I haven't heard of anyone returning from the Saudi pro league. It almost feels like a trap that marks the end of every great career. No matter how good a player is, the moment he decides to feed his greed over the trophies that makes a better career profile, that's where they wait for retirement.

Ronaldo loves to set the path--- he always wants to be recorded as the first to have achieved something, whether it is substantial or not and I like that for him, but Messi's Saudi blank check refusal caused a wave of confusion and opened up new choices for other players. Now people rarely accept Saudi pro deals unless they're badly out of shape.

Talisca, the Brazilian player, moved from Al Nassr to a European side, Fenerbahçe. N'Golo Kanté, the former Al-Ittihad player, also moved to thesame Turkish side. Maybe the Turkish League is not a top-tier European league, which is why they can move to the Süper Lig club.

Maybe? We both know it's not top tier and they are left with no better options. Trying to return back to any major league will land them in bottom-tier or teams in the relegations, especially if they are above 30. I haven't really been looking out for shuttles anyway, but now I know.

Players are still moving to take advantage of the Gulf League's financial windfall. Ollie Watkins and Tijjani Reijnders are still in good shape, but they are moving to the SPL.

I remember a time when millions of Nigerians supported the proposed contract where the Gulf league scouters came for Victor Osimhen. He still gets blamed for not choosing that window of opportunity because he thought Chelsea would make a move for him, but he missed out on both.

I’m not sure what Barcelona hopes to achieve with Gabriel Jesus. Sure, he’s a bargain but you can’t really compare him to Alvarez.

With Barcelona signing of Jesus, The mental health of Julian Alvarez who was expecting to force his way through to Barcelona through some means will be further affected because now it looks like he will be left with no option than to opt for Arsenal that seems to be the team that is still pushing to try and get him aside any other team that we don't know yet.

Arsenal has sold Martinelli, Jesus who are attacking players in the team. it is logical to expect Arsenal to try and sign another attacking player to help balance up the deficit that selling those players bring. Who is that player going to be?

Well apparently it seems like Barcelona has find an option for a striker signing in this window, and it is Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal… I was actually surprised when I saw this news because I didn’t expect Barcelona to be able to sign any striker in this transfer window but Here we go..

So since it was clear to the Barcelona’s Board that signing Alvarez is not possible, they’ve found an alternative for a much cheaper price of just 10 million euros  plus possible add-ons.

I am an Arsenal fan, but I never come across any news related to Jesus moving to Barcelona, all I know is that the Barcelona was chasing Alvarez, the player don’t want them and the player decide not to join them, and the management wants to  let him go, but Arsenal that made an offer and the player don’t want Arsenal, therefore, they both left the deal, maybe he will still join Arsenal once Atletico Management agree to terms and conditions.

Anyways, congratulation to Barcelona they are finally secured the striker, even though he’s not reliable completely he can still try for them because you have experience and I’ve won a lot of trophies with Manchester city and won another trophy with Arsenal last season.

I don't know why Barcelona just switched their intention towards him like what they are going to do with him. Julian Alveraz was the best choice but unfortunately they couldn't get succeeded in his signing but now they pick Gabriel Jesus rather than others. I was quite optimistic that Barcelona will definitely be signed someone special but still they brought an average players.

However, it still okay to used him as ST role. I know Barcelona have already an intense financial crisis and maybe that's why they chose cheap player. Anyway let's see what happens next. Does he will keep the ST job in good way or not.

It's funny how both Barcelona and Real got significantly stronger where they did not need to - midfield and forwards respectively - and failed to address the real issues they had, which are exactly inverse. Jesus is an expensive bargain bin option at this point. I guess Flick wants to cosplay PSG's strikerless approach.

Barcelona could have foreseen that with this whole strong headedness and all coming from ATM, they may not be able to get Alvarez like they have always wanted and so they had to go for another alternative before the transfer window closes..No rumors, nothing at all, and before we all know what was happening Gabriel Jesus has been signed..I mean I must say that Barcelona took everyone by surprise with this signing..
Since his injury and all Jesus form has dropped drastically and he hasn't really been performing up to standard and expectations and I can see why Arsenal were willing to let him go for that low fee... I am fully convinced that Arteta wouldn't really miss his departure since he already have Gyokeres and Kai Havertz playing in that number 9 position already.. I know Hansi Flick to be really good at bringing out the best in players, he did that with Raphinha who is now currently the talisman and face of Barcelona.. And so he may likely do so with Jesus and make him great like he used to be at City..

I think the player should be where he'd put his all while playing because if he doesn't want to play at a particular club the whole struggling to get him will be all for nothing and it will affect his form too, Barcelona are still looking for a way to get his signature but they some how think Atletico Madrid are joking or something, now we have Jesus joining Barcelona from Arsenal which means they could manage the Brazilian while they hope and pray to have Alverez to join them anytime soon. Sometimes I don't think Barcelona need someone like Alvarez if Atletico Madrid does not want to give him out, there are other players that if they whistle the deal won't take more than a week to pull through so I'd love it more if they focus more on what they have.

