This should be a dream move for the Brazilian. I know how much Brazilians who play in top clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid thrive and I'm sure it will be the same for Gabriel Jesus.
Time waits for no one and with the transfer window closing in the next two days, I can say this is a successful transfer window for Barcelona. Yet to see a replacement for Araujo but the current incoming are worthy and capable players. Since they can not get Julian Alvarez, this is off course another good move. I think the move is perfect and for those who harbour doubts about him mainly concerning his injuries should know that the Spanish league is not as intense as the Premier league competition.

I see no reason why Atletico de Madrid board keep insisting that they don't want to sell him to Barcelona.

The reason is simple: Barcelona is a direct rival for Atlético, and that's the main reason they won't sell him. Other teams, like Real Madrid, might see him as too weak, and believe me, the environment between these clubs is extremely competitive. Given that no player is above a club, Atlético has every right to retain their player or send him to another team instead.

In fact, I don't know if you remember, but Atlético de Madrid mocked Barcelona's offer for Julián, on top of categorically rejecting Real Madrid's €150 million offer (which, in my opinion, was just a strategic move by Florentino Pérez to sabotage the deal).

The latest medical reports say that Julián has been diagnosed with depression, and that's a serious matter.

The club will obviously keep a close eye on the player since they are responsible for him, but this serves as a lesson for players who want to ignore their club's rules: you simply can't do that. If you want to leave, it has to be under the terms set by the club that's what release clauses are for.

For me the question is: did Manchester City need Gakpo? They already have Cherki, Doku, Foden and Semenyo (well, and Grealish...), wasn't it better to buy a real striker to replace Haaland instead of the Dutch man? He can play as striker too but his real role is left wing. And £85 millions are a lot of money for a player that won't even be in the starting eleven.

Isn't this standard City transfer policy? They buy a bunch of football players, then if they don't shine, they sell them and buy others again - you could say it's the Monte Carlo method. And it is clear that they must buy "with a reserve" both for the purposes of rotation and in order to have an "exchange fund" in order to pretend that the FFP is being observed. So City spent around $300 million this summer. Cool. Liverpool are also approaching that mark.

I'm surprised as well. I thought Barcelona is done in the transfer market after Alvarez drama. But did you get the figure right? Like you mean £10m plus ads on? Was Arsenal sleeping when they were negotiating with Barcelona? If this is not daylight robbery, what else can we call this? If the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Delap of Chelsea were sold for £65m and £45m respectively, how on earth Gabriel Jesus is sold for £10m?

I know he's also not a consistent striker. I mean he's not a good replacement for Lewandowski but he's definitely underpriced with this price. I will rate the signing 6/10 because he's not a threat kind of striker.

He's 21 years old, so surely we're talking about a young player, but not so young to be included in the Castilla squad, so I'm wondering the reason behind this choice.

I thought Oscar Naasei was the last young signing Madrid made in the transfer market this season, but apparently there is still one more name Sergio Martinez who has been confirmed to have officially joined. Interestingly Mourinho took him to the first team to train. Sergio Martínez is younger than Oscar. I think Barcelona fans need to come out and start applauding Deco instead of just Laporta because to be sincere, Deco has done brilliantly in terms of the profiles of players he brings to Barcelona and how he negotiates their fees. Yes this might not be the statement striker signing that most people most especially the Barcelona actually think they should be getting after the departure of Lewandowski and Ferran Torres but I will say this is a very good back up striker considering the fact that Raphinha is currently doing absolutely brilliant in that role.

People will find excuses for this signing like he is injury prone but they should remember that a change of environment and management can actually stop that or reduce it. Have we forgotten how Dembele was before his move to PSG and now how he rarely gets that long term injury. And sincerely once Barcelona can keep Gabriel Jesus fit, he is way better than Ferran Torres as a striker. Overall Barcelona should look for a center back and their transfer window is a 9/10 for me.

Sometimes we should look at the nature of the contract and most especially the years the players have left on their contract and also the player’s age. Gabriel Jesus is 29 years old already and also has lots of injury concern and plus he is one a £260k salary at Arsenal now compare that to the younger players; Jackson and Delap who are both on longer contract and very much lower wages (£100k each).

Now remember how much was Danny Welbeck signed from Brighton by Chelsea? If I can remember the was less than £10m that was just paid for Gabriel Jesus

Oops! I didn't see this swoop coming but it's a good thing but I hope that he won't be riddled by injuries like he suffered while he was at Arsenal. The question that remains to be answered is if Gabriel Jesus can be the best replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Hey this is not unexpected especially by looking at how Barcelona rumors for targetman in recent weeks it feels Gabriel Jesus is not on the radar but now here we go?

