I don't think he made the right decision returning to Madrid, he was already having a good time at Lyon.

Arda Guler case is different, he joined Madrid the time Toni Kroos and Modric were already talking of retirment, so he had no competition as such had the chance of proving himself. As for Endrick, he joined Madrid when Mbappe was already at his best. Endrick was then inevitably dropped to the bench. There's no way Endrick can fight for the CF position with a player like Mbappe.  He should go find another club where he can get enough play time.
Arda Guler is a proper Midfielder and his role is very effective in the Real Madrid team this season and under the new manager, José Mourinho. Unlike Endrick who have to fight for this position of CF when a top player like Kylian Mbappe is there, you and I know that's not going to work. Mbappe is a top experience CF and have been able to bang goals and delivering masterclass week in and week out.

Endrick should have just stay at Lyon because he's one of the generational upcoming talent and at his age, he's supposed to be improving and making smarter choices. But what did he get for that? He's not just biased but he put full hope on Real Madrid project not knowing that he's not part of it.

Ronaldo will still play, of cause withnesing Messi's retirement will make him feel some type of unfulfilled, and he will want to have a better retirement. Now all of a sudden he doesn't want to retire again  Cheesy
What the hell is going on here? This Ronaldo drama feels more like PR instead of someone who got abandoned by his club. Ronaldo should be more wiser because he's an old man. He's stated he would come to the club if they need him, but he would leave if they don't.
After what he called shameful treatment by his team, yet he's still hoping to play in the national team? I can't believe this obsession by him to play on his national team.

Pedro Neto was also warmed for more than 20 minutes, but he didn't play in the end and he didn't book a plane then go home like a man child. He's not tantrum like Ronaldo.

I think this situation is even more complicated than just calling Ronaldo childish, at this stage of his career he should be more mature about these situations because he has already achieved a lot in football and there is no need to turn every decision by the coach into a personal issue. I understand that he wants to play for Portugal but he needs to accept that being a great player does not mean the manager has to play him always, other players get left on the bench after warming up or traveling with the squad.

Honestly at his age if he believes he deserves to play the best response should be to prove it on the pitch rather than create story around himself. If the coach does not see him as a starter he should either accept the role or prove through his performance in training or matches that he deserves to start

In the wildest dream, Jorge Jesus would be sacked  Cheesy. I wouldn't believe it either, even if it was a dream.

Jorge Jesus is backed by Portugal. Hereby, above all players in his care. Any player who doesn't want to work under him will leave the team. Roberto Martínez didn't get instant results as the head coach of Portugal. It took him some time to win the UEFA Nations League in 2024-2025. Portugal can still win the Euros or the Nations League under Jorge Jesus. It is just a matter of time.
There is absolutely no reason to sack Jorge Jesus, since his arrival, Portugal has played well and hasn't lost a single match under his leadership. The whole Ronaldo saga is a thing of entitlement and respect, his decision did not affect the result negatively so sacking him should never be considered.

Ronaldo had reportedly returned to International football and could play in their next game, he should have imagined that was the wrong way to leave his country after all the efforts and recognition.

I think think it a case of feeling entitled, sometimes you just really need to get things ironed out. If a player of his status feel is not treated right, then I don’t see anything wrong in saying it. He was wrong to leave the Portugal camp, and he realized it. He had apologized and he have been suspended. He said he his available to still play for Portugal after the suspension.

When a player of his quality and history is still available to play, you need a o revolve the team around him. We have seen other teams do it. The problem is there is so many ego at this Portugal team and that why it difficult to revolve the team around him.

He his back at Al nassr and his chase for a thousand goals still continues. Let the old man enjoy his football for the rest of his remaining time to play.

Get to understand how this works, he is a player and should answer to his national team management and fans, he shouldn't have walked out on his home on a private jet. he's not done this anywhere else, is he bigger than his home? It's a good thing he apologized to his fans, before getting the suspension.

I still haven't understood what you have to say about Güler  Wink His bet paid off, so we aren't going to discuss his strategy (which was no different from Endrick's) at all?
It is clear that the game isn't over for Endrick, but one can assume with a high degree of certainty that it is over for him at Real Madrid. Unfortunately, he didn't quite reach the level required at Real (though he might still develop - who knows?), but that shouldn't stop him from finding a spot at other good club. He’s only 20, his best years are still ahead of him. In essence, he is already at a very high level - a Brazil international, he just needs to make some progress, and everything will be fine. You don't necessarily have to be a Real Madrid player to make history.
Guler's situation was different in my opinion because he was dealing with way less competition than Endrick: if Mbappé and Vinicius are available, they are going to play, there is no discussion about that, so just for this reason Endrick's space would always be very limited. And this year there also is Diomande, the most expensive player in Real Madrid's history. And I'm not even mentioning Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz and Carlos Espí.

