I think I agree with this Arsenal fan, because the player doesn't feel ok coming to Arsenal since he's all about playing for Barcelona, the chemistry in playing for the Gunners won't be as high as when he'd play for Barcelona so why not do some business with him, getting him that amount as the fan stated then sell him off after the first season and make some gain like the way Chelsea does their business? What's your say on this?

A hidden deal with Arsenal and Barcelona? It's an interesting idea, and it could work for business. But I'm worried that if Alvarez goes to Arsenal right now and his performance drops, it could make things worse. That could make Arsenal suffer losses. Alvarez was really special in the World Cup and at Atletico, but I don't see him as a special player. He has some weaknesses like his height and being weak in aerial duels. Alvarez's condition has gotten pretty bad, so sticking around is a bad issue. I think he's no longer comfortable at Atletico. Moving to Arsenal is the best choice right now.

If his performance drops let him forget it because the Barcelona he has been crying to play for will not look at him because of how poor his performance is, so it will be better if he starts putting everything in place to impress the Barcelona board. I think you got it wrong there, he's not weak, his height has never been a problem, take a good look at Messi, Aguero, Tevez, these guys are not tall but they are causing problems to taller defenders, aerial battle they do win it and coming to the man of focus Alvarez, he has every ability to get goals for any club he plays for. If he plays for Arsenal I'll always say this that the player will find it hard to put in his best, like someone need to talk to him because the way he feels at this point is so much different from when he joined Atletico Madrid.

Alvarez linking to Arsenal has always be going on, rumours has it that athletic Madrid want a swap from Viktor gokeres in place of Alvarez ever since that Arsenal have be monitoring Alvarez for so long, but I haven't heard about such thing that you just said about taking care of Alvarez family before he can join arsenal I think Alvarez has already made his mind that he wants to leave atlectico Madrid and he has two club that is after him which is Barcelona and Arsenal but arsenal deal is pushing higher every day than Barcelona if Arsenal where to sign this man I think arsenal we be great once again in this season.
I don’t know why Arsenal don’t want to rely on Victor Gyokeress, he is not a bad striker, he is a very good striker, but Arsenal is used to playing without a striker, so they’re not feeding him with passes, he have to come down and play without the team then use his strength to make way for himself before scoring goals and he, he recorded above 20 goals in all competitions which is not a bad start for him, he can improve if he is given playing time, but it seems like they wanted Alvarez over him, and the deal isn’t what we’re expecting because I am very sure that even Alvarez will struggle to get enough goals for Arsenal.

I'm not surprised that there are rumours that Gabriel Jesus will likely leave Arsenal this summer.

He's not even in the top two of Mikel Arteta's options at the moment so I think the best thing to do is find another club where he'll get more playing minutes

He came to Arsenal with so much potentials and would've had a better record if he wasn't constantly injured.

He's still got the quality but the pace to trouble defenders like he used to I don't think is there again.

Gabriel Jesus is however a player with appreciable techniques. There has been a drop in his performances and actually if he wants to stay at Arsenal i think he wants to do it only because knowing the strength of this year's team he knows he can probably add trophies to the list of winners, but he also knows that by doing so he will lose playing time on the pitch.

Worst transfer of the season.

Galatasaray reach agreement in principle to sign Rafael Leão.

Leão accepted Galatasaray better personal terms proposal today, after Aston Villa couldn't come up with a better terms proposal for the Portuguese winger.

AC Milan to receive package in excess of €45m with add-ons and sell-on clause also included.

Now you have these two in the same forward line. Two of the more entertaining forwards from Serie A over the past four years, reunited in Istanbul.

The Champions League though. I get nervous actually, in a good kind of way? Last season, Galatasaray enjoyed a successful UCL season without him. Leao into a left channel where he gets actual space. Leao quietly had his best shot-creating season statistically last year. But everyone missed it since the "he is finished" story had already been written. No one looked up any facts.

Also the sell-on clause. Milan get a cut if Galatasaray move him in two years. Which is actually plausible if he hits form and some PL club gets interested. So Milan win twice potentially.

Truly amazed how this is looking in February. I think we will all feel differently.

The best decision Gabriel Jesus can make for himself at this time of his career is to leave Arsenal before the end of the summer transfer.

When you look at Arsenal's options in the no.9 striker role, you'll agree with me that he doesn't even fall into the top two so they best move for him will be to move away from the club and go to where he'll get more playing minutes. Staying at Arsenal will reduce his chances of returning back to his best

Frank Kessie returns to Atalanta after having been first at Milan and then at Al Alhi
All those who had gone in search of large profits are slowly returning to base. Is the era of Saudi Arabia already over? It seems to me like I'm seeing China again a few years ago.
Returning to Europe is good which means he can return to shine even though he is no longer young, is leaving Al Ahli because he cannot afford to pay a high contract?
The era of Saudi club transfers is now no longer heard of, not before where Ronaldo initially moved, Moh Salah was also rumored to be going to his real Arab he chose the Turkish team.