10 million plus ads on is not too bad for a Jesus although for the last few seasons he has seemed to be declining in terms of form but Barcelona know that this is not a core line-up as they will still give Adeyemi priority and Gabriel only as an option and rotation.
The problem is that after a fairly long string of injuries for Gabriel Jesus whether ultimately being at Barcelona is the right situation. I think it would be better for him to be in Serie A as there have been rumours, but when he chooses Barcelona as he is now, I hope he is successful with his new adventure in La Liga.

I think this is the time to allow him go, Palace doesn't have to hold him for long because he has already done his part for the club, he should move to the next challenge and his playing style his strength will match Liverpool's pattern of play. They need someone like him to some how cover that position Salah left behind, the young player Ngumoha is not giving what they expect, he still needs time to adapt so Sarr can operate from both the left and right depending on what Slot wants. There are some players that a club shouldn't think twice while bidding, go all out because the player will deliver when given the opportunity to play for the club so I'd say Liverpool should slash in on Sarr if not some other club won't think twice in spending to get him example Arsenal, if it happens that way then Liverpool will lose this chance of upgrading their attack.

The young Ngumoha needs time and it is still early to adapt, and it is difficult to replace Salah. Liverpool must always attack and try to score a lot. They have to come back and give their opponents a hard time. They aim to win the Premier League. Obviously they have to watch out for Arsenal.

I heard this news on social media a while ago, and I was also reading some people's comments. Most people commented that he might be a good alternative to Ferran Torres, it seems that he has a good reputation for missing goals.

Looking at his performance statistics at Arsenal, it can be assumed that he is an injury-prone player, which is why he does not get the chance to play many matches. Even his performance is not like replacing Lewandowski. Since the environment at Barcelona is completely different and Hansi Flick has the ability to turn ordinary players into star players, I hope Flick will turn this player into a star player.

He is 27 years old and has been a key player in the first two matches of this season, even scoring a goal. Of course, if both teams want Gakpo, then Man City is the top choice. If this happens, I think Liverpool really shouldn’t let Gakpo go to Man City.

I didn’t see this coming. Jesus was offered to Atletico Madrid. Suddenly a here we go for him to Barcelona.

He is the replacement for Ferran Tores that got a move to PSG. It is a good deal BTW. Gabriel Jesus is far better than Ferran. If Jesus stays fit he will have a better season at Barcelona.

Liverpool is tearing apart, who else are they going to keep? Gakpo leaving to Manchester City?
This is surprising because I don’t literally see what he will play in Manchester City because they have players already playing in that position, unless if he was signed for squad depth which I don’t think he will agree because he is a starter in Liverpool. Jesus because of his weekly £300k without even playing. I'm sure with Barcelona having gotten Jesus, they have removed their eyes from Alvarez and now he might be left alone after wanting to force a move away from the club he still has a contract with. Yesterday, I saw how sharp and good Atletico Madrid was against Sevilla and I'm thinking if these guys continue like this, they will be a force against Real Madrid and Barcelona this seam for the league.

They played well yesterday, but they don't consistently perform well in every match. Inconsistency was Atletico Madrid's biggest problem last year. If they continue this year with similar inconsistency, Atletico Madrid may fall short of expectations. They drew 2-2 with Villarreal last match; however, we can say they dropped a point against a tough opponent. Hopefully, they will become consistent and be the third strongest contender in the Spanish league for the championship.

Seeing this news on Fabrizio Romano’s page earlier this morning was quite a shorking or surprising moment to me. I was thinking Barca would still stick to the Alvarez idea or leave it only for me to see Gabriel Jesus deal announced. I heard he will be traveling to Spain tomorrow for medical which further shows how ready he is to get straight to the pitch of Barcelona after this deal. I’m also a bit surprised to see arsenal letting him go so easily at a price which is much lower than what same Barcelona was bargaining for Alvarez. I am sure the guy will be so happy to move to Spain and start his career with Barcelona too, I only hope he will be able to showcase himself beyond he did when he was at Arsenal.

But is this a permanent transfer? For only 10 million euros? Because, if I recall correctly, Napoli tried to purchase Gabriel Jesus for a while but Arsenal were asking for a lot of money, surely it wasn't 10 millions... Good for Barcelona if that is the deal, I'm not a big fan of Gabriel Jesus but 10 millions for him are a steal. I wonder about the salary. They basically almost replicated last summer's Rashford's transfer.
