, both had some injuries, but due to the way they play I think age is a secondary factor. At the end Modric constantly played for Real Madrid until he was 37 years old, after that he was more on the bench. A player like Rodri could easily player other 6 years at very high level.
Yes, your comparison is spot on.
But I’ve got a slightly critical question!
Why spend 70 million euros on a player who’s now 30 years old? I realise he’d take the team to the next level, but he’s simply not worth that kind of money.
What’s more, the player’s salary is a real burden.
Have neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid ever faced this problem?
Well, they bought the best defensive midfielder in the world, which is a the top of his career. Considering his contract was about to expire I agree the price is a little steep, maybe they could have paid him 60 millions instead of 70, but 10 millions are not a huge difference at the end of the day. Juventus paid over 100 millions for a 33-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, and despite his age his performances were phenomenal.
I’m not questioning the player’s qualities – he’s truly a top-class player.
But I was looking more at the financial side of things.
They’ve spent 70 million today, but I don’t think they’ll be able to sell him for that sort of money in the future; his value will inevitably go down as he gets older, and whilst his performance might decline, it could also improve (that’s the big unknown).
Obviously, with him in the team, the overall standard of the side rises quite significantly.
I think you're trying to analyze this transfer from the wrong side: Barcelona didn't purchase Rodri with the idea to get some money back in the future; they purchased him because they were looking for that kind of player, in that role, and with experience. It's the same thing they did with Lewandowski: they knew since the beginning the Polish striker would have left for free, and they were ok with that.
I view every purchase as an investment that must pay off in some way.
Barcelona signed Rodri for over 70 million; he is already quite advanced in age, despite being a top player in his position.
But the fact remains that the 70 million has been spent, and you don’t know whether you’ll be able to recoup it – either by winning trophies or by selling him on. That’s how I view transfer deals.
I’d point out that Barcelona isn’t rolling in money, as some people believe; on the contrary, it is heavily in debt.
Of course every team buys player with the idea to either sell them for more money or win some trophy thanks to them, this applies to everybody. In this specific case, Barcelona did it for the latter. Of course they know they won't be able to sell Rodri again for 70 millions, anyway Rodri's cost will be absorbed through the years, so it won't be 70 millions forever.

It looks like Enzo Fernandez will be linking up with his Old boss, Enzo Maresca. Via Fabrizio, Enzo have finally agreed to join Manchester city, we all saw booed in Chelsea match yesterday by both the home and away fans. Chelsea says they have heard enough, if he want to go, then he can leave. Chelsea still won’t let him go for a cheap price, as they are requesting for 140-150 million pounds.

Maresca have always liked Enzo Fernandez, he was a key player during his time at Chelsea. After losing Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Manchester city need to bring in a proven midfielder, if they can get Enzo Fernandez deal done, then it will be a big boost in their midfield.
Enzo to City is unlikely to happen. Chelsea valued him 145m, which can easily buy out by City. However, his transfer is gonna happen only if Chelsea finds his replacement. As i know Chelsea approached all of good rated midfielders from various clubs, but all of them are not available.

I think they will not let him leave because Chelsea has none that can replace his position at this moment. The money alone will not him available.

Chelsea has to find a proper midfielder before they let him go. The chance for him to go to City is still relatively lower atm.

The situation is pushing him to stay in stamford bridge far longer.

In the last few hours, there are talks that it could be happening but I do not know it all, I have just seen it expressed with a good ahead greent tick on his socials.

The replacement is on Chelsea, as much as both Manchester City and Enzo Maresca are in close agreement, a deal can be strucked and I believe that should be no issues.

I really do not know who replaces him in midfield, but he has no desire to remain as Chelsea player from the look of things. My own take is that why are they allowed to spend this huge yet having the 115 rules and charges against them still. Why?!

Kenan Yildiz was recently linked with a move to Arsenal but it seems like all talks and hopes of such a move was brought down with the statement of Juventus manager Spalletti saying it will not happen and that he is important for them and their future.
There is no way Juventus are going to sell their best player one week before the transfer market closes. That would mean giving up any chance of fighting for a Champions League spot. Without mentioning that the fans love Yildiz, selling him now would mean have the whole stadium against the property. No, no way it's going to happen.
Where did this rumor come from? I’ve never even heard of it before. As far as I know, neither Juventus nor Arsenal has ever discussed a transfer for Yildiz. Moreover, Juventus has no intention of selling him. The same goes for Arsenal, they’re no longer making any efforts to sign players because their current squad is already perfect. Therefore, this transfer will likely not happen, at least not this season.