I haven't heard of anyone returning from the Saudi pro league. It almost feels like a trap that marks the end of every great career. No matter how good a player is, the moment he decides to feed his greed over the trophies that makes a better career profile, that's where they wait for retirement.

Ronaldo loves to set the path--- he always wants to be recorded as the first to have achieved something, whether it is substantial or not and I like that for him, but Messi's Saudi blank check refusal caused a wave of confusion and opened up new choices for other players. Now people rarely accept Saudi pro deals unless they're badly out of shape.

What a surprise! Gakpo changes his mind, and he decides to snub his deal with Tottenham to join Manchester City. I remember he was under verbal agreement with Tottenham for months, but he just cancel it to join City.
So it's good for him because joining Tottenham is only making him to be a Championship level player. The only dumb player who think to join in Tottenham.

All of Spurs fans got a false hope by him! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I hear City will pay £85m for him, which i think it's a bit overpay. However, it sounds better instead of paying £100m for a player that comes from nowhere. Importantly, he's PL proven.

Madrid has signed a 21-year-old Ghanaian center back. For the time being, he is joining the Castilla squad as a long-term investment. It remains to be seen whether he will eventually break into the first team or be sold. There is not much information available about this player, Oscar Naasei also received offers from German clubs but decided to join Madrid, aiming to eventually make it to the first team.
I had to google the news because there was no name mentioned in the text... Anyway, it's Oscar Naasei, and Real Madrid bought him from second-tier side Granada. He's 21 years old, so surely we're talking about a young player, but not so young to be included in the Castilla squad, so I'm wondering the reason behind this choice.

This is a good decision for Gakpo because there's nothing he is going to do at Tottenham at this moment when they will probably go on relegation to the championship side. It is true that players can create a difference but Gakpo is not a player that can create such change in this Tottenham team. So his decision is best for him and a lost hope for the Tottenham Hotspur fans who thought they would deceive him into joining their team.

However, £85 million is in the excess for Gakpo but a good catch by Liverpool who signed him in a deal less than £50 million last 3 years. On the other hand, I don't know how impactful he will be in the Manchester city team as I don't see him as a more important player than Jeremy Doku but will be a good assistant. Manchester city it doing their best to keep up with the season and Maresca will ensure he comply the deal when possible.

Tottenham are in a very bad shape at the moment but I don't think they'll get relegated. We're only at the beginning of the season, let's give De Zerbi some time.

For me the question is: did Manchester City need Gakpo? They already have Cherki, Doku, Foden and Semenyo (well, and Grealish...), wasn't it better to buy a real striker to replace Haaland instead of the Dutch man? He can play as striker too but his real role is left wing. And £85 millions are a lot of money for a player that won't even be in the starting eleven.

Talisca, the Brazilian player, moved from Al Nassr to a European side, Fenerbahçe. N'Golo Kanté, the former Al-Ittihad player, also moved to thesame Turkish side. Maybe the Turkish League is not a top-tier European league, which is why they can move to the Süper Lig club.

Players are still moving to take advantage of the Gulf League's financial windfall. Ollie Watkins and Tijjani Reijnders are still in good shape, but they are moving to the SPL.

This news makes us wonder: is Gakpo heading to Manchester City? That would likely only happen if Liverpool finds a replacement first.
It seems unlikely to occur before the transfer window closes. In Liverpool's recent draw, Gakpo played and provided the assist for Isak's goal.
If Manchester City were willing to pay £100 million, I would agree with Liverpool letting him go. That kind of money could secure two other players ready for Anfield—much like when Mo Salah arrived after Coutinho left Liverpool to chase trophies with Barcelona.

Spurs aren't a poor team in domestic competition, nor are they the side you’ve portrayed them to be. It’s unfair to paint such a picture of Spurs, as if they aren't a great team.

I thought he was going to move to Aston Villa, I absolutely don’t understand why he has chosen to move to Galatasaray when he can play in the Premier League and still play in the Champions League with Aston Villa, perhaps it’s about the money and not about playing in the Premier League.

Good acquisition for Galatasaray and the Turkish League, we all know that he is a good player and that is why he is going to produce a good performance together with Osimhen.

I don’t really understand why Galatasaray are making so many investment on signing players and paying high wages, we all know they will always win the Turkish Super League, but they can’t win the Champions League, so I don’t really know why they’re spending such money on buying players.

Football is for the business and Entertainment.

#David Ornstein...

The way Manchester City are letting players leave the club even on loan doesn't say good about them this season, these are good players that we thought would transform the club, making them the beast that they are but letting them go is like they are not good enough, Savinho left,  Reijnders followed and now we have Marmoush on his way out, I shouldn't talk about Rodri and Bernardo Silva because they have served the club for longer time than these other ones, well some will say they need playing time but I don't think so because they are better than some player like Semenyo. My concern is, what is Tottenham cooking?

