I'm only wondering how long until they realize if they really need ready to play CB. Bastoni will suit them well with all of his experience, why do they need to gamble on another unproven kid.
Don't they watch how Huijsen made so many questionable decision when he was on the pitch? All of their success were mostly coming when they signed ready to play player instead of gambling on the kid.

You had a working theory, a pattern that has been tested and trusted, it's been working for. So what exactly happened to that pattern, now his playing some players out of position in his experiments. It’s always a big risk for a huge club to employ a manager who hasn’t won big trophies. That’s not to say it can’t work but it is clearly a huge risk.

Personally I don’t think he should have been given the job. He came in as an interim manager, steadied the ship and did well. Somebody elite should have been given the full time job though.

There won’t be much patience with him this season, he’ll be judged as a full time coach. He needs to start winning games consistently or he will be sacked, it’s just how it goes at a big club.

After seeing Carrick current situation, I think it's better for him to step down. It's not that Carrick is not capable as a coach but the problem is in the club, players, management and fans. The pressure to always be perfect to whoever the coach is is clearly unreasonable. As if being a coach is easy, just look at them always don't want to go through the process and demand instant performance, full of victories, and then win trophies. If Carrick continues to be given such criticism, whoever the coach is, he will never be able to be at Manchester United.

And then another coach comes again and fail to taking Manchester united off the point they are currently seated at and we start to blame the coach for his failure yet again? If a team continues to change multiple coaches without a sign of improvement, does it not suggest that this is not just a coaching problem but that the players and even the management needs to sit up and do some fixing? after this break, if nothing changes, then we will be clear on the fact that they need massive change of players and need to start building the team from almost the zero level spot.

It's true that fans should give him a chance considering he just took over a team as big as Manchester United with a large fan base and a long history. Although Michael Carrick had given hope, Manchester United would perform well in every competition. Now the big problem is he performed so well with this squad last season. I know last season they were just playing only the premier league when he took over, and that really helped him and the team to finish season the season in a flying manner. Now with so much competition available for them that why I feel they are struggling to get in foam.

For me I still don’t think Carrick is the problem, maybe he his not good enough for the team, but it not just him. Manchester United needs to be rebuild, with new players, proven players and a coach that will put the team where they deserve to be.

It showcase the ambitions of the management. They just want to make profits while investing in a rinse and repeat managers who can not win them the Premier League Competition. Because, if we had serious management, they'd have brought in a tactically better manager.

Roy Keane was a huge advocate for this but, the management will always want to do their thing. I sometimes wonder how he is different from Ole Gunner Solskjear.  If he fails to beat Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, the pressure will increase. The players look confused on the pitch, like there was no structural game plan before the start of the match, and that is something that we did not see last season. Carrick on the other hand is a quite coach, and he has little or no on-pitch impact on the players, because anyone watching could see how demotivated the players are on the pitch.

It's rather a mentality problem over the quality of the players in the team. Hull City won United without the best of players, their mentality won them the match, and that's what the United team lacks right now.

I've agreed with what you said, but we're living in the era when even a club can do a pre agreement for the player to join their squad, and Chelsea brought this trend to us. The history said that the germany players signed by them always suit them well, and won multiple trophies.
Also it's also bad doing a late scout because it will make them often end in overpaying the talent such as Diomande.

Carrick took over a team that's dying and turned it around, he finished third and was able to qualify for the champions league. This season came with lots of expectations, rivaling Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool were in this expectation but as of now, they are rivals to teams they don't expect because they are below the 10th position on the point table.

For Manchester United, the declining performance this season wasn't expected at all, because of how their played and finished last season, Liverpool also was on the top, last season Manchester City was performing on below average, so if I see them under performing this new season that won't surprise me, most of the big clubs have one problem in common that is pushing behind and placing other smaller clubs forward, their problem that I noticed is dressing room problem which coaches are expected to handle before now.
