Needing a new challenge is fair but calling his stay at Inter Milan a waste of time is not, he's winning trophies and consistently plays major league football, if Inter Milan wasn't competing well in the Serie A then it would've been a waste of time for a player of his caliber but then they're one of the strongest in the league.

Barcelona have depth, but not with popular players as many other teams do; they have a rich supply of academy players who are super talented and can perform whenever they have the opportunity, and that has helped them not to overspend so much in the transfer window. With how well the Barcelona team is currently playing, I think they did one of the best business transactions in the transfer window of all the teams in the world because the quality of players they got for the price they paid is totally worth it, even down to Gabriel Jesus.

I think the priority for Chelsea now is to find a proper replacement in midfield for Enzo Fernandes. Chelsea sold Enzo without getting a proper replacement available and towards the last minute of the transfer window Monaco cancelled a deal with Chelsea for their midfielder, Camara which really affected Chelsea a lot. Now the coach have to keep playing Reece James and Malo Gusto out of position for most games now and it’s affecting their performances especially James who haven’t really been that much effective for some games now but he’s helping the club anyway. Although there’s also need to sign at least two more defenders to cover up for the departed Tosin and Badiashile, that defensive area has been a problem for Chelsea for a long time now and I think the club needs to careful get a good player for that position this time around and not to rush into getting a replacement yet. If Bastoni is the right person for that position then they should pay that amount to get him. Chelsea can still look around the premier league and get a good defender who is used to playing in the premier league just the way they signed Lacroix who is showing signs of being a great signing in that department.

Milan spent 31 million to acquire Bastoni. If Chelsea is now interested in buying him for 80M then it would undoubtedly be very good deal for them. Bastoni's contract run until 2028. Therefore this is right time to sell him. If he somehow fails to perform well this season then no one will be interested in buying him for 80 million next season.

Although Milan previously rejected offer from The Blues but situation has changed now. They might either sell Bastoni or extend his contract. Management must make one of these two decision before winter transfer window open.

I was wondering what gave Barcelona too much confidence that they wanted to splash that amount of money on Alvarez. They were so invested on Alvarez like if they don't have him, they were not going to have an exclusive 2026 season but it turned out that this season is even better than last season when they have Lewandowski among their midst. I do forget that Todd Boehly is even the owner of Chelsea. I think since Abrahamovic depart from Chelsea has rendered that club visionless, I was expecting more from Xabi like stay on top of the table without any loss or draw in their first league but it wasn't that great. The more I think about Ziyech to Botafogo, the more it feels like a PR move to quiet down angry fans. The team's form has fallen off a cliff recently, results are bad and the supporters are calling for heads. Signing a big name like Hakim buys management some breathing room and creates the illusion of ambition.

Reality is he's going to have to elevate his level significantly if he's actually going to help Botafogo on the field.