Guler, on the other hand, was fighting for a spot with Valverde, Tchouaméni and Camavinga (I'm not counting Bellingham because he would always play), so his chances of being in the starting eleven were considerably higher. Valverde's performances have been quite erratic during the last years and the two French men are not exactly Real Madrid material at this point.

That's why, in my opinion, is not possible to place the two players on the same page.

Endrick only officially joined Real Madrid in 2024, though a pre-contract was signed back in 2022, it would be strange if he didn't try to break into the starting lineup. And you're exaggerating the competition for him, there were seasons when Real Madrid's central attacker was literally Joselu! Rodrygo and Vinícius are wingers, whereas Endrick is a center-forward, even there, he isn't really competing directly with Mbappé, since Mbappé tends to drift toward the left flank or play as a number 9. Endrick lost the battle for a spot (whether to other players or to Real Madrid's standards) - that is a fact.
You're underestimating the competition for Güler, the left flank is definitely out of the question for him. That leaves Bellingham, Diomande, Rodrygo, Diaz and Silva - I don’t know why you mentioned Valverde, Camavinga, and Tchouaméni, they aren't his rivals. But if we assume they are, then the situation becomes even more interesting!  Wink
It still seems to me that (even Vinny, Mbappe, Espi, and, let's say, Rodrigo are Endik's direct competitors) they have literally the same situation.

This is the fact. Ronaldo has been enslaved by his desire to reach his 1000 goals because if not, there's no way he will be back to the team for any reason. Jorge Jesus understands this and that's why he treated him the way he did. But then, to me Ronaldo over reacted and drew the media attention over a situation he could have handled maturely from the beginning and avoid all the drama. Now if he comes back to the team, his fans can get disappointed except the manager is ready to tender a public apology to him. If not, then what has he achieved with the arrogance. His willingness to reach the 1000 goals has truly caused him a level of desperation to play.

He's back to Al Nassr to continue his move for his mission. If he is ready to calm down and work with the manager, then he will have a good stay in the team and retire honourably.

I don't think at all that Ronaldo puts the desire to reach a thousand goals first rather than the desire to do well with Portugal. And in any case it is not certain that one thing influences the other, because in any case the fact that Ronaldo wants to score goals is also a good sign for Portugal, because if he managed to score goals it would also give the team the advantage.
So it's a discussion that doesn't make any sense.

A player can be in a team, scoring goals and winning personal awards, yet the team is struggling to finish the season, not even as league champions, at least in a good position. Ronaldo lacks teammates with personalities who can sacrifice their own achievements for his sake.

If it were Messi approaching closer to 1000 goals, I'm sure all Argentine players would make sure Messi broke that record, I feel sorry for Ronaldo, he needs to retire and focus on club level, that is where he can attain the goal-scoring records.

I'm not surprised that he's not retiring yet, and I'm sure he's had rethink about his decision solely because it will ruin the legacy he's trying if he retires so early.
Personally, I feel it's up to the coach to do whatever he wants with players. It's not to cool to ask them to warm up and then not use them but it's not as if Ronaldo is the first person to get this treatment but suddenly it happens to him and he cries like a baby and throws tantrums. The only thing Ronaldo will do if he comes back is to make everything be all about him and nothing else. Portugal played well in his absence and I doubt that if he doesn't come back, it will affect the team much though.

It's a comment that doesn't make any sense because it's a discussion you can't make when talking about Cristiano Ronaldo. There are always players who are sent to warm up and then aren't used, but a player at the peak of his career, at the end of his career, at 41 years old, you don't let him warm up and then not put him on the field when you yourself had guaranteed him playing time that you would have let him play. So it's normal that a legend can't be treated this way.

The Portuguese coach is intentionally toying with Ronaldo's feelings. The coach told Ronaldo he wouldn't play him for two matches because of his health and later asked if he could give him 30 minutes, but then disappointed him by giving him none. Ronaldo didn't ask for it. The coach said those words.

The force driving Ronaldo is to accomplish his goal. Everything else doesn't matter to him.

It seems so incredible to me that such a coach, who has truly never achieved anything in his life at a football level, can take the right to warm up a fundamental player like Cristiano Ronaldo and then even choose not to let him play, as if he actually knew what was good for the team and for Portugal, when before Cristiano, Portugal was a team that didn't exist. At the end of the day, Ronaldo isn't bigger than the coach. If it were something about achievements, why didn't he step into the field and sub himself in just because he's at his so-called peak? Do you watch their games at all? Let's not use sentiment and our devotion to a particular player override our sense of judgement. So what if he was told to warm up and doesn't get used? The essence of making subs is because either the game needs someone to change it or the other players on the field are exhausted or injured and with how Portugal played Norway, they didn't need Ronaldo so what's the argument?
You sound like you're more hurt and embarrassed that Ronaldo wasn't used more than the fact that they didn't actually lose.

This season Chelsea don't want to left behind and that's they want to do everything possible to package their team up and get the best out of the players to able to face any of their opponents. The biggest problem of Chelsea is defender and the center, because it seems that the signing that they made in transfer windows which was midfield attack and the two defenders are weak, that's why their faces challenges when ever they play match.