I think a lot of these players had relied on the trust placed in them by Guardiola and since Guardiola left the club they also felt, in a way, they had to leave. For example, Rodri saw his future elsewhere after the coach's departure, as did Bernardo Silva. As for Savinho, he is a crazy signing by Tottenham for the performances and numbers he has struggled to bring and which i still can't explain to this day.

Chelsea reach verbal agreement to sign Emiliano Martínez, HERE WE GO

Club to club agreement with Aston Villa on fee worth £7.5m for permanent move.

Chelsea is coming for the league.
This is exactly what has been missing in the Chelsea squad: a good goalie that can cover the mistakes of defenders. As for coming for the league, I don't know yet. Chelsea needs a good Attacking/central midfielder since they're thinking of parting ways with Enzo Fernandez. If Chelsea can have this, then I'm pretty confident about the league title race.

This is a good decision for Gakpo because [Edited out]
For me the question is: did Manchester City need Gakpo? They already have Cherki, Doku, Foden and Semenyo (well, and Grealish...), wasn't it better to buy a real striker to replace Haaland instead of the Dutch man? He can play as striker too but his real role is left wing. And £85 millions are a lot of money for a player that won't even be in the starting eleven.
That's my point. There's no real need for someone like Gakpo in the Manchester city team right now because there's a great alternative for his role and he is not even up to their standards. Haaland needs another true striker to be assisting him and give him more rest all seasons round unlike Gakpo who's a left winger.

[Edited out]
This news makes us wonder: is Gakpo heading to Manchester City? That would likely only happen if Liverpool finds a replacement first.
It seems unlikely to occur before the transfer window closes. In Liverpool's recent draw, Gakpo played and provided the assist for Isak's goal.
I thought as much the moment I saw the news but from the look of things, it's going to happen. Remember that Liverpool started opening the window for his exit on the completion of Bacola's deal but only hope to get another forward to solidify their stand about his exit. Even though their interests are on Brighton's Minteh and Crystal palace Sarr, it's not going to be very difficult to get the players consent but may have some hurdles reaching terms with the clubs.

Another reason it will be easier for Manchester city is that they have already reached personal terms with Gakpo which could trigger an internal persuasion for Liverpool to intensify their search for this replacement before the Tuesday transfer closure. So yeah, we may see this deal go through.

If Manchester City were willing to pay £100 million, I would agree with Liverpool letting him go. That kind of money could secure two other players ready for Anfield—much like when Mo Salah arrived after Coutinho left Liverpool to chase trophies with Barcelona.
Liverpool also knows that £85 million is a huge sum for the Gakpo and a good business for the club too. Which club will be ready to pay £100 million for a bench player? Gakpo may not make it to the first team, so yeah it's a good deal already for Liverpool.
Spurs aren't a poor team in domestic competition, nor are they the side you’ve portrayed them to be. It’s unfair to paint such a picture of Spurs, as if they aren't a great team.
I didn't mean to belittle Tottenham Hotspur because we have watched them in their good days too. But let's be real, the team is shaky right now and we also see that recent past seasons have been very bad for them and now this season, they've started with two losses in their first games. If Gakpo was a class of player that can trigger the change that Tottenham Hotspur needs right now, it would have been better. But Gakpo is just a near average player that will only blend into the team with little or no much impact.

Tottenham needs to look beyond average player and get a good finisher who will score goals for them and give them winnings they need.

And Dibu Martinez brings that in for them. I don't know how Sanchez happen to made crucial saves for them last season, but he wasn't all that, he also made severe blunders it is good to see Xabi Alonso identifying all of these shortcomings for them. I'm also jealous because my club Manchester United are tiring. I think they're in talks with one Camara youngin, we will see how that proceeds.

Dibu Martinez anyways will be the startup goalkeeper for Chelsea as they host Brighton this afternoon.

I don't understand Manchester City being interested in Gakpo, to be honest he's just an ordinary regular player, even if Manchester City get him, which position will Maresca give to Gakpo?
The left wing? already had Doku, whose agility performance was clearly superior to the Gakpo.
Right wing? of course there is already Foden, who is also better than Gakpo. Spending that kind of money on Gakpo is not worth the performance.

Frank Kessie returns to Atalanta after having been first at Milan and then at Al Alhi
All those who had gone in search of large profits are slowly returning to base. Is the era of Saudi Arabia already over? It seems to me like I'm seeing China again a few years ago.
It’s not over yet, but that’s the direction it’s heading. It’s the same thing the Chinese league went through. Players who go to Saudi Arabia never stay long. They’re only there for the money, once they feel they’ve made enough, they head back to Europe. Just look at Frank Kessie, he stayed at Al-Ahli for only three seasons before moving to Atalanta, a club that’s no stranger to him since he began his career there.