We call it misplace priority. Midfield is not Manchester united problem at the moment. They have Maino, they have Bruno and they also Tieleman. It's not a bad idea to have more back up players in every position but it is important to focus on areas that deserve urgent attention. They have gotten the young boy in addition to their squad. I look forward to seeing how he use these players and who he'll bench for whom.

Attack is where Manchester united should channel their energy to now because that's where the problem is but I don't know if they are not seeing it. I don't expect much from them if there options are Sesko, Mbuemo, Rashford and Cunha. I can't imagine how horrible things will be for them this season with what they have available to handle their striking role.

Seriously I find it amusing that most people are criticizing the signing of another midfielder for Manchester United, if the criticism where about whether Carlos Baleba is not good enough I think I will understand but the criticism of Manchester United not needing another midfielder is mind boggling because it is evidently clear that Manchester United doesn’t have a defensive midfielder even by not watching their games you will see that. The last proper number 6 that Manchester United had was Casemiro and probably the injured Manuel Urgate because the rest of the players even those newly signed are central midfielders and defensive midfielders. So yes a new defensive midfielder for Manchester United is the right decision.

Attack is where Manchester united should channel their energy to now because that's where the problem is but I don't know if they are not seeing it. Yes you are right here about Manchester United needing another attacker and to be specific it should be a center forward even though they have Zirkzee partnering Sesko but it looks like Carrick doesn’t see Zirkzee as a striker, so United should go for a new striker even if it is a low budget striker not necessarily a high profile one but it should be someone with experience because Sesko already is still developing, so adding another youngster to that is not going to help or better still they start trusting youngsters like Chido Obi

Manchester United were able to score a lot of goals last season even without Rashford, towards the end of the season they were one of the very high scoring teams because of their very good attacking intelligence I think things have just started poorly for them this season and they will surely get things clicking in their way soon enough. But some good news for them is that I have heard a rumor that Jean- Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace is being offered to them as a striking option and I think that is a very good chance for them to grab a player who is very hungry to prove himself and is very good with scoring goals.

Manchester United are also making moves for a left back and Alejandro Balde from Barcelona and Ferdi Kadioglu from Brighton are targets.

With Rodri’s current condition, they don’t buy him to resell him with profit, they buy him to help them win the Champions League and to continue dominating Laliga because they have seen clearly how Real Madrid is also signing young talented players to make their squad complete, Barcelona also used the opportunity they have to sign Rodri now that he is cheap, they don’t consider how often he get injured, all they wanted is his presence to guide the young midfielders and also make the team looks great again.

I think Rodri will likely retire in Barcelona, he is already old, no big team will consider signing him if he spent at least two seasons with Barcelona, and he will also be tired, and will like to retire from Barcelona especially if they win the Champions League.

Well, I don't think that Barcelona brought Rodri for Business because they are pretty aware that Rodri is bit elder and in future his market tag will get decline. I mean Barcelona have know it much better than that he will not even complete the break even price but still they sign him on the purpose of team improvement. Barcelona has been struggling for the last 10 years to win the UEFA Champion to title but they failed again and again. So that's why they decide to bring up some good players to make their team strong.....

However, this season is looking good for them like maybe they could bring the glory for his team. Let's see what happens next.

🚨💣 BREAKING: Carlos Baleba to Manchester United, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between clubs.

Improved bid sent today after £65m package rejected and player set to join the only club he wanted.

Baleba, new United player soon. 🇨🇲

And here we go for Carlos Baleba, how are they going to operate in that midfield for Manchester United? Well, time will tell, but is the midfield a problem for the Red Devils? 1 game 1 loss, how is it going to be like with the new addition?

This is just a classic case of misplaced priorities on United’s part; focusing on only building their midfield while neglecting their defensive side when they are obviously lacking in that aspect.

Now that Malacia is gone, Luke Shaw is the main senior option for left back but his injury record seems to be weighing heavily on him because he’s not performing well at left back position, not only him, even the other defenders too and this calls for concern.