Between Chelsea and Manchester United I don't know which of them their performance is better than each other, because both face same challenges every seasons. Shall Manchester United performance's later better when the season was about to end, but Chelsea performance worst.

We must always take into consideration a fundamental element, namely the change of coach, which is never something to be taken for grnted and which brings significant changes in the short term.
The coach must also be given the opportunity to juggle the various players and try to understand which is the ideal squad to put on the pitch. So if all the results were not perfectly positive it is also for this reason.

It's a good thing he apologized to his fans, before getting the suspension.

That's where I faulted him. He has the right to express his anger if he's poorly treated by the manager but allowing his ego to push him to extent of leaving the camp is something I won't support. I think there's a problem of proper communication between him and Jesus and that's the genesis of the whole problem. I'm very sure the wouldn't have escalated to this stage if they had sat each other down and express things. At Ronaldo stage now, he's not suppose to be fighting for a start, he knows his worth and the coach knows as well. If starting him would not get them the desire result, the coach should respectfully let him know the reason for keeping him on the bench and Ronaldo should understand his decision. Above all, I think the media is doing more harm than good in this saga.

It share the same thoughts a first but I thought he must have had this crunch talk with Jose Mourinho before returning. Fr fr, why return to Real Madrid when you're already having a good time with Lyon?! Why not continue with Lyon for a second season? Arda Güler patience paid off, he waited for his turn and he has officially gotten that under Jose Mourinho. If Jose Mourinho had not promised him game time  he'd have most definitely looked for ways to leave the club. He stayed and Jose Mourinho also brought that youngin who has scored two late winners for Real Madrid. I think he should find a way out during the January transfer window. Maybe a move back to French league 1 or the Premier League will make sense.

Bournemouth is monitoring Fer Lopez, Wolves's midfielder at this moment. So if they is gonna sign him, this means they will let Alex Scott to leaves. I've heard Chelsea and Liverpool are competing for him, but i still have no clue in which team he's gonna moving on.
Last time, i saw him interacted with Chelsea's players on IG. It might be a signal if he goes to Chelsea soon?

It's interesting on what price Bournemouth will sell him, and it most probably it's gonna be closer to the 100m or even more? I think we will see him to play in the new club after the winter transfer window.

So we will see him decide whether he will wearing Liverpool or Chelsea's jersey.

It's almost absurd if we think about how the prices of players have increased compared to a few years ago. A player like Scott, who comes from Wolverhampton and is valued at 100 million and arouses the interest of both Bournemouth and Chelsea, when even Cristiano Ronaldo alone was valued at 90 million for the transfer to Real Madrid. i wonder how it is possible to pay a player such a sum.

Also know that the leagues makes more money than before, it is fair if players are priced more, even if we think they aren’t supposed to be worth that huge figure. The new generation of footballers are slower in terms of performing, compared to the Messi and Ronald era, majority of players are mid players that performs one or two season wonders before flopping for the rest of the seasons.

Cheesy
Jorge Jesus is an arrogant and ungrateful coach, Ronaldo made him Al-nassr coach and Portugal coach yet he betrayed their agreements just to prove a point,  the disrespect was so much  for Ronaldo to bear leaving the national team camp was a good decision,  if he knew he won't play Ronaldo there was no need to tell him to warm up for the game.

I'm happy Ronaldo has been able to release a statement to explain his grievance and has apologized to the fans and players,  after his punishment he might return to the team in the next international break, he deserves a good farewell match in his name as the greatest player in history of football.

Perhaps I would agree with you on this, even though I'm not a Ronaldo fan, what the manager is doing right now is completely embarrassing for a player like Ronaldo not even anyone should face that humiliation, someone who left the team. With a level of disrespect and the whole them does not want him or maybe most let don't want him, how then does the manager want him to come to the team and play or maybe he is going to keep him on suspense like you said that will be more embarrassing.

He is a coach who has literally never achieved anything in his career and who believes he is above a player who has written the history of the sport.

Therefore he is a coach who does not deserve any kind of recognition but who must learn what respect means, especially for a player of this caliber.

The manager has a job to do though and Ronaldo is 41 years old. Nobody can go on forever, the human body can not perform at the same level in the forties as the twenties. It’s just human biology.

It would be nice if Ronaldo got a good send off but football is business. Portugal games can’t be tailored for Ronaldo’s ego.

I also think Endrick made a big mistake to return to Real Madrid,  because he is already doing well at Lyon and I don't think he can bench the players that are there right now. He is at a stage of developing and he needs to be playing. I don't think he will be able to develop well at Real Madrid,  because he needs playing time to develop.  I said he made a mistake to return to Real Madrid,  because he already have playing time at Lyon,  which is definitely helping his development.  I really don't know those that are managing or advising him, but I think he really need to move to somewhere else to help him develop.