If Barcelona are still chasing this player with all they have got it means they haven't gotten the message yet, Atletico Madrid said they will never sell this particular player to Barcelona which means no deal can be done any day concerning Alvarez, is best to forget and start going for another player, if the player wants a particular club and the parent club decides not to allow the player go to that club it brings issues to both parties and that is what the Argentina striker is facing now. In their last game the fans wasn't supporting him or showing him love at least that would make him stay I think but they went on to boo at him, now they don't want to see him at the club which doesn't send any positive messages to him to even stay for just this season.
That is another problem players face, they sign contract that will affect them later on and clubs knows how to trap these players, we'd give you this and that but sign up to 5 years and before you know the player have losing that happiness in that club and the only option is to leave which will be difficult. Nothing more for Alvarez at ATM, he should just pray something happens in his favor but not to join Barcelona.

I kept telling people to be calm, but they don't see past their nosein things like this. It is a phase. It was once the MLS, then it was the Chinese league and now Saudi. The difference is the Saudi league have more money to spend than the MLS and China, but that won't be enough to maintain a top level without proper grassroot football.

If you guys had looked futher ou would have seen that Barcelona don't intend to replace Alvarez with Jesus. He was gotten as a backup. More like a Ferran replacement. They are still looking for a long-term target, and Alvarez is who they want. If they are not able to sign him this transfer window, they will try again in January. This is also why Alvarez has not said yes to Arsenal.
There was a reason the Barcelona president came out to publicly say they would buy Alvarez if Atleti would sell. It was to reassure Alvarez that they're still waiting for him and he should not panic.
The transfer window would close in less than 24 hours, and we know deadline day is usually very interesting. Let's see if there will be a twist of events.

The deal they agreed with Arsenal is worth 120 million. This shows that it's not about the money. It was never about the money. If they wanted to sell to Barcelona, they could have said the money is not enough and asked Barcelona to renegotiate. That is how deals are done. But they don't want to sell to Barcelona. Even if Barcelona offers 150 million, they still won't sell to them unless their hand is forced.

Good point but I had that same thought of him making good use of his size, yet nothing of such that comes from him. The Seria A he is moving to is not just the kind you'd relax and allow the ball to meet you, as a player of his kind this should be a reason to start running towards the ball like he's hungry to score not like how slow he used to be at Everton. Another issue is how the Fiorentina side are playing, we saw them struggling last season that almost pushed them off the first division and this season only tells that they could be on their way to the relegation zone or sitting comfortably in that number 20th position on the log before the end of the season and Beto won't be at his best if the club is performing weak.

Lol, they just have to make this move by all means, they've seen the league is not friendly this season and playing without a striker will be their worst mistake till January transfer window opens, so instead of killing themselves for an impossible move over Julian Alvarez they will have to go with the next alternative which is signing Jesus, it's a nice move anyways, at least he will feel in the gap till further notice, and for Julian Alvarez except for Arsenal I think no team is interested on him now, so he should have his time there at Atletico Madrid.

It was a sharp deal before the transfer window closes. Gabriel Jesus is on two years contract and to get an extension if his performance is impressive. Today will be his medicals though, he hasn't been on his best form of late. I hope Flick can bring out the best from him. Injury might be his problem.

It’s a good signing if you ask me, the only challenge is for this player being fit. If Gabriel Jesus can be fit for Barcelona he will be a great addition to the squad. He’s a player that can score goals if given the opportunity and he will fit into the Barcelona pattern of play. The only surprise here is that nobody saw this move coming till it was announced that they have signed the player. Gabriel Jesus was a successful player in Manchester City, his Arsenal move didn’t work out the way he would have wanted, but I strongly believe that he’s still a top player. I hope this move works for him.

I guess that once Barcelona realized they wouldn’t be able to sign Álvarez, they decided to look for a more affordable alternative. First of all, they don’t have that much money to spend on an expensive transfer, so they decided to go for someone more affordable among the attacking options. In fact, I’m not sure how well Gabriel Jesus will be able to perform at Barcelona. The first few rounds have shown that, so far Barcelona haven’t really felt Lewandowski’s absence. But perhaps it will be easier for Jesus to find his best form at Barcelona because they are such an attacking team.

It’s a good signing if you ask me, the only challenge is for this player being fit. If Gabriel Jesus can be fit for Barcelona he will be a great addition to the squad. Do you really think it’s a good signing for Barcelona, Barcelona went in for Alvarez but because of the manner that Athletico Madrid is handling this transfer have lead to Barcelona making a dramatic decision to leave the player alone and went in for Gabriel Jesus, I don’t think this is a good transfer for Barcelona, it seems like it’s a downgrade when you look at the caliber of player they were linked to, so it’s absolutely a terrible signing for Barcelona out from nowhere, so most times when the transfer comes out from nowhere it’s always something that might not be supported by the Fans.

The first few rounds have shown that, so far Barcelona haven’t really felt Lewandowski’s absence. But perhaps it will be easier for Jesus to find his best form at Barcelona because they are such an attacking team.

The season is too early for a team with a squad quality like Barcelona to feel much impact of losing Lewandowski, so they’re looking pretty good at least for now but Gabriel might be a good addition to the team as the season advances and gets serious. I suppose Hansi Flick will know how to properly manage Gabriel’s form and playing minutes to reduce the risks of injury, so this is a good signing for Barcelona.