There’s still a few days left before the transfer window closes, and before then any decision they chose to take on the left back issue they have is gonna tell whether they learnt anything from their defeat at the hands of Hull city or not.

£45m for Delap? Someone we all agree is a flop? How did Chelsea manage to convince Nottingham Forest to pay this high to get Delap?

The agent that is handling Chelsea transfer negotiation deserve a pay rise for his incredible job. If I remember correctly, Chelsea got this guy for £30m at his peak. He flopped at Chelsea but they however managed to get profit on his deal.

I hope Nottingham Forest can revive his career and get the best from him.

The English Premier League teams are trying to get stronger in the new season but then we see that many players have left the club after the new manager Xabi Alonso took charge of Chelsea. In fact if I am not mistaken, maybe more than ten players have left Chelsea this season, one of them is Cucurella, this player has joined Madrid after spending four seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Also Chalobah, Garnacho and currently it seems that English forward Liam Delap from this team is going to join Nottingham Forest and they have already reached a verbal agreement, even the fee for this player is 45 million pounds. This player only got the opportunity to play 28 matches for Chelsea last season and he only scored one goal, maybe that is why Chelsea club does not want to keep this English player for the new season.

Other than it. i don't see a good name to be signed as a secondary winger after him. yet, signing Barcola + new winger will force them to spend at least 200m before the close of late summer window transfer.

Why are they still so obsessed about this Barcola.. paying £145M is a bit crazy amount just to get him.  Hugo Ekitike they signed last season for 90M + in total is a striker too, what’s happened to him ? Is he on injury or something.

I still don’t understand why PSG is trying to sell him if he’s worth that amount .. only for them to go sign a Barcelona striker for 50M.

🚨🔵⚪️ Enzo Fernández have his green light to Manchester City as he’s open to move and re-join Enzo Maresca.

#MCFC bid to be sent soon and up to Chelsea.

Fabrizio posted this and I think Chelsea fans should be concerned about this, some days back they closed anything concerning Enzo Fernández move and now we are seeing this news, is disturbing because it looks like the Blues don't know which part to take or what to decide, for me he should just leave than making things hard for the other players because I know there are players who love to play alongside him.

This price is ridiculous but I know if they can offer Chelsea a good price above £100m, they are going to sell him to Manchester City. The deal may look not really going to work out now, but with Rodri not in that Manchester City squad, they’ll push fully for a replacement for him which Enzo Fernandes happens to be the best fit for that position.

Enzo Fernandes has been a great midfielder for Chelsea and even his performance in the World Cup will push for him to be given an offer from a top club like Manchester City. Chelsea would not mind who gets to replace him now if they’re been given good offer for the player. Enzo Fernandes move to Manchester City is highly possible especially if the player is not showing any interest to remain in the club.

In the last premier league season, he appeared in 30 different games with 1 goal and 4 assists. He also made a total of 3 yellow cards all through. In terms of his shooting accuracy, he was pegged at 44% accuracy with 13 shots on target out of the 29 attempts in the league stage. Although he did pretty better in the UEFA champions league with 5 goals in 5 champions league matches and at domestic cup level he made a memorable FA Cup hat trick against the Portsmouth to later secure a 4 to 1 goals win comeback. These are the bases to use in measuring his performance contribution to the team.

Rodri is a quality footballer, and I don't think the money they paid for him is excessive. Ultimately, Barcelona can achieve great success with this player. I'm sure he'll make a huge contribution to the team when playing alongside a quality squad.
Rodri can stay here for years; he's not too old yet. Many footballers can continue to perform at a high level until they're 35-36 years old, and Rodri can do that too Smiley

Chelsea remains the best selling club since the blue co took charge. I still keep on wondering how they manage to get 15 million profit for a player who scored just 3 goals last season. Delap prove to be a good player at Ipswich but when he moved to Chelsea he struggled to get it right, and now just after a season he his moving to Nottingham forests for £50 million with Add ons.

Forest have always have eyes for physical strikers, from the likes of Wood, Awoniyi, it shows the club like more physical build strikers. Delap is physically built, now we need to see if they can get the best out of him. With Awoniyi gone and Chris Wood not getting younger, they need a sticker, let hope Delap can give them the quality they paid for.
